Meh.. it's alright, but there was a line out the door so I thought it was gonna be great.

Gelupo was definitely worth the hype! They had both traditional and unique seasonal flavors. I tried Ricotta Cherry after seeing all the great reviews and was not disappointed! The gelato wasn't too sweet and the cherry pieces meshed well with the ricotta flavor.

Friendly and engaging staff, Diverse selection of creative flavors, Creamy texture (perhaps a tad soft given the warmer weather), Fair pricing and serving size

One of the best gelatos in London! Do try their ricotta sour cherry flavor - i usually don't like cherry at all but their ricotta flavor was amazing and i was so impressed by it! They also have a sister restaurant across the street and I heard this is one of the best italian institutions in london in general. Will come back to try their mint stracitella!

We came around dinner time and this place had a line to the door the entire time. I had the yogurt mixed berries, yogurt mango, and banana straccialetta. It tasted delicious and all three flavors tasted great together and individually. None of the flavors were overly sweet so it was easy to finish. Waffle pieces were fresh and crispy and a nice bonus. Definitely come here for some quality gelato in London.

Gelupo is a purveyor of artisan gelato. This gelato, which is made in batches, can be described as dense and creamy, yet with lower fat content. Boasting a wide array of flavors, both creamy and fruity, this dessert shop is always bustling and it's no surprise that a queue will form at any point during the day. The staff members were friendly and willingly offered samples. We tried a few eclectic flavors such as ricotta and sour cherry, pineapple and chili, and peanut butter straciatella. The authenticity of the gelato transported us back in time to our study abroad days in Italy. We savored each bite. Gelupo is a gelato lover's paradise in London.

I tried the salted caramel and it was so creamy! Would definitely recommend. As well, the facilities were really cute and the staff nice!

Very good ice cream spot. Nevertheless, I probably had too high expectations and it didn't fully reach them. I would give it maybe 4.5 stars. I had a cup with Bacio and Bonet and while they were both good they didn't wowed me. Prices are quite high given the the central location.

Fans of the Italian institution, Bocca Di Lupo, will be delighted to find that the folks behind it have started up a gelateria and deli opposite their famed restaurant in Soho. What terrible luck Monday to stumble upon the newly-opened Gelupo having already purchased gelato elsewhere. Still, the employees here were friendly and offered me a try of the yoghurt, and my friend of the pistachio (which was touted as their best.) I returned yesterday with two sweet tooths in tow and together we insisted on trying pretty much every flavor. Once again indulged by the counter staff, we swooned over the rice, blond almond (mmm...marzipan!), blood orange, hazelnut, coconut, espresso (milk free); I could go on here but I think you're getting the picture. By decision time I was firm in wanting blood orange granita with a scoop of yoghurt gelato on top. I smiled all the way through Chinatown and onto the tube eating this cool concoction.

I hate you, I hate you, I hate you! The things you make me do! A few weeks ago, Gelupo was at the "Yelp Will Rock You" event, giving away tastes of their "product" like a dealer next to a schoolyard. I had one small spoon of the hazelnut and I was hooked. There would be no stopping me from getting another dose the next time I was in Soho. And when I couldn't deny the cravings any longer (and I was in the area), I slunk my way into Gelupo. I made my way to the counter. "Hazelnut, please" I begged. And yes, it was the same girl scooping today who scooped me at the O2. I took my £3 sweetness to the back, to a table where I could enjoy it quietly in peace. You wouldn't want to spoil something like this with outside. It was just as #&$# good, maybe even better, than the last time. Somewhere inside me, the little voice of reason went quiet. There would be no denying this again. And maybe I would have to introduce my friends to Gelupo... Interesting stuff for sale other than just ice treats. Italian cooking stuff like pastas and flour and liqueurs and even some higher end spirits. And hey, free wi-fi and a power outlet! How do I unlock the sixth star?

It was well worth hiking one of the few hills in London for this. The lines moved quick and was served promptly. First order your sizes then pick your flavors. They offered more than 20 freshly made flavors, making it difficult to choose. I ordered the Hazelnut and Chocoviar 75%, while my friend chose the Lemon and Hazelnut. Both were delicious, rich, smooth, and flavorful without being overly sweet. The only downside was the portion size, which felt a bit small for the price. What made the experience even better was enjoying our gelato afterward at Covent Garden. We found a spot to sit outside and watched a hilarious street performer from Canada entertain a huge crowd. He even noticed me taking a photo and playfully posed for the camera, which made the moment even more memorable. We absolutely loved the atmosphere around Covent Garden. There are so many great restaurants and shops, and the lively outdoor setting, combined with talented street performers, made it the perfect way to end our evening. :)

Firstly there are different options for a base- a cookie, brownie, doughnut or baklava. Then you choose your ice cream and toppings. I decided to go for the brownie topped with lotus biscuits and flake, and chocolate ice cream. It was really tasty and enjoyable. The portion isn't massive but is a decent enough size. I didn't think it was necessarily worth £7.30 though, which after adding the toppings is the price mine came to. So I do not think it is value for money, but maybe more attractive as a place to grab something and post it all over Instagram! They have got it right, with pink walls, cool seating and novelty mirrors on the walls. I did enjoy the brownie but now I wish I had tried the baklava as it would have been good to try something different that you can't necessarily get everywhere with these toppings. So now I kind of want to return just to try that! Whereas otherwise I probably wouldn't feel a need to return now that I've tried it. I wouldn't say the place was set up for an influx of customers either, considering how much it has been posted/advertised everywhere on social media. There was just one member of staff there when I went (Sunday afternoon) and so she took the orders and payment and then went and prepared the ice cream, so had there been a queue there might have been quite a wait. Like I said, I might go back to try the baklava if in the area, but this is likely somewhere that people visit for a media post and then don't return. The price point is too high in my opinion for regular customers.

The first was supposed to be for a quick…read moresnack/treat before getting dinner later that night, but when I saw that there was more than just vegan, allergy-free ice cream, and that I could also get gluten-free vegan waffles as well? Oops, I ended up having dessert for dinner. My second visit was after enjoying the first visit so much and wanting to try their crepes, but they ended up being out of crepes that second time. I love the concept of everything there being free of the top 14 allergens, therefore being vegan, gluten-free, soy-free, nut-free, dairy-free, egg-free, etc. It is rare being able to eat somewhere without the worry of cross-contamination. (They also don't allow patrons to bring food from outside to eat there, to prevent cross-contamination even in the dining area, which is extra security for anyone who is severely allergic to anything.) The ice cream was pretty good for being vegan (I've had so much worse), and the waffles weren't anything special. You get three mini ones. For the combo plate, you can opt for two scoops of any flavor of ice cream, three mini waffles, and a choice of topping or syrup on top of it all. Next time if I get the combo plate, I might choose something other than syrup on top ... it was a little TOO sweet for me. Still yummy nonetheless. My second visit, as I said, was in hopes of trying their crepes, but they were out. So, I got just a scoop of ice cream. I tasted a couple of the other flavors, but I loved the cookies & cream one so much last time that I got a scoop of that again, and got a gluten-free version of an Oreo cookie on top. Next time I'm back in London, I'll be back here, for sure.
