I had already looked up the prices for the springs which were around $85 a piece. So to try and charge $200 for one spring was ridiculous. I then called Overhead Door Company just to compare. It was a similar service charge, but the person explained that the service charge was the labor cost and the only other charge would be for the springs which were $120 a piece. I appreciate that there will be a mark up on parts to cover costs and I also appreciated the way she explained it to me. She set up an appointment for the next day. The man called and came out as promised, replaced the springs in about 30 minutes. It actually was a very easy process and I needed that today!! I did consider replacing the springs myself, but looking back, it was well worth the service charge and the little mark up on the parts to have it done professionally. I was very pleased, so I scheduled them do the same replacement on my mothers garage (same exact measurements). August 17th - Bottom Seal replacement cost $278.11. I called four different times inquiring about the price. On my third call he told me "the job was different". I reassured him that it was the same exact job: I have photos (same materials used, same measurements, the same work was completed). He told me he would get back to me. September 2nd - I finally get a call back after calling them earlier in the day (and the previous day). They'll give me a $32.50 discount on labor and the service technician on July 25th didn't charge me correctly. Be careful with this company. Their mistake is costing me an additional $95.78.
