got turned away immediately when I get to the store. said they aren't buying cards but doing trades. employee had a slight attitude. was bringing in 2 PSA 10 1st edition. pikachus (shadowless) also dark charizard and dark mewtwo PSA 10. told me they were only doing trades and not buying but then asked to see my cards. I told them I was coming to sell. maybe other peoples experiences are cool. mine wasn't and I won't be back. avid pokemon collector here. read more

So my son and I came into this card shop to check it out. They have lots of graded sports card for sale. All prices range from few dollars to $500 range. There was some valuable Pokémon cards there too. Place looks like it fairly new cause the walls didn't have any pictures or display up yet. I didn't see any card that was in packs for sale yet. They do have card protection cases for sale there. To protect those valuable cards. I didn't get to ask if they offer any grading service. But next time I come back I will. Not sure if they buy cards there. Didn't ask this time. Mainly cause I don't plan on selling anything yet lol. But the staff was friendly. read more

Wonderful place, worth the travel and friendly staff. The place is a Pokemon and sport card collector paradise. The layout of the store and combination of both retail and unique cards is impressive. This is a place for sure to find the retail purchases a card collector wants but also really crazy finds for stuff you can't normally find. We actually were helped by one of the owners, Tommy, and he took time to speak with us and look at what we had brought to trade. Not another place I have found that is so specialized and along with the cool staff, we will be sure to visit this store going forward and highly recommend checking them out. read more

I honestly went in to this shop with super high expectations after hearing great things about them only to be let down. Upon walking in to the shop there are many sport and Pokémon cards to view. After viewing a few there were many that I would consider not gem mint and the prices were priced higher than what the card condition warranted. The guy working didn't speak to us either and was on his phone the entire time as if he was uninterested we were there. When I go to a card shop I go for the experience and to build a relationship within the card collecting community, that's not what we received here. Maybe there was an underlying issue going on but I unfortunately won't be back as I plan to visit other shops within the community that have competitive pricing and overall better customer service! read more

Low ballers and cheap cheap stingy owners and employees, I brought in a $1500-2000 for a 10/10 grade Kobe Bryant vintage card with stupid cool graphics, and Kobe had a Afro, Adidas's, and wearing the #8 so if you know anything about basketball cards that was a young Kobe in the beginning of his long prime and after his death his memorabilia has gone thru the roof. It was obviously in a 8-9 out of 10 grading and they just go off the "last sold" prices which isn't accurate to give a offer...and they are a card store so they get there stuff graded for free but he acted like he would actually have to spend 150-200 dollars to get it graded and offered me $270 when they could easily have me 500-750 and STILL turned a easy $500-600 profit. These people are con artist and take advantage of kids that don't know the business or what they have. Very slimy grimy vibe in that store and everything Is way over priced and have no idea why when there location is in a shopping strip on highway 6 and W airport close to Alief lol they act like they are paying $4,500 for rent on a store front in Midtown, Montrose, River Oaks, Uptown Galleria, or the Heights area lol smh read more

They'll help you with anything you need, but if they don't have what you're looking for they're knowledgeable enough to point you in a great direction for the next step. Got to check this place out today and was impressed. Houston needs more local card shops and we finally got one in Gem Mint Cardhouse, whose modern atmosphere and a large space with tables allowing for live rips fits well with today's hobby scene. They do buy/sell/trade along with grading submission services. Glad this is so close to my house! read more
