Can't recommend this place high enough. Friendly staff and always has what you need (and more).

Not to be confused with Naan Games, which is an Indian thing. This is a wonderful geek store and game store which is a little bit expensive, but doing a great job keeping this kind of business alive, because there are not a lot of these around anymore. So we're definitely big fans and we're very appreciative that it is here.

My favorite comic, games and miniatures shop in Houston.

Nice selection, lots of new stuff and old miniatures from my childhood. It was like stepping back in time.

This store is great, but my daughter was looking for Manga merch and this store does not have much selection of that. Lost of marvel merch, comics, books, games, etc. The store is pretty big and has a lot of unique items.

Not a place you should bother patronizing. They don't appreciate their customers.

Not sure if they sell comics or DUST! Probably the dirtiest comic book store I have ever been to in my 34+ years of reading/collecting comics. The employees are rude and seem annoyed if you try and talk to them or ask a question. There is no method to the madness here, just dishevelled mayhem and disorganization everywhere. Good luck trying to find anything, and if you do, expect to pay more than you would at almost any other comic book or game store, their prices are as awful as their service and atmosphere. To make it worse, they do not participate in Free Comic Book Day (the coolest day of the year for comic book stores and fans alike), and openly boast about not needing it because they are "so great and the oldest store in town". You're better off going pretty much anywhere else in town. Try The Pop Culture Company and 8th Dimension first, and if you're inside the loop, both Bedrock City and Third Planet are better choices than Nan's. They can brag about how they're the "oldest store in town", but they'll never be able to lay claim to the title of best, friendliest, cleanest, cheapest or any other positive trait you can think of. Just a horrible store.

This doesnt scream suspicious next to an adult store.I think car there to distract you from seeing that bussines next to it.

Like many of the modern comic book stores, Bedrock City Comic want to make everyone who walks through their door as welcoming as possible. They have specific sections for kids and shelves that's just local Houstonian artists created works or books for new comers to start from. This store is definitely well organized and there's plenty of things to browse for. Sometimes there will be special artists event such as Gene Luen Yang stopping by for a meet and greet and signing. They certainly stock up as much of the creator's works as possible for people to buy and get it signed the same evening. This store also have a good selection for the hardcore collectors when it comes to buying Golden Age comics, statues, and special limited edition collectibles that you don't really need it but you want it just because. When I am around on this side of the town, I will always try to make time and stop by here just to take a look, who knows what I will find that trip.

The Funko pops had a good selection but all priced at 17 dollars some of them are worth that but not every one of them. It's a cute store just not something I'll come back too . Let's go to Popgun I call Shotgun…read moreYou think that you're an active shooter Really? And with what gun? Last night I got into your place and I got gun Went to the river and right into it I dropped gun So go see if it's in its hiding place, you'll find there's not gun And here's to when the only guns in USA are Popguns. One of the best collectibles stores we've ever been to. But let's talk about guns in general. If we want, we should fill our lives with as many fake guns, play guns, toy guns, anime guns, and fun guns as we need, as we want, as we can handle. And all the crappy Van Damme action movies we can get, shooting ranges too if you want, AirSoft, LaserQuest, Paintball, you name it. All of it. Bring it on. What we shouldn't do is have actual guns, at all, anywhere. I come from a place where there aren't any actual guns, basically, and nobody gets shot. Shootings just aren't a thing. Sure we stab each other, we're a violent bunch. Fist fights, yep. Broken bottles in the face, ew. Welcome to the UK. Bunch of hooligans. But what we don't do, is shoot each other. Guaranteed, if there was an abundance of guns legally for sale, we all would. No doubt. It's not an American thing. It's a gun thing. Get rid of the guns, wait a decade or so, you'll notice an eerie lack of shootings in the US. Already happened in Australia. It's blatantly obvious, not sure why it would even be a debate. Hard to debate in this country because people are just... so... d.... do me a favour and let's talk about the store now. Couldn't believe it when this place opened up in a lovely neighbourhood not far from where we live. Right off 59. It's so great for kids and collectors and those who are into this stuff. They have normal business hours but they're often working late and at all kinds of hours, because the place is a real labour of love. Easily one of the best collectibles stores I've ever seen. Really adds to the heart and soul of Montrose and West U and Upper Kirby. If you're into this kind of thing you really have to check it out. And if you need something popped, whatever that may be, I have a gun you can use. It's experienced, it's popped many things before. It used to treat them like collectibles, like notches on bedposts and such, but not anymore. I can't even remember how many pops anymore, but what I can say is, once you pop, you can't stop.

It smells like hell in there (sweaty and musty) and it's literally just a bunch of funko pops.read more

From the outside, it's a little more polished--not exactly the scrappy dive bar exterior we grew up with--but don't let that fool you. Step inside, and it's like nothing ever changed (in the best possible way). The vibe is still unapologetically nerdy and nostalgic: old video games, comic books everywhere, tournament setups, and three custom arcade cabinets that are worth the trip alone. No pingpong room though... Even the bathrooms are keeping the tradition alive--patrons have already started tagging them up, just like the OG location. It's that kind of beautiful chaos that makes Neil's special. The crowd? Same eclectic, welcoming, slightly-chaotic energy.
