Tasty Italian food and good portion size. The million dollar brussel sprouts is a must try!

Italian sausage rigatoni was amazing! A sweet tasting sauce with perfectly prepared pasta. The tomato basil soup was a great way to start the meal. However, the creamy garlic sauce on my wife's ravioli was the star of the show. I'd eat that sauce on a piece of cardboard if necessary. This is a great little restaurant and you are missing out if you do not give it a try!

    Fried Mozza. YUM-O!

Absolutely outstanding is the best way I can describe this place. CALL AHEAD AND MAKE A RESERVATION!! We've been coming to Hancock for several years and have made an attempt to eat here several times with no luck. After eating here now I know why they accept and encourage reservations. The Million Dollar Brussels were sliced very thin and grilled, served with mint, honey, lemon zest, Fuji apple slices, crushed almonds and drizzled with balsamic reduction. There were so many flavors and it was perfect. It was so great I can't wait to have it again. The Fried Mozza is a favorite amongst our entire table, especially our daughter. They take fresh sliced mozzarella, lightly batter and fry it and serve it with homemade marinara sauce. Salad choices are great, garden, Caesar and one other I forgot. All of their dressings are made in house (killer ranch if you're curious). Tomato Basil soup is always a soup option and it's not what I had expected but its great. It's not a thick creamy soup, it's thinner and sort of transparent. I really loved it. We also tried a Margarita Pizza which was tasty. It was also not what we had expected but it was very good. My entree was Chicken Parmasen and I was very impressed. The chicken was cooked perfectly, came with Alfredo, brussels and bacon and a warm roll. Yum! The Italian Sausage Rigatoni is another wonderful choice. Pasta was cooked al dente, the sauce was fantastic and sausage was very good. A very well prepared and filling meal. The Chicken Marsala was another hit at our table. If you ever have to wait to get in, DO IT! You will not be disappointed. I'm going to attempt to make a reservation here every time we are staying in or passing through Hancock each year. Delicious!!!

A cozy spot that seems to be well known by the locals. I had the Garlic/Shrimp Linguini which was very good and my husband had the Italian Sausage and Rigatoni which was also quite tasty. A little pricey, but we would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for more of upscale Italian cuisine. Make sure you make a reservation as seating is pretty limited to maybe a total of 60 people. We waited for a table without knowing about making a reservation, but it was well worth the wait! Just an additional note- the Tomato Basil Soup they serve is outstanding!

A very popular restaurant. Had to give it a try. About 20 mins before any one acknowledged us. Nice cosy decor. The bruschetta was supremely soggy. Caesar salad good. Both the entrees did not have that special "zing" to the sauces that even Olive Garden has. So feel food overrated. Once seated the waiters were very attentive and delightful.

Best home made pasta in town. It's small and personal. They make the best baked eggplant parmesan.

So-so Italian, typical yooper bland. Small portions, big city prices. Not going back!

Continuing our eight day stay in Houghton in our motorhome. While at the Keweenaw Brewing Company…read more(KBC) we always strike up conversations with some locals. Ambassador has been recommended several times. We decided to try it and were craving pizza. We ordered the 12" Greek pizza (medium). I asked our server, Katelyn, if tomato sauce could be added to the pizza. Since it is a specialty pizza, Katelyn said it could not be added, but...she could bring a cup of the sauce along with the pizza. Worked out great! BTW, Katelyn was a great server and very pleasant. Oh, we were able to add pepperoni to half of the pizza. The additional cost of the pepperoni and the sauce was shockingly reasonable. The pepperoni was $1.00 and cup of sauce was $1.99. The pizza came right out of the oven and was delicious. We ordered a half carafe of the Apothic wine, which is a house wine. If you enjoy a decent wine, I suggest spending the extra 7 bucks and upgrading the wine...this is not a complaint, we like good wine. Ambassador has an old-school vibe and is very comfortable. It was very busy, but we had plenty of room at our table and the surrounding tables are not uncomfortably close. I highly recommend Ambassador!!

So was the Meatball Appetizer. The rest... pretty average unfortunately. My Ruben was only okay and the garlic bread was also very average. The blue cheese dressing on the house salad was not good at all. I'd come back to have another sandwich, just for the bread! The pizza also looked pretty good.

Unfortunately, the roads were blocked off and closed. So we could not go to a number of restaurants reccomended to us. There were a few options open until 10, Nutini being one of them. We walked in and sat down at a table. There wrre a bunch of people near the bar having a great time. The music was faced towards us, so it was pretty loud in that spot. The waitress came over and stated that it was very loud. She asked if we wanted to move to a different area and walked us over to a seat. We got seated and she ran to get the drinks. The table was slanted, but the area was completely empty and quiet. When I asked her about items on the menu, she did not seem to know any information. I asked for caesar dressing, she told me she didn't think they had that, even though caesar salad was listed on the menu. She had to run back and ask about a few things, which was fine. My husband ordered the chimichanga and regretted it. It came out loaded with practically a whole salad covering it. Tons of lettuce and tomatoes on top. I had a salad that was loaded with dressing. I tried my best to eat it, and it was very salty. We only had a lunchable at 12pm so we were starving. My alfredo came put with some of it practically spilling out on the sides. I took one bite and it was loaded with garlic. It was so powerful, that it was hurting the back of my throat. I let the waitress know that I have a mild allergy when a lot of garlic is used. Usually, if there is a tiny minced amount it doesn't bother me. This pasta, was loaded with a lot of garlic and salt. I nicely asked told her that I could not eat it because of this. While we were waiting, they also forgot to bring out the beans and rice, and the bread with butter. We had to mention it and they said "I'm not sure if that comes with it." This is the worst part... in the photos there is a picture of a yellow hallway. Suddenly an old man walks around the corner and is loudly making fun of me. There was no one else in that room and no music. He looked at me as well. He said "ofcourse there is a lot of garlic its alfredo is she stupid or something, thats hilarious." I suddenly felt uneasy, and I tried to just ignore it. In the photo you can also see a small window area where food is picked up. Our waitress, who we haven't seen, only when I called her over, was standing there talking about us. We could hear the entire conversation because she was loudly telling them. She was saying "oh my gosh you didnt hear the whole ordeal, basically this chick orders the alfredo and didnt realize we put a lot of garlic when its alfredo" and they continued to just laugh at me and talk about it. Another waitress, the one that brought the food out in the first place, came to bring the bread. My husband asked for the bill and told her we no longer wanted to stay. This experience was so awful that I started crying. It ruined out anniversary dinner. I felt so embarrassed. She was nice enough to ask us what happened. She was trying to figure out what went wrong. We only saw our waitress when she moved us, and came to give drinks and take the order. While she was trying to talk to us, our waitress walked up to her. She started saying how she only charged us for the salad. The waitress trying to talk to her, kindly told her to walk away as it was making the situation worse. We asked for the bill, and she told us that it was covered and she did apologize. Even with the apology, it was such a horrible and awful experience that really dampered the evening. I was a crying mess, and we stopped at taco bell to eat.
