I was catfished at my appointment when the doctor who walked in looked (decades) older than the doctor pictured on the website. I came for an acute problem and I felt like the doctor didn't listen to me. He "educated" me by pointing at pictures in a laminated book. He must really like to educate because he went through the book with me on each of my visits. He kept recommending NSAIDs without seeming to want to get to the root of my problem. He was over 30 minutes late to my appointment (I've waited longer for other providers), but it was the way in which he handled the appointment that rubbed me the wrong way; he made my time feel rushed and blamed his need to rush on the fact that his front desk doesn't like when he runs behind. He seemed flustered moving between exam rooms to see patients, saying that he'd be back to answer questions, but never returning to the exam room. There was also a billing issue that took several months to resolve. This issue would not have occurred if they verified my insurance, like I advised. The billing issue was resolved after diligent follow up, otherwise I'm not sure if I would have been refunded. Needless to say, the time spent at his office was a complete waste and my issue was not addressed to my satisfaction. I have since gone elsewhere for a second opinion and am doing so much better and way more satisfied with the level of care and attentiveness.

The receptionist then called me twice at every hour after I left the office to check my info again and to verify my pharmacist again. The doctor never called over my prescription over to the pharmacist so I'm not going to remind her to do her job. Should have been a red flag when I was able to get an appointment quickly.

On 2 different occasions, my husband and myself were able to get in quickly as he was more concerned over our needs than his convenience. One time was on a national holiday and the other was on a Saturday. We were so grateful for his kindness and concern. We hope he keeps on practicing as it would be hard to find any other podiatrist as good and caring as he is. We can honestly highly recommend him to anyone that needs a good podiatrist.

The doctor was thorough and they took several X-rays and in both feet as long as a good physical exam. They did find a fracture that the hospital ( Presbyterian ) missed and now looking at the soft tissue. My only complaint is that the ER place they are sending me to hasn't gotten back to me to set an appointment up and it's been three business days , or 5 days total. Call to check on it And haven't heard anything back. I may have to make my own MRI appointment. Other than that , I would go back. They were polite, patient and professional.

Now he has his own business in Dallas. All his patients from Fort Worth continue to make that 45 minute drive to his location in Dallas. His entire staff are extremely friendly professional andake you welcoming Vivian is Dr. Legel's wife anf office manager. Yesica is Dr. Legel's MA and has always taken care of me since she started. Destiny takes care of all insurance claims of which is not easy but always has a smile. The first person you see when you walk in is Dzana the receptionist and scheduler for follow up appointment. She is always with a smile and welcomes you as you walk in the door. Dr. Legel has added another DPM and MA. Dr. Legel's surgery is Tuedays. To avoid not having a doctor on staff, Dr. Legel has addrd Dr. Genise Kennedy DPM along with her MA, Gigi. I've had the opportunity to have the newbies check both of my feet post surgery. This last surgery I had a month ago were severe spurs on both feet from the digits after amputations. The spurs were pointing downward and puncturing my pads underneath. Due to neuropathy from hips to feet, I couldn't feel them until I spotted blood on my floors. Dr. Legel went in and filed away to the point that the post op x-rays looked as smooth as a baby's bottom. When trying to understand the ongoing swelling in my leg, I attempted three separate times to schedule an appointment with the doctor. Each time, I was seen by a PA instead, without that being clearly communicated in advance. I was told it wasn't a significant concern and didn't need to be addressed. After seeking a second opinion from another vein specialist, I learned that the issue does, in fact, require further treatment and that the original treatment plan was not effective.
