I called yesterday regarding the AccuQuilt Cutting Systems to make sure they were a dealer and had demo models prior to driving from Knoxville. I was pleased to find out they did. When I arrived, I was greeted even though they were busy with other customers. When the customers had been helped the shop owner, Amy then spent well over an hour with me, educating me and letting me try the different machines. She was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions, making appropriate and helpful suggestions on the dies I would need based to the type of quilting I do. She was able to put together a custom package at a great price (even better than Amazon). I left pleased and feeling like I not only made an appropriate purchase but also a new friend. I will definitely be returning.

The foundation paper piecing was an amazing find. The shop was clean and well organized. Fabric selection was good and was very reasonable in price. I did ask for a few yards of fabric to be cut along with my other selections, the clerk was a bit abrasive at first and I was as thinking to myself "oh it figures typical quilt shop employee not taking a younger quilter seriously ". However, I pushed a little and made her stir up some conversation that was a little better but she still could have been a little more pleasant. Overall a nice place but I'm not sure I would drive out of my way to go there again.

Have recommended this store to friends and family, but after meeting the owner today never again. She was the rudest most ENTITLED person I have ever met. I asked for Rusty and she refused to sell me the items I had picked out and let me know that SHE WAS THE OWNER! She also said I hurt her feelings for asking for him. He is who I dealt with for years, why wouldn't I ask for him. I apologized over and over again to her and she still wouldn't sell me my items. Our GPS got us there - there were also signs pointing to where to go! I'm not quite sure where to start as we had an AMAZING experience at Firefly! There is no set class times or anything - it's just come as you can/when you can. The studio was smaller than I had expected, but that's ok. It was perfect! There were 4 other people inside when we got there and we had enough spaces without us being on top of each other. Originally, we were going to do just 1 piece each. But we all had so much fun and it went much quicker than we had thought, that we ended up doing 2 pieces each! The options were a 5x5 tray ($40), a 3x3 ring tray ($22), a funny face magnet ($18), a hangy thing (a sun catcher type thing - $20), or a pendant ($20). The prices include the shipping. Nancy, the owner, fires everything up in her kiln to put it together and then sends it to you. I cannot wait to get our pieces back in the mail. We picked our pieces and started working on them. When you figure out what you want, you use a bit of Elmer's glue to lightly glue it in place. It was so fun trying to decide what to do and to let the creative juices flow! I HIGHLY recommend visiting Firefly Glads Studio when you're in the Gatlinburg area. Nancy, the owner, was amazing to work with and super sweet!

There is a sitting area, children's area and even a four foot section for featured books. The bookshelves are sturdy filled with colorful literature waiting to be devoured. The owner is so friendly and waiting to help. Books not seen are easily ordered and quick to be received. This is a place you can hang and melt your anxiousness away. We will definitely say we have a worthy bookstore in town!
