THIS IS NOT a LICENSED Thomas Kinkade gallery. I found out from a local that Their license was…read morepulled over two years ago by the Kinkade family due to selling "similar" artist side-by-side with Kinkade. They are falsely advertising that they are selling his paintings for 70% off but when you ask about them they let you know that they only have one "copy" left and two Disney ones on consignment. They're baiting you to come in using the Kinkade name. The salesman does admit that they haven't been a Kinkade gallery in over two years and I asked him why they have not updated yelp and other apps and he said something about that it's a big company and they haven't gotten around to it. The real Kinkade gallery is located in Pigeon Forge only 10 minutes away. Definitely go there because it's absolutely beautiful and they also have Zach Kinkade, his nephew, now doing paintings.

I love art galleries and I am especially fond of the work of Thomas Kinkade! This gallery was…read morewonderfully located in "At The Village" in downtown Gatlinburg, a location that looks like it could have come right out of a Thomas Kinkade painting. The gallery has many smaller rooms once you walk in that can accommodate a large selection of art work. They carry mostly Thomas Kinkade work, but also have smaller collections of local and not so local artist. When you first walk in the gallery has a large selection of all the artwork wraps and prints. Once you venture past the main entrance there are smaller rooms with room to enjoy each piece of art on the walls. They have also installed the lighting needed to fully appreciate the Thomas Kinkade artwork (you can change the lighting and the lighting in the painting changes as well to make a whole new beautiful scene). If you do not get enough out of the first floor, there is an upstairs as well. The only reason that I cannot give the full 5 stars is that the upstairs felt cramped and hard to maneuver around with other people. There were also several paintings that did not have a spotlight shining on them and made them unnoticable.

They carried such a variety of locally crafted arts, absolutely something for everyone, with prices ranging all over. They have 2 floors of crafts and a room full of history of the building and history of Gatlinburg. Including photos of them moving the entire building in 1996. We bought a painted gourd xmas tree ornament the worker was creating when we were there, Great shop for gifts or locally made souvenirs, with a very friendly staff!

It's a collective of different artists and you can find everything from marbled journals to wooden wine stops, to knitted items, and pottery. I was fortunate enough to get a marbling demo from Pat K. Thomas in the studio upstairs. It was fun to try my hand at it! It's such a cool process. Everyone is very friendly and there are many cool finds as you're browsing around. I love shopping local and supporting artists in the community and this is the perfect place for that. The history behind it is always interesting. They actually physically moved the entire building to their current location. Make sure to get someone working to explain it to you. Pro Tip: Ask for a dishpan cookie. They are delish!
