While the cashiers are always friendly, welcoming, and helpful, Cindy's demeanor comes across as unfriendly and dismissive. On my most recent visit, I inquired about a particular wine. Cindy appeared reluctant to assist and seemed inconvenienced by my request. Although she eventually located the item, her attitude made me feel as though I was bothering her simply by asking for assistance. Customer service is a major factor in where I choose to shop, and a welcoming atmosphere encourages customers to return. Unfortunately, Cindy's attitude has had the opposite effect. The cashiers create a positive experience, but the manager's consistently cold and unapproachable demeanor leaves a negative impression. I would honestly rather drive 10 miles out of my way to shop elsewhere than deal with the unpleasant and unwelcoming attitude I have experienced during my visits.

Today, I came in to purchase a red cab sauv for my friend's birthday. A really nice older lady asked me if I needed any assistance and I explained to her what I was looking for. I know that there are several brands of this, so I assumed someone could point me in the right direction and then I could choose from there. She didn't know, so she asked an older male who appeared to be the manager. He didn't seem to understand her, so he asked me, very rudely, what I was looking for. I replied that it was my friend's birthday and her husband recommended for me to get her a red cab sauv. Disgustingly, he said that they have over 2000 red cabernets and he doesn't understand what I'm looking for. That's when I decided it would be best for me (sadly) to take my business somewhere else. The attitude and tone of voice that I experienced from this male was enough for me to take my business somewhere else. I have had no issues with this business until today and have recommended so many friends, family members, and co-workers to visit this place because they always seem to have what I need. I wish that I could let this blow past me, but for someone to treat me the way that I was treated, especially in front of my child, was enough to push me away. I went to Edgewater Liquors after this incident and the employees there were extremely helpful. They helped me choose a perfect wine for my friend and even wrapped it for free. I really hope that no one has to encounter this type of rude behavior like I did.

The wines you are tasting can be found right behind you from the tasting table. Also next door is Grapes Wine Bar - a stomping ground for us. The same gentleman has served me each time. He will greet you with a smile but that is where the service stops. The bag he offers barely holds a sandwich. Considering wine and beer bottles come in free boxes, don't you think it would benefit you to offer to pack your customers' purchase in one? It's obviously TOO MUCH EFFORT for him to do so. He's actions or lack of supercedes his words! I realize we are required to bring bags everywhere now, but sometimes a little effort would be nice. BTW I was the only customer in the store.
