I highly recommend Generations Ob/Gyn because of the expert care, compassion and quick response time I received this summer. Dr. Acharya was extremely patient, kind and compassionate before, during and after my hysterectomy and prolapsed bladder repair surgery. She explained and/or answered all my questions thoroughly and kindly throughout the entire process. Dr. Acharya responded to my many MyChart messages very quickly, even calling me on a Sunday to check on my progress. She assured me that I could complete some self-care independently when I was very nervous about it. On multiple occasions, Dr. Acharya made time to see me to double check my recovery progress in between my scheduled appointments. On the rare occasion that Dr. Acharya was not available, Dr. Asis also made time to see me, a couple of times, once even after office hours. She too was extremely kind, caring and compassionate about my recovery. All I can say is when Dr.Hutler retires I'm finding a new provider. You would think women would find more comfort with female providers at this OBGYN group but this is not the case. Nice nasty is what a couple of them are. Dr. Hutler is always professional, calm, and addresses your concerns. When I see him, I have a clear understanding of what happens next, etc. New patients look elsewhere before entrusting them to care for you poorly and bill your insurance top dollar. read more

The male Drs are much more kind and understanding. Dr Hutler is my absolute favorite Dr. He is kind, sympathetic, genuine, funny and the Best bedside Manor. He we will not do you wrong, and will listen to to to your concerns. They are a really good practice. read more

The customer service from the receptionists is horrible. The woman from the Wallingford location was not welcoming and actually hung up on me because SHE thought the conversation was over. She didn't give me thorough information on the process of joining and never even said thanks for considering us. Mary from the New Haven location hung up on me because my cell service was bad and never bothered to call back. She did not accommodate my schedule and then had the audacity to tell me to go back to my original OBGYN. She also offered other OBGYN's in the area for me to look in to. The Doctors in this practice need to know that the women answering their phones are not welcoming or accommodating at all for new patients. You lost my business because of your rude receptionists who seem miserable in their job and need to learn customer service. read more

I've been going to Generations for the past few years -- I transferred from County ObGyn when Dr. Aversa changed practices. I've been to a few of their offices (the old New Haven office and Wallingford) and always have a pleasant experience. The staff are friendly, personable, and quick to answer questions. I never have to wait a long time before it's my turn for vitals nor do I have a long wait once I'm shown into the exam room. Dr. Aversa spends time catching up on the events of your life, remembers things you've talked about previously, and takes your questions seriously. She's even called me after hours to answer pressing questions I've had. I highly recommend any woman who needs medical care should speak with Dr. Aversa. She's referred me to other specialists for issues outside of her realm (a new internist, endocrinologist, etc.) and always follows up to make sure things are going well. read more

I've been going to Generations for over 12 years and cannot say enough great things about the practice. Dr. Acharya worked with me for many years to get my endometriosis under control, and though it was a long process, I now have a healthy baby because of it. Throughout my entire pregnancy they worked hard to make sure me and my baby were healthy, and made scheduling the frequent visits I needed a breeze. I saw everyone in the practice throughout the course of my pregnancy and have nothing negative to say about any of them! I can't say enough great things about them! read more

I can't say enough good things about this practice. I just moved to New Haven from out of state and was reluctant to find a new OBGYN. I'm pregnant with my first child and had to move when I was 22 weeks pregnant. The doctors and staff at Generations have been top-notch. They are friendly, full of knowledge and very thorough. If I could give negative stars I would. Absolute worst practice I have ever been to. Impossible to get in touch with. You will be on hold for 15 minutes after taking to a machine, then get transferred to an answering machine. Very impersonal, doctors don't even bother to introduce themselves. Worst service I have ever seen. They are losing patients and will be out of business soon. Wouldn't recommend for my worst enemy. read more
