I very rarely write reviews, but felt compelled with the service, product, and price I received from GenerX. I am on oxygen 24 hours a day and due to age and physical condition a generator was a must. I contacted 5 different companies, I looked at their reviews, what was included, the price, and service costs. Ryne from Generx came out and answered all of my questions and gave me a thorough and complete inspection. What they offered was way ahead of the others by a long way. They told me I should have the unit installed and running in 30-40 days. From the day I signed the contract to the day of installation was only 10 days. Needless to say, I was quite impressed. Keep in mind full home generators are pricey (this one was 26kw, but peace of mind has no price tag. Anyway, just my opinion based on this transaction. read more

Ryan did an excellent job; however, his records showed I was to get a Basic Maintenance. I had to show him my original purchase agreement where it showed that at the time of purchase, I paid for the GenerX Preferred plan. I actually paid for two of them and neither were in my records. This isn't the first time they made an error with my records. Upon installation, they asked me for payment, when I had already paid for my generator in full months prior to the installation. They also had this huge pipe blocking the entrance to my crawl space. A worker for another project pointed this out to me since he needed to get under my house. (Picture attached.) My experience was mixed but more negative than positive. I called "Generac" for a proposal, and they directed me to "Generx" (not affiliated with Generac aside from a clever name association). Salesman was capable but he placed an order for accessories I did not technically need related to load shedding and blocking for my AC and EV chargers. Not only did he not do the math correctly, but he didn't tell me he was adding the additional items and costs. Installers were very capable. Clean install. But they didn't have two surge suppressors to handle my 350amp split feed utility service. Told me to call for a follow-up visit. Fair enough. Reasonable mistake on their part. This is where it goes downhill. 2+ weeks later and several calls and emails, with no progress on two issues: 1) Add another surge suppressor, and 2) Remove unneeded Load Shedders. Salesman, Skyler, never called me back. Installation Dept never called me back. Escalation to a District manager, Anthony Audain, resulted in no call back until I emailed him a 3rd time asking for the owner's email, Mark Costis. Then he called me. He was a bit condescending and tried to "educate" me on some things although I suspect I know way more than him about electricity and motor inrush. In the end he did get me scheduled for surge suppressors but said they will not remove these unnecessary load shedders even though I don't want them and didn't ask for them. I will go ahead and remove or bypass them myself, but terrible customer interaction. Bottom line: I would avoid "Generx Generators Inc". They seem like a capable company but more focused on selling than servicing. I regret being lazy and not just finding a local small electrician certified to install Generac generators. Thats all you need, this is not rocket science. I would have had the same product installed (the important thing) and a better more personal experience and relationship with a local smaller firm. read more

We've had Generac generator a few years. Today was a major service. The service manager reached out to let me know Ryan the technician would be on time and reaching out which he did. On arrival, he did a full service account of every single part of the generator. There are a few things that needed follow up and will be covered under my warranty. So he was supposed to fix the generator, but when he came out the second time the office said he was going to evaluate whether it could be repaired. So we are waiting again. read more

Due to scheduling issues, I was forced to use Generator Supercenter for annual service June 2025. Since Generator Supercenter touched my generator , three red lights and my generator did not run when i lost power recently for 2+ hours. Back to Generx with technician Ryan C. and I'm good to go. I wound up calling another generator repair service who came out and told me the stator was bad and the control panel had nothing to do with the problem. The other company also looked up my generator by serial number as part of their service and told me my generator was still under warranty. They rescheduled to come out and took the whole stator assembly apart and replaced several parts with new ones. And because it was under warranty it didn't cost me a dime. Dave with GenerX is nothing more than a parts changer and obviously doesn't know what he's doing or how to properly diagnose a problem. read more

I have been a loyal customer for many years. However the last annual service appointment resulted in my loss of faith in this company. Based on the following: -I set the appointment for a specific technician; he did not come and a different company "Cantor Power Systems" was sent to the appointment. Who are they? -The service tech was on site for a TOTAL of 7 minutes. When asked where are you going he said I done did all the maintenance work...this is just like a little lawn mower. Did he actually do the work?????? -The schedule called for valve adjustment...could he have completed this work in the 7 minute time frame? -4 days in row I asked for a phone call back form this dealer....NO response. Do they even care? -Past years I paid for an additive IOA...this time it was not even discussed as an option....in the past did I just waste my money! read more

GenerX installed our 21Kw Generac whole-house generator 5 years ago; a turn-key job from permits to propane tanks fill-up. Perfect and efficient job. I needed emergency assistance, a telephone pole was down in the street, and the generator stopped running after 10 minute. I called for emergency sevice and Mitch was on site in 2 hours. He diagnosed a low voltage error code, caused from worn brushes, had the parts on his truck, and got the generator online again.
