He has had his hair cut there multiple times in the same way. My son told the barber what he wanted, just a small fade above his ears and the rest trimmed. And the barber kept saying a six guard and my son didn't understand and told him again what he wanted. My son had a lot of hair. I'm not sure how the barber didn't understand especially since he has cut this same style on my son before. I looked up from my book and the barber had taken the buzzers to the entire back of his hair and his sides! Then he cut this weird length tuft of hair on the top of his head that my son can do NOTHING with. He is devastated. These boys take pride in their hair and to have it butchered so badly is unacceptable. I'm not sure why these barbers are so buzzer happy. These kids don't want buzz cuts!! Barbers need to listen and if they are unsure then ask for a picture. It's your job to do what is asked not try to push something else! At the end my son's hair was flat to his head on the top and not even faded in together with the sides. It's is appalling. I was so confused at the cut. Then the barber had the nerve to tell my son it was 10 more dollars than normal because he gave him a bald fade! We did NOT ask for a bald fade. We booked a haircut. So I paid the price for the haircut which I shouldn't have even done. Yes hair grows back but they had ONE job. We will not be returning.

Okay okay okay.... so I decided I wanted to cut my hair into a fade maybe about 2 weeks ago, I…read morewanted to find a barbershop that was close to me because I knew I would be there every other week. I typed in Black Barber Shop into yelp (don't judge me), and this was one of the first that came up. I skimmed through the photos and narrowed it down to this shop and another one on the list, now it was time to do an in depth search of the barber who had the best skills with the clippers. After careful consideration I chose Black Label. For the next week or so I was glued to their Instagram page and constantly checking their yelp like a true stalker. I knew right away I wanted the guy with all the tattoos to do my cut, I searched and searched and finally someone mentioned his name LONG! What a perfect fit, because it took me a long behind time to find out who I had been obsessed with for the preceding 7 days! Finally I went to the website and booked the next available appointment. So Tuesday came I couldn't wait to get in Longs chair to get my cut! My friend came to get me and we took the very short drive over to the shop where there was surprisingly so much parking even after the storm. We went upstairs and I walked into the shop with the dorkiest look on my face grinning as I asked for Long, he was just finishing up another client and I took my seat. Immediately I noticed how immaculately clean the shop was and how quiet and respectful the other barbers were. Long came over introduced himself, shook my hand and we headed to his chair. I showed him a few pictures and he listened to every intricate detail I mentioned to achieve my desired cut! During the cut I got to know so much about him because I was giving him an impromptu interview since I had been stalking his whole life for the past week. After he was finished it was time for the reveal... if you've ever gotten a major haircut before you know the feeling of the final chair spin before you see the mirror and OMG OMG OMG I freaking LOVE MY HAIRCUT!!! Roger had strict protocols in place due the Covid pandamic. Despite that he did a great job cutting my hair and did it quickly. He offered terrific value given the quality of the cut. The shop itself is kinda fun with throwback art on the walls including a couple of homages to your favorite monsters like Frankenstein.
