ONE STAR so I can even post a review on here to warn all the others who are thinking of ordering flowers from this so called business. My birthday was yesterday, and my husband ordered a bouquet with balloons, chocolates, and a stuffed animal. This was supposed to be delivered yesterday afternoon, but apparently the delivery guys truck "broke down" and that the delivery would not happen today, but they can deliver to our old address located in Germantown. What??? How are you able to deliver to a location in Germantown, but not Frederick. At this point you are just telling me you don't feel like driving up to Frederick to deliver something we PAID $$$$ for. So the guy offers my husband a delivery for TODAY and he would throw in some free flowers as an inconvenience. My husband being my husband, agrees and let it go. Fast forward to today, it's 4:18 PM and normally all flower deliveries, edible arrangements, etc are delivered by 5 pm. Received nothing. Told my husband we still didn't receive anything and at this point to get a refund. The owner or whoever is the person in charge of communications for this place tells my husband they forgot about the delivery. Wtf??? And if my husband didn't text to try to reach out to him he would have never responded!!! I then asked my husband what place he ordered from and looked him up on Yelp and I find a review EXACTLY like mine where his car "broke" down and flowers were never delivered as promised but paid for already and he refuses to give a refund. The flowers were even prettier in real life than on the website! The delivery guy texted me when the flowers were delivered and everything was timely. Really beautiful arrangement! My dad ordered my daughter and I both flower arrangements with a teddy bear and balloon for her. The flower arrangements were some of the prettiest I've ever seen. They were very well put together. They even texted me after they dropped them off letting me know they were delivered with a picture of it. It was Valentine's Day so I'm sure it was a super busy day for them but ours were dropped off by 10:30! I would highly recommend this florist to anyone in the area read more

Ordered flowers online on 8/3 for delivery on 8/8. Received an email on 8/5 stating "your flowers were hand-delivered on 8/8" - so that's weird. Called the recipient to see if by chance they received flowers on 8/5 - they did not. 8/8 came and went and no flowers were delivered. Called on 8/9 - spoke to the owner (who was not prepared and said they "weren't really open" - even though the posted store hours said they should have been open), He said he would get the delivery out right away and upsize it for the inconvenience. 8/9 came and went and no delivery. Called the afternoon of 8/10 and the same man answered - turns out he is the owner and told me he is answering the phone for the store but is actually currently out of the country? Ok, also weird. The connection was terrible, he could not hear me and kept cutting me off. I told him we still had not received the delivery - he then said "what would you like us to do" -- instead of offering me a solution. I told him at this point I wanted the flowers delivered and a full refund....he didn't seem happy about that. He said he was calling his wife who is the flower designer and is not out of the country to get the delivery out to me. I asked him to please have her call me and he said she would not speak to me. I told him this was terrible customer service - he got snarky with me and I said I never leave negative reviews but that I would be for this. He the said "if all you are calling me to say is that you are going to leave a bad google review, then go ahead". Ok - I rest my case on the customer service. I told him I gave him a change to fix the wring when I called on Monday - they had now failed me twice. I still don't now if they are sending flowers and it sure sounds like he wasn't planning to give me a refund. On 8/28/19, my wife's order arrived 5 hours later than specifically requested and completely missed the intended recipient. When my wife tried to call Genes Frederick Florist, they hung up on her multiple times. When the floral arrangement did arrive, 5 hours late, it was missing the balloon that we paid for. They will also harass you when you complain about the service...to the point where you have to threaten legal proceedings against them to get them to stop. Finally, they DO NOT have a shop at 8709 Fingerboard Rd Frederick, MD 21704...that is just a fraudulent posting on their website. Just use 1800 Flowers...they know how to treat customers! read more
