Yep Yep With Chips And Salsa
    Steve A.

Crazy this small town of Geneseo has two breweries. Geneseo Brewing is the second one of these we visited on a stop. It's located in downtown, or what can be considered that. A smaller one but it's not cramped. The beers are the main thing, but there's also light fare like chips, flatbreads, and more. Beers are what they're known for. It's a pretty good selection for the space they have. To be honest, the place is bigger than it looks. A lot of classic styles to choose from. It's about $7 a pint. That's not bad for a small craft brewery though. Got a few. The best was the Yep Yep. It's an American IPA. Pretty strong at 7.5% ABV, so drink responsibly. As for the food, it's pub fare. It's about $6 for Chips And Salsa. Good eats. There's also flatbreads with cheese and meats if looking for something more filling. Everyone comes for the beers. It has an amazing amount to choose from. The food isn't as special but it's not bad though so whatever.

    my friend singin

a friend said to meet up with him here as he was playing that night I don't really like bars they are too loud but I sat down he was singing in the air tonight which was awesome. I went over to the booth sat down ordered a water and bacon cheeseburger with pickles was really good the fries were dry but I think their supposed to be to get you to buy more drinks but yeah great place got to see my friend

    Peanut Butter Porter-Freaking awesome!!

If you want good food that's not the typical bar food fair, then GBC is the place to go. Everything tastes fresh and you can tell they use top quality ingredients. The service is great here. Sometimes they have live music playing. They have an excellent selection of brews. Some are in-house and some come from other local breweries.

I have heard great things about this brewery so we decided to check it out. We got to the brewery as soon as they opened. Pretty cool in side and plenty of room to seat. You can see the equipment from inside the seating area. The food was excellent and I got a flight of different beers that were fantastic. Our waitress was extremely nice. We would gladly go back again. The squirrels nuts peanut butter porter are amazing and the other beer yep-yep are extremely good and highly recommended

Starting with the food, the food is delicious, and I would definitely recommend the White Cheddar Mac 'n' Cheese! Service is wonderful if you would like to have time to chat. Waiters and Waitresses are always nice! Great Local Brewery!

We haven't been here in over a 1 year and a half and decided to stop by again. We came for the wings that they used to serve from next door (this was before they had a full kitchen menu), only to found out they dont serve them anymore. They were delicious! Anyway our waitress was amazing and she gave us time and wasn't too invasive. My fiance ordered the Hawaiian sliders with salt and vinegar chips and I ordered the spicy mango pulled pork sandwich with "homemade fries." Our food arrived under 15 minutes, if that. When I got my plate I was disappointed to find their "homemade fries" were skilled chopped red potatoes, they were not pleasant. Stay away from the potatoes. They spicy mango pulled pork sandwich was not spicy but it was very tasty nonetheless. Other than that we had a good time and enjoyed the service.

A relaxing evening at Geneseo brewing company. The Geneseo Ale goes down easy and the live music on Saturdays is great.

It certainly is a welcome change from the corporate swill. Also just a nice place to hang. The prices are pretty good for being small and local. A long trip to out here deserves a cold one and this is where to go. It's one of the few places in town that isn't some dive bar or fast food chain it seems. They actually have a pretty good variety. Kind of unexpected with it being a small one. There's actually a good amount including some fruity sours. It's about $7 a pint. We had a few with the best of these being the More Than A Weekend. It's a summer melon lager. They also make cocktails if that's a preference. For sure it's the best place in town for beers. It's located in downtown in a historic building that's cool to check out. There's no food but you can bring in stuff.

From Pale Ales,Stouts,Rye IPA,Wheat and Fruit beers,Coal Creek offers something for everyone. They offer flights as well as a full bar serving crafted cocktails. They didn't have any ciders but they did have a few seltzers for the non beer drinker. I tried a flight of 4 5 oz pours. Each tasting was 3.00. I really liked their Homestead Lager . 4.8 ABV. They do not serve food. They now offer cans and growlers to go. You can sit by the open windows in the front of the tap room ,at the bar or at one of the hi tops. There is a gaming area in the back of the taproom as well. Plenty of street parking available. Nice place to relax and enjoy a locally sourced beer in Princeton.

Heavy metal vibes and ice cold beers…read more Needing a break from the afternoon shenanigans, we walked over to Stompbox Brewing after checking out the Skybridge for a quick drink. We didn't exactly plan to visit it this early into the day but since it was right there, we figured it was the perfect time to check it out so we didn't have to backtrack. Upon walking in, I knew I was in my place. I am a big fan of hard rock and heavy metal and this place oozed with tributes and references to many metal bands and songs. But, it doesn't beat you over the head with it too much and has a restaurant/bar vibe going as well. Emily and I took a table and ordered some drinks while we took this place in. We didn't have late lunch plans but knew we wanted to keep exploring before eating and settling in for the day, so we stuck with just beer here. The food menu did look pretty good and the hot pretzel bites did sound like the perfect accompaniment to our beer but maybe next time. I grabbed the Hefe Metal and Emily got a flight of beers. Her choices were: Devils Made Me Brew It, Flood Insurance, When the Levee Breaks, and Peach Fuzz. I really enjoyed my Hefe Metal and grabbed a can of it to go. Emily really liked the When the Levee Breaks but, in general, liked all her beers but the Devils. When we first took a sip, it was really good but at the halfway point, the beer started to smell and taste like a dirty gym locker room. She let me have the honors of putting the rest of it down. While we were relaxing and having our beers, we saw they had stickers and some sweet shirt designs. The stickers were only $1, so we grabbed two of each. There was a shirt design we both really liked but only mine was in stock. Emily was okay with that since one of the stickers had the design on it, too. Shirts were $25 a piece. Since we were only here for a quick stop, I'll keep this short. The beer for the most part was delicious. The people working were super friendly and the vibe of the place was killer. Between here, Wake Brewing, and Raccoon Motel, I'm starting to think the Quad Cities has a pretty solid heave metal scene... which is pretty frickin' a in my book. I'd highly suggest Stompbox Brewing if you need a place to grab a beer and do some light headbanging.
