Delicious snacks, sweet and savory. I loved the cookies and the natural orange juice. Oh, I forgot to recommend the Cuban coffee, exquisite. Excellent services. I recommend it!

Pastries and sandwiches are always fresh and made to order. Coffee is made to liking as well. Staff is friendly and courteous. Location is well kept for order and go service.

Genesis Bakery, Homestead Stopped at genesis bakery after a brief search on yelp for Cuban coffee. The bakery is located in a shopping strip mall. Plenty of parking. We walked in, no greeting and the young gal behind the counter was not interested in assisting. We asked if they were serving breakfast and she just pointed to a hot area and nothing else. We asked again and she just pointed and I then saw the pancakes and eggs. All of the sudden, the place got busy with locals and she young gal took care of the people coming in after us. All of the sudden, the owner walks in and takes our order. We ordered 2 sandwiches, two freshly squeezed orange juices and a coffee; for a total of $21.94 I must say the service was somewhat lacking but the coffee made up for it. Would we go again?? Not really.

Maybe I just didn't get the right thing, but my flan cheesecake was just okay. Also tried something that was shaped like a sugar cone, and had syrup in it, and that tasted like sweet mush.

It seems I have been on a bakery spree recently. I came by this Havana's Bakery Cafe a few weeks…read moreago. I had previously been to another location in 288th Street in Homestead... and I found out while there about this location which is closer to my home. It is a smaller location and does not have the selection the one in 288 has... mainly it's missing cakes. But it gets the job done for me... as I was just looking for a good but cheap Cuban breakfast... eggs, croquettes, Cuban toast, cafe con leche. The breakfast was good, cheap and quite filling! I attached pictures of the meal and prices for anyone interested. One thing though, besides the cakes, is that because it's a small location, they don't have a lot of employees. I placed a large to go order, someone else did at the same time, and another customer came in just to get a few pastries and croquettes. The staff was a bit overwhelmed so it took a bit of time to get the food. A great little bakery in south Homestead if anyone wants to get their Cuban pastry/croquette fix. I will come back.

This place has a different name yes it's Cuban but it's called Isla Bakery…read more It's quite good, it has inside and outside seating very clean and good service. Breakfasts are very affordable starting at 4.99. The ham and cheese croissants are great and so are the tortilla with ham and cheese sandwich they also have all the typical favorites of pastelitos. Natural OJ. If you're on the way to the keys make sure you stop by and load up.
