The whole five stars. Why? Because food that's why. It's why you're here, isn't it? You're hungry or thirsty. You crave a good amount of breakfast bang for your buck well I've got news- this is it. Staples? They got em. No, not metal clips, I'm talking the good stuff. Colada, croqueta pastelitos. A variety of delicious sandwiches and beverages to cure pangs and parched throats alike. What's that? You need an order in a hurry? Call ahead and place it. It'll be ready for you and you'll be an office hero. Huh? Telework? Then be the household hero and order a bandeja de pastelitos for the kids. Please, won't someone think of the children Also, I like to get coffee in the mornings because they're open early and they're awesome - so there's that

Cuban sandwich overpowered with mustard. I put the lone pickle on after having to ask and found them missing on the side. Excellent bread!

I moved back to Miami over a month ago and decided I needed a Cuban sandwich today and chose here. After waiting in line for awhile, the petite, young, pretty girl took my order. She asked if I wanted mayonnaise and mustard. No I don't want mayonnaise on my Cuban and I only like a little bit of mustard. She barely spoke English so I spoke to her in Spanish and had to repeat myself 10x that I didn't want mayonnaise and only a little bit of mustard. In addition, that I wanted my pickles on the side. She kept acting like she didn't understand so a Spanish lady within earshot told her as well what I wanted. Well when I finally got it, I checked the bag for my pickles on the side and the girl never gave them to me. I asked for them at which time she eventually gave them to me. Decided to eat at the little communal table in the corner because I was starving and there was wayyy too much mustard on my sandwich even if I hadn't ordered it light. It ended up on my dress, my purse, my hands and I had to wipe it off the sandwich with my finger. They have a napkin dispenser mounted by the door which is not visible from the little communal table and I finally had to ask because I was wearing mustard. The bread was fresh and delicious but I just wasn't impressed with the fact that I didn't get what I ordered as other reviews have mentioned here and I was forewarned about. I've had way better Cuban sandwiches in Central FL and definitely expected a phenomenal one in Homestead of all places. I'd go back to try their loaf of Cuban bread and maybe a pastry item (their cakes were beautiful btw) but will search elsewhere for my beloved Cuban sandwich. This wasn't it.

Hubby and I ventured to Homestead to try this Cuban bakery. We went around 11am and were able to get a few breakfast pastries but they start selling out and focus on the cuban sandwiches as it gets into lunchtime. They open at 5am and stay steady busy. Plan to take a number and be in line for a bit but it moves along and there are lots of goodies to browse while you wait. We got 8 patries and a cuban coffee for $12. The chicken empanada was one of the best I've tasted with shredded chicken and savory pastry...still warm even after bringing it home. The cheese pastry had powdered sugar on top with just the right amount of filling insode the flaky crust. Be prepared for crumbs..so good! Hubby enjoyed the strong coffee and had to let it cool off. Worth the drive and can't wait to try a dessert or cake from them.

I have been looking for a good local Cuban bakery to go to ever since I moved to Homestead. I had many disappointments trying to find one, sometimes wondering if I even would. Coming from Hialeah, where there's one practically in every corner it was pretty perplexing. Thankfully several months back I noticed a yelp friend checking into a Cuban bakery in Homestead, they wrote previously a great review of the place so I decided to bookmark it and come by the next time I had a craving. Glad I did... this place is The Cuban bakery I have been looking for... so thanks a ton Ericka G! So I came by this place near their closing time and they still had some delicious goodness to sell, got some pastelitos de carne (meat pastries) and of course croquetas de hamon (ham croquettes) and of course some Cuban bread... essentially these are my favorite things to buy at any Cuban bakery. When I got home to eat them... yum! Cuban bread is heavenly, fluffy, and with butter.... mmmmmm! Who doesn't like Cuban pastries, and of course croquettes are addicting! If I ever see a tray out with them I become like the Cookie Monster and just park myself next to it, eating that non stop.... nom nom nom! Unlike all the other places I've tried in my new city, this place knew how to make the Cuban baked goodness I crave! Will I come back? Maybe. The reason why I say that is while I was there I was told by one of the employees they had another location even closer to my house that I was unaware of! So I will be making my way there soon to try it... although I am sure it will just be as satisfying at this place as it's the same business. If you are looking for delicious Cuban baked goods in Homestead and Florida City, look for a Havana's Bakery Cafe!

Great bakery! The ladies were super nice. They barely spoke English but they didn't stop them from serving some good pastries, and coffee. Pastelitos de guayaba con queso was one of my favs!

The best cafecito in Homestead, FL. By far. Every morning I come and grab colada and empanadas which are high on the list too.

Love this place and the coladas are very cheap and strong. They have lots of pastries, all at a very reasonable price.

While I thought it was a pretty solid cinnamon roll, there was nothing really overly exciting about it. It was just a decent cinnamon roll. We also tried the strawberry milkshake and I will say that was also pretty good, especially on a hot Florida afternoon. I appreciated the real strawberry flavor. Additionally there wasn't a lot to do when we got there. Maybe it was because we were there at the end of the season, but from what I could tell there wasn't really only the bakery and milkshakes. Again, solid option but I had heard so much about this place and just don't quite understand the viral nature of this place. But overall a good thing to do to spend an open late afternoon

This iconic fruit stand is a true South Florida institution. From the moment you pull in, it feels like stepping into a charming, old-school roadside market bursting with color and character. Crates overflow with vibrant tropical fruits, the air smells sweet and fresh, and the whole place has that nostalgic, family-run charm you just don't find everywhere anymore. The mamey milkshake is my go-to and hands down my favorite. It's unbelievably thick, creamy, and packed with rich tropical flavor. One sip and you'll understand why it's legendary. Beyond the milkshakes, they carry incredible local honey, homemade sauces, unique jams, fresh shallots, beautiful vegetables, and perfectly ripe fruits. The exotic fruit selection alone is worth the trip. you'll discover varieties you didn't even know existed. What makes it even more special is that Robert himself is often there, still working and interacting with customers. It adds such a personal touch. Everyone on staff is genuinely kind, welcoming, and happy to answer questions or offer recommendations. Don't skip the back area, there's a small petting zoo where you can buy feed and interact with the animals, which makes it a fun stop for families and kids. Instead, we left with a smashed rental car window, 1,500 dollars in stolen valuables, and a ruined vacation. Our car was broken into while parked directly in front of the property -- in plain sight. We weren't even there for 15 minutes. When we asked about security camera footage that might help identify who did this, we were told the cameras don't work. Let that sink in. A high-traffic tourist destination with non-functional security cameras and apparently zero deterrent for criminals who clearly know this area is an easy target. This isn't a random isolated incident -- this is a known problem and the owners have done nothing meaningful to protect their customers. Working cameras, security presence, adequate signage warning visitors of the risk -- none of it. Just a cute fruit stand with a dangerous parking lot and zero accountability. (To be fair, the employees seemed remorseful, and gave us some trash bags and tape to cover the window.) Save yourself. Buy your fruit somewhere else. No smoothie is worth what this visit cost us.
