If I could give this ER department a negative star rating, I would…read more My 75-year-old dad arrived with stroke-like symptoms and was kept in the ER overnight so they could perform an MRI the following morning. During that entire time, he was never given fluids, never offered anything to eat, and his call light went unanswered for 10-20 minutes at a time. At one point he tried to get up to use the urinal on his own because no one responded, and he fell on the same hip he had just had replaced a few months ago. When we raised concerns about the fall and asked about getting his hip x-rayed, Physician Hayes responded with unnecessary rudeness and condescension. She looked at my dad and asked, "Sir, do you have dementia?" Not only was this disrespectful, but any provider should be aware of a patient's medical history by reviewing the chart before making comments like that. By the time we were discharged, I was furious and deeply concerned. The care my dad received was neglectful, dismissive, and ethically unacceptable. I will be contacting the patient advocate to file a formal complaint. Something needs to change before someone is seriously harmed--or worse.

Then they called me the very next morning and got me in the following Tuesday. I would say it's a very efficient office very organized. Everybody knows their role. The front desk, however, is the face of the office. Their demeanor and lack of politeness needs to be addressed or they need to pay a little more an hour to get quality employees upfront.

I have been trying to get my records released for 2 weeks now. I signed release forms exactly 2…read moreweeks ago today. They were faxed over from another clinic. A week went by and I never heard from anyone? I decided to call Heartland to see if my records had been released yet. I was transferred to the records department which went to a recording. I left a detailed message and my phone number for them to call me back. I never received a return call? I called again to the new clinic and had them re-fax the signed form. I then called Heartland right away and got the recorded message again so I hung up and went directly to Heartland to have my records released to me. I filled out yet another form to have my records released. I had to fill out information that I had no idea what requesting. The receptionist offered no assistance. I had her look for the fax that was resent this morning to no avail. My doctor said we really needed to act on doing some tests for my condition. I sure hope that it's no big deal?

Mornings, almost impossible to find a Disabled parking spot, only ones far far away…read more At the front desk, try to find the signs, where is the bathroom ? the cafeteria (hint, it is at the elevator long long down the hall) ? the place to pick up their patient, after being treated, if you are driving ? way down the hall, elevator up, then... I gave up, unable to walk that far... Cafeteria ? Locked doors. No sign, no hours, nothing. Hard enough to find, long walk, and (expletive deleted) what the h... ? Candy and pop machines super expensive, if you can get them to work.. I failed. Do they hate people ? Does the front desk just goof off and accidently help some people ? Wheelchairs up front, some are skinny, some are big. How can you tell ? I could not,,, There is a brake system behind the back top of the chair, or it does not work, you gotta see and read the small print AND instructions on it ??? Can you sit in it and operate it... NO !!! F... you it screams. Luckily this is not a place where sick people go, or those in distress, or bad off, its a country club for workers. Sad.
