Went shopping there today and was swindled out of $10 by the woman at the counter! Picked up a…read moresweet vintage sweater that was marked $10, put it up at the counter with some other things (so I could shop hands free) and kept wandering for a bit. After perusing a while longer I went to check out. Was told the total was $31 and some change..... I was so confused and asked how (the real price should have been $21 something) so she goes on to say "oh yeah the sweater is $20, that's $10 and half off and those are so and so and so and so". Well, that's odd - I thought.... But I wanted the sweater so I just paid to get out of there. (Paid cash like an idiot and didn't get a receipt ) Got to my car to check the price tag on the sweater and what do ya know?? She took it every other price tag was still intact on every other item I purchased (as I know some antique stores save the tags for the separate vendors to keep track) so now it's double Hinky!! I'm bummed I didn't go back in and ask to see the tag but what can I do now. Oh well, live and learn. Hang onto your items if you shop here otherwise you're liable to fall prey to the age old switcharoo!

Some of the booths that used to be accessible are now blocked off and loads of items piled high. I came to find out they are all rented by the manger and a renter of the store and he has taken to piling items inside the front door and by the counter. Unacceptable. Half the store is a store and the other is a storage locker. Good luck in finding items and how embarrassing for the other renters.

This was a great find while exploring the larger Geneva Antiques Market which takes up the rest of…read morethe lower level in this building (the Berry House). This shop is far more "upscale" than the finds in the other store (and actually better than pretty much all of the other antique shops in the area). I think she said they specialize in European Antiques, with a lot of it being furniture. Some gorgeous pieces. I'm not familiar with what those items normally sell for, but they seemed comparable to what a new item would cost - and these were far more beautiful. I've been in there multiple times now, and they are always super friendly and happy to talk about their inventory, even though I've never bought from them.
