Since the procedures, my newborn has been feeding great and gaining weight, and the several follow up appointments have been just as good, Emily provided techniques on different positions, how to adjust the latch, and queues for when baby is done eating. She is so knowledgeable about lactation and put me at ease, she is great about consent before touching and so gentle with my baby. My mother in law was a recent patient in this AFH. They kicked her out because she didn't sleep…read moreall night and walked around during the day because she had recent hip replacement surgery. One caregiver worked 5 x 24 hr straight shifts and expected to sleep all night. I'm much younger and even I get up once per night to pee. They prefer during the day to place everyone in front of the TV. Also, they couldn't seem to give her meds appropriately as ordered by her doctor. They would get a 30 day supply and run out 5 days early. Also, when there was an issue with THEIR patient they would start a very unprofessional text string with multiple people about how much work she was and about how my wife needed to spend nights with her. Curious what the $6K per month we paid was supposed to get besides multiple bedsores. I'm a hospital pharmacist so I do know how these places are supposed to care for patients and this isn't it!

She also became visibly angry with me. All of these things I think are unprofessional no matter what her personal feelings were. She would not give me the sleep medications I came there for until I took another medication she prescribed. Later a psychiatrist told me this medication was not recommended for me. During the sessions I felt bullied into sort of taking a belly up surrender to what she said so I could sleep at night.
