In the past I was very happy. This visit i needed a tooth pulled and a partial made and the doctor said they could not do that there and referred me to another dentist in Surfside, called Cloak. When I called they told me that they dont take any insurance and I have to pay all out of pocket. What??? read more

Shocking how bad this dentist is. Really borders on unethical. For 2 elderly relatives he has watched their teeth rot, not filling cavities, and referring to specialist for extractions. After periodontist said "your gums look great, very aggressively treat any cavities on bottom". Still he will not fill cavities in these teeth. Always an excuse. "The cavity is too big", "you're going to lose the tooth anyway". In 10 years, 2 patients not one cavity this dentist thought worthy of filling. One patient has now dentures on top due to this dentists neglect, and other patient lost half her teeth before I got her to another dentist. The new dentist had pulled 5 teeth, and filled 10 cavities over 3 months. I am seriously considering getting these patients to complain to dental board as it is not clear this dentist should have a license. read more

My first few visits were ok, but then I had an emerging issue on the right side of my mouth. They recommended an extraction after discussing a few options. The problem is that they recommended an extraction of the wrong tooth! They should have done more testing to determine which tooth was the problem. Fortunately, that still small voice in my head said something did not feel right, so I went to another dentist for a second opinion. With one quick x-ray and a fast test, they were able to identify the correct tooth with the problem. The procedure is complete, and I can't believe I almost had the wrong tooth pulled. read more

Excellent service as. Usual. Had a cleaning and X-rays from the Hygienist. No waiting. Highly recommend them.

I used to go there with the previous dentist who named it. Then it was true to its name, had to refer my son to a dentist and did not realize it had changed hands. They treated him and I terribly. I've never felt like I was in a place I was not wanted, this was a dental emergency and he needed a referral or I would have left. When we walked out after the appt. We both looked at each other in disbelief and asked each other if we were feeling the same way. I recommend never going there unless you like being made to feel like you are less than. In fact I can't ever remember in my lifetime being made to feel that way before or since. Very sad. The referral was great BTW. They need to take Gentle out of their name and Mean to their name. read more

My experience with Gental Dental has been wonderful. I read other reviews here and can't believe what people have written. First of all the staff is tremendous. They are all friendly and caring. Number two the dentist Dr Barth is wonderful. He is so gentle and caring. He alwsys does right by me. I would recommend this office to anybody who needs a good dental office. read more

I'm on a budget and asked for an simple estimate. The front desk advised they could not give me an estimate until I have an X-ray. After meeting with the doctor, I was advised a cleaning would cost between $800 to $1000 with insurance from BCBS. I was charged $137 to be advised it would be another $800 to $1000. They also advised they work with a financial company at 21℅ interest rate. I threw $137 into the wind with no cleaning. read more

My experience with this Dental office has ended today. The office staff from the bottom to the top do not care, they are incompetent and rude and immature. It took weeks and weeks for them to call me once they had the insurance approval.. Papers lost on someones desk, Causing a delay in treatment and loss of annual insurance benefit. Billed me incorrectly due to incorrect insurance information inputed in to system. They called me for payment I did not know I owed. I asked to get a detailed bill, it took weeks and weeks. A young lady called me again for payment, I asked her to call my husband because I was heading into a meeting. She did not call him. This week I receive a collection notice. Today I went to the office and once again I was greeted with arrogance. They pretty much said I they did call my husband and I was lying. Turns out they had the wrong # and apparently that was my fault too. But clearly on my new patient paperwork I wrote the correct #. I asked to talk to the office manager and lucky for me the young lady I was already speaking to was the office manager. I tried to explain my entire experience with her hoping she would have understood and tried to make it right. She did not, she just wanted to be right, she did not care that I wanted my records to transfer to a new Dentist. She did not want to stop explaining how right they were. According to them everything was my fault, the incorrect mailing address the wrong insurance information, when they had a copy of my insurance card, The wrong area code on the phone number, which was correct on paperwork. All of their mistakes and incompetence are apparently my fault. I finally said it does not matter you do not care to listen to me you obviously do not want us a patients, you just want to be right. My husband and I will find a new dentist. Just to be clear my balance was $40.00 and my husbands was $17.50 yes a grand total of $57.50. I hope the dentists in this office are now aware of the customer service their patients get. From the moment I walked in the office staff could not do the job and no one has the right answers. If only they will learn to listen. STOP talking and listen. On a positive note.... Service was OK but I was not impressed. My reason for not going back is that the TV in the lobby was tuned to Fox News on every visit. I respect people's rights to their own beliefs. I will not pay excessive fees for routine dental care AND endure negativity and lies. read more

This dentist ruined my teeth! Extracted a perfectly good crown without asking. Put in a bridge that was the wrong size. Now my front tooth is being pushed out and my perfectly straight teeth are now, like a beaver on one side! So upset I want to being a suite against them! read more

Yes the dentist and staff was very nice, but about 1 year later I receive a bill. When I booked my appointment I confirmed they participated with my insurance and the receptionist confirmed that. I also confirmed that with the hygienist before she took ex-rays. When I called about the bill she told me there was nothing that she could do. Be very careful with the billing at this practice I am guess they do this a lot as I found out they also did this to a few of my coworkers with their bills. I needed a crown re-glued just before a long holiday weekend. We were traveling across the US, too, so I used Yelp to find this dentist. I found them to be extremely helpful and professional. Their beautiful office was easy to find and they took excellent care of my dental and billing needs. If I lived here, I would definitely make them my dental provider. read more
