I was professionally advised of the treatment plan along with possible complications and cost. The molar was removed but the wisdom tooth was not (I was advised this maybe a complication because of the wisdom tooth proximity to my sinus cavity, but a determination would be made during surgery and "watched" for later treatment) One day later I have no problems or issues. I give this long review to highlight the professional, caring Dr Wallen, his front office staff and his surgery staff. This was always brought up by our former doctor, however it was never recommended that the tonsils be removed. Dr. Cunningham and his wonderfully caring and polite staff helped us through this ordeal. He read the report from the oral surgeon and then evaluated my son's tonsils and if he really needed them to be removed. As it turned out, Dr. Cunningham felt that it was not necessary for removal and perhaps it would hinder my son if the tonsils were removed. I always seem to feel more respect for a doctor, who does not want to perform unnecessary procedures on a patient, just to make a buck. He did the right thing for my son, therefore I am very grateful and happy for the excellent care that was provided. He accepted United Healthcare.

My appointment was at 9:15 a.m., and I arrived early at 9:05 to fill out the paperwork. At the…read morefront desk, a guy told me the X-ray and exam would cost $290, and he repeated it several times. However, when I was taken to the room, the assistant said it would actually be $309. When I asked why, she said, "It's just a $10 difference," which is not true -- it's $19. I told her I would be paying cash (no insurance) and that I didn't appreciate the price changing before we even started. She said she would go check the price and never came back. After 40 minutes, I went out myself and found her just standing there. She said they had increased the prices and that the front desk "didn't know." Then the doctor, Robert Huggins, came in and said prices were higher because I made the appointment "a month ago." That's not true -- I scheduled it three days before. He apologized and agreed to honor the original $290 price, and even said he'd do it for $280. He gave me anesthesia at 11:10 a.m. and said he would start in a few minutes. But he didn't come back for almost an hour -- until 11:55. By that time, the anesthesia was already wearing off. When I told him this was unacceptable, he said, "You're right, I should've told you to come next week, because I'm too busy today." Then he gave me two options: he said he could either start right now and finish everything in 15 minutes, or reschedule me for another day. So basically, after sitting in that chair for three and a half hours, hungry, numb, and ignored, he suddenly decided my treatment could be rushed in just 15 minutes. That's not normal, and it's absolutely unacceptable. Even though it was an emergency for me and I decided to let him fix the tooth that day, I left the clinic completely drained and disappointed. No one offered water, no one apologized. At the end, he gave me a $50 discount, and I ended up paying $618 in total. I will never come back to this place again -- and I don't recommend it to anyone who expects respect, honesty, and professionalism
