I've had deep cleanings before whenever…read moreI've had to change dentists due to moving, etc. My recent dentist had me on a regimen that was working very well where I had a teeth cleaning every three months and didn't require a deep cleaning. However, when I moved Summit Smiles wanted me to get a deep cleaning despite my numbers suggesting my teeth / gums were in good shape due to my regimen. In any event, I agreed to just get in with a dentist. They told me my x-rays may not be covered by my insurance. I agreed to that too. I get a bill from them for $71.00 for a comprehensive oral examination plus I now need to spend over $200 for deep cleanings. When I call them, the girl immediately had attitude and had to ask me my name twice and over talked me. She actually tried to project that I was the one overtalking her (lol). I could not get a word in edgewise and she just kept telling me I have to call the insurance company. They aren't the ones billing me. I hung up on her because she was just extra rude and I was not being heard. I called the insurance company to find out THEY FAILED TO LET THEM KNOW I WAS A NEW PATIENT so that is why I was being billed for the comprehensive oral examination. So they made the mistake. Needless to say, I just wanted a teeth cleaning. I didn't need a deep cleaning despite them forcing it on me. I live two hours from my previous dentist and will return to them until I find an honest dentist and one who doesn't have rude receptionists with attitude. They lost a patient and it is sad the people who answer their phones is the cause. It appears from other reviews I am not the first one this has happened to.

Inevitably, during the COVID, my wisdom tooth cracked back in May and I was giving me a LOT of pain. I did a google search for surgeons in my area & made an appointment for July 30th. Understandably, every medical office is backed up due to COVID. I was anxious for 2 months awaiting my appointment, but I was in pain so it was not an option to continue postponing the inevitable. The process up until that day went smoothly - back & forth emails to get all my paperwork in prior to my appointment was very helpful. When I arrived for my appointment, I was very anxious. The woman who checked me in was very calming and helpful. The woman who took my x-rays was gentle and kind. They took me right back to the examination room and the woman who did my intake was awesome - again very calming and made me feel at ease. Meeting Dr. Chaudhry was another great experience. He was honest and told me that sedation was recommended for my procedure - especially knowing how anxious I was. Considering I was not prepared with a ride home, they waited patiently while I made arrangements to have my fiance pick me up. Also considering I do not have dental insurance & was not prepared for the additional sedation cost, Dr. Chaudhry worked with me and he was more than generous in his quote. I am so very thankful for that. The procedure was a dream - everyone was gentle, calming, & kind. I remember & felt NOTHING after the IV went into my arm. After the Novocaine wore off that evening I was sore, but in no pain whatsoever - which was surprising to me. I can not tell you how much this experience may very well have "cured" by fear of dentists. Every single person there made me feel welcome and calm. I have a LOT of dental work ahead of me and I simply can not go anywhere else. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU

I had been to my old dentist twice already because of pain on one side of my mouth. He took x-rays and examined me both times, but could never find anything. So I mentioned the pain to Dr. Wert. It took him five minutes to see what was wrong. He gently tapped on a couple of teeth--no pain--and then when he tapped on the third one it was clear he'd found the source of the pain. I had a crown on that tooth, and Dr. Wirt told me there was infection under the crown. He would have to remove it and clear out the infection. I was so relieved to know what was causing the pain, and that it could be fixed. I'm so glad he opened an office in Hellertown. Oh, and the office staff was very pleasant and helpful too.

I STILL HAVE THE CARD. I had received text message reminders and a phone call reminder all leading up to this appointment. I scheduled myself to work from home that day so that I could go to this appointment for what I assumed was a cleaning. Due to road construction on my way there I would say that I arrived roughly 8 or 9 minutes late. I'm going to say that this amount of time late should NOT have been a problem because when I go there I literally NEVER walk straight into the appointment. I always have to wait!! Your time is no more valuable than mine is. Also, most PROFESSIONAL businesses give a courtesy amount of time too allow people to get to the appointment. Some of us actually work for a living. But I digress... Anyway, I walk up to the desk, give the receptionist my name and she says I don't have you on my schedule for today. I said well I certainly have an appointment. She keeps looking at the screen and asking me if I'm sure and to give her my name again. She still couldn't find me. Then I showed her my text message reminder. She then gets up and walks toward the back into the office and starts engaging in conversation with other women (one was definitely a hygienist whom she asked to do a cleaning for me) because she (the hygienist) said well she's not on the schedule and she's 15 minutes late even if she was so NO I cannot see her. This was said in a nasty tone while looking in my direction. I HEARD her say this as she was standing in a doorway, casually chatting up other women. She was clearly NOT busy. I said no, "She" (meaning myself) was not 15 minutes late and if it weren't such a Scooby Doo mystery of why I'm here I could have been getting seen by now. They very nastily told me I couldn't be seen that day and that I had been removed or crossed off the schedule because I was late. You have got to be joking. I'm sure you clowns have cameras. Check them and see how late I was and don't use that as an excuse for your ineptitude and unprofessionalism. I was told I could reschedule. I said I would do no such thing since you all wasted my valuable time. Dr. Fabey, your practice is only as good as your staff.
