2/22/25 Tired of barbers not adapting to different hairstyles. Not everyone wants a short haircut. I gave two reference photos (shown below), and was told by the barber, who turned out to be the owner, that everything was communicated fine. Both photos were LONG hair. If you don't know how to cut and accommodate long hair, then say it. 10 months of hair growth out the door. The only reason why I gave 2 stars is because the beard was done well. You're better off going to a salon if you want anything more than a basic fade. read more

I always hate to be "That guy" when I sit in a barber's chair for the first time. I look in the mirror and know that I have one hair on my head, and always hope that my barber can work miracles by making me look as if I had the mane of a high school senior. Spoiler alert: This VERY rarely happens, but Joe Orozco inexplicably works magic that produces results that ALWAYS please me! He is a rare cat; Joe is talented and knowledgeable, patient, reverent when needed, funny when appropriate and always focused on the client in his chair. He is a FABULOUS listener as well, and will engage in conversation when prompted to do so. In my profession, I have had the opportunity to send many an A-List celebrity client to Joe, as well as guests who simply wish a great haircut. I am ALWAYS so pleased when my guests return to my hotel to show off their new 'dos, and each has been so very pleased, regardless if the guest is from Hollywood, CA or Hollywood, FL ... or anywhere in-between! Joe Orozco is a cut above the rest, pun intended. Somehow, in 45 minutes, he effortlessly makes (what's left of) my hair look stylish, clean and plentiful. I went in for a simple medium fade with a long top. This kid Eddie gave me the most boy-scout, not-even-close-to-what-I-asked-for, chop job I've had in my 36 years of life. I literally am leaving the shop to buy a hat so I can still go out in public tonight. The fade is way high. I asked for a taper fade, which he totally ignored. "Natural fade on my sideburns please".. squared it right off with a smile on his face. Torched chunks of my hairline that were totally unnecessary.. the fun went on. I neeevver leave bad reviews.. but when I told him twice this isn't what I asked for.. he just responded "thank you" as if I was congratulating on a job well done. When I go to pay with a $100 he tells me he doesn't have change. I offer my debit card and he replies "cash only". I look to his co-workers for a cue, Eddie takes my $100 to them for change only to return and give me $40 in my hands which is helping himself to a $20 tip (50%). I was a little blown away before coming to my senses and peeled a $10 out of his cold, vulturous grip.. He seriously might be deaf which is totally fine.. but there needs to be a heads up. Bad form guys. The bright-side? New hat. Excellent walk-in service. I was visiting Palm Springs for vacation and needed a beard trim and head shave and their location was a couple blocks from my Airbnb and their reviews were solid. I called to see if they took walk-ins and they said come on in. Outside of waiting about 30 minutes to be seen they were able to get me in before the end of the day and they did a great job. The barber I saw was a bit of a quiet guy, but did a great cut and was super friendly. A really great experience and quality cut. Price wise seems reasonable for the area and better priced then some other shops in the area. I'd easily come back here again and recommend it to anyone looking to get a cut in while out on vacation or if they live nearby. read more

Wow what a difference a barber makes. I've been here 5 times mostly walk ins by myself or with friends . This was my first time booking on line and what a disappointment. All barbers are Not created equal. I guess I was lucky all the other visits which is why I still have to give this place 4 stars. But I believe the true mark of a great barber is in the shave and this was not it. My suggestion for the owners here is to test or train everyone so the experience is consistent. A hot towel followed by cold gel that clings to your face is not a hot shave. The feeling of broken glass across your cheek might be similar. Where was the slight scent of eucalyptus? Or the bracing aftershave? Where was a comb and scissors to trim my mustache and beard ? I use clippers and a guide to trim at home Not very satisfying. Advice for anyone who wanders in here - if you find a good barber keep the same booking and follow him around the city if necessary . Beware when you go on the website who you book . My recommendations would be stick with the J's - Jesus , Jeff and Jardiel. I love this place and still recommended it to out of Townes but please get everyone in the same page. read more

It's difficult for me to articulate myself well, when it comes to telling barbers what it is I want in a haircut. Luckily, owner Jeff Orozco was able to understand what I wanted and made me look great after my haircut. When I went to visit family right after my cut, I was told that I looked the best I had looked in a long while. Thanks Jeff! What I rally like about what Jeff does in comparison to other barbers I've been to, is how he embraces modern tech. Although I believe walk-ins are welcomed, you're able to make an appointment on the goPanache app or by going on goPanache.com. I appreciate this more than making a call because I can book an appointment so far in advanced and guarantee a time that works for me. Other barbers I've used in the past only accept same day appointments, which are not as convenient. Lastly, the atmosphere Jeff and his barbers provide is great. You feel like you're at a real barbershop. I had a great time getting a great haircut and chatting with not just Jeff but with all his barbers as well. I'll be spending a lot of time here in the desert now that my mom has retired out here and I'm glad that I have a talented barber to depend on while I'm out here. I have been coming to this barbershop consistently for a couple years now. On Friday, October 15, I had an appointment with Salvatore, like I always do, and during a mask mandate citywide for Palm Springs, I was shocked to see nobody inside of this barbershop was wearing a mask, except for me. This was completely unacceptable, I walked out and sent a text to Salvatore to cancel my appointment immediately. Somebody should investigate this Barber shop for not following the law and the rules that we all need to follow. read more

After about a year of teetering between keeping my 80's style mop and entertaining a new look I reluctantly decided to go with the latter. After reading all the great reviews on Gentlemen's Barbershop I figured it was worth checking out. I had a general idea of what I wanted but was nervous that it would not translate and end up being something that did not look good to add fuel to my apprehension it appeared that I was appointed the guy in the corner (looked like the new guy).
