Gentry towing are high priced and crooked people. They took advantage of me and if you give them the chance they will put the screws to you too. I struck a deer on Hillsboro Road in Franklin, TN early New Year's Day. I was injured and transported to the emergency room. Gentry was next on the THP towing list (unlucky for me). He towed my Honda Pilot to his lot less than 10 miles away. He charged $40 per day storage and $375 for the tow! A 9 mile tow was $375! He later tried to talk me in to keeping my SUV for the bill! I've dealt with a lot of tow companies during my lifetime, and this one, is the best yet... I just cold called them, due to my circumstance... Based on their response, they will be the only ones I call in the future... Impeccable customer service! Someone had broken down and left their vehicle on my property, with no contact information... To make a long story short, I currently have people at my house working on remodeling stuff... The workers basically refused to come back, if that vehicle wasn't removed because it interfered with them getting their job done.... The workers reported that they had great difficulty, maneuvering around the vehicle, to get to my house..It was in their way, so it had to be removed! I proceeded to call the police department and give them the person's tag number, in hopes we could contact the owner of the vehicle... But, the PD wouldn't do anything because it was on private property... They told me to call a tow company and said, the tow bill would be at the owner's expense... So, that's what I did. I explained the situation to Jamie Gentry (owner of Gentry's Towing & Removal), and he was helpful from beginning to end... It was fairly late when I called Mr Gentry, and he was so pleasant to speak with... I explained the situation, and he assured me that he would haul the vehicle away... He added that they had several other calls, so it would be quite a bit It later, before they could get to it... I want to point out, this is a 24/7 towing company... So, they can take care of issues, day and/or night... Sure enough, they got it removed (Yay)...Not only did they remove the vehicle from my property, they kept me informed of the process along the way... Since it was late, we weren't calling each other, so Mr Gentry text me the details... I was informed of when they were headed to my address and when they loaded the vehicle on their tow truck. I highly recommend anyone using Gentry's Towing & Removal... Mr Gentry was so nice, helpful, dependable, and professional... He resolved my issue, without having to meet me in person... He took care of the problem without inconveniencing me and insisting that I be present, sign paperwork, or whatever else most other companies require at arrival... He did everything I requested, without hesitation, via communicating by phone...I AM VERY IMPRESSED and PLEASED with their services... I pulled into my backyard to drop of a water heater, but when I paused to put the truck in reverse to back up to the deck, all I got was tire spin. I stuck that truck in some good old Tennessee clay. We tried a number of things to get the truck moving. We tried wood under the tires, floor mats, digging and event a n old grate we had found. We were still stuck in the mud! We called Roadside Assistance and they arranged for Gentry Towing & Recover to meet me between 7 and 9 am. I got a text saying they would arrive at 7:45 and they actually arrived about 7:30. I was a few minutes away and before I got back home, he had already set up to pull the truck from the muck. It was a tricky task as the truck was part way between the house and the pasture fence. There was no room for a vehicle to get in position to pull the truck out. By the time I arrived he had already wrapped a chain around a very solid tree and run his cable through a pulley hook attached to the the chain and on to his wench. He pulled that truck out of the mud and around the house in less than five minutes. A couple of side notes: 1) No, the truck was not a four wheel drive 2) Yes, my wife did advise me not to drive into the back yard as I would get stuck. Thanks Jamie! read more

I drove one of the moving trucks from California to Franklin Tennessee. I was towing a car trailer. This was all because my buddy needed help with moving his family to live in Franklin. After a 2.5 day drive the GPS routes me off the freeway down a few city streets and says make the next right and your destination is on the left. Well that was Goose creek Rd. And went directly into the housing track. Snow was covering the smaller streets and there was no place to turn around. I backed the trailer in the field and was trying to get turned around. The rear tires got into the snow and I was stuck. Triple A told me they wouldn't help after a 20 min hold on the phone. I had been texting with Gentry while on hold. They offered to come help and I accepted. They got to me in less than 5 minutes. They had to barrel through the snow to get on the upside of the truck because I was blocking the road. My truck was loaded DOWN! They connected a winch cable and blocked their truck and got me out. Very nice, capable guys! They then followed me up to the snow covered community and guided me to a 3 point turn and made sure I got safely back to the main road. Good ending to a frustrating situation. I had to pull off of 840 suddenly because my engine light was blinking and my SUV was shaking as well when I hit the gas. My teenage son was in an accident. The police contacted Gentry Towing. With no statement of costs or acceptance of charges, they towed my son's vehicle. After the weekend and a holiday, my son called to retrieve the vehicle and they told him the bill was $800 and $1000 if they moved the car to the mechanic. Absolute robbery. We called other towing companies to verify these charges and everyone we spoke to told us with expletives that these charges were insane. BEWARE OF JIM AT GENTRY TOWING. Honest service for honest rates no longer exists even in our sweet little town. He lowered the charges to $450, but let it be known Andy's towing picked up and delivered the vehicle for $85! read more

After a horrible customer experience waiting for AAA service that never showed up I called Gentry at 9PM on a Sunday night and got an immediate answer. I asked that they show up at 7:30 the next morning. They were right on time, very courteous and not only jumped my battery but took the time to explain to me why the battery was no longer any good and had to be replaced. Called to have my motorcycle towed, from the time they answered the phone they were friendly and courteous. They responded immediately and someone met me within about 15 minutes. Took great care in loading my vehicle on the truck and went straight to the service department. I definitely use them again should the need arise and would highly recommend to all. read more
