Had an Rv towed there after it was picked up had items missing manager refused to help when I called and asked him to review the security footage for the 2 days and nights it was there was from out of town stated I know who you are and I'm not gonna help with your problem it may have disappeared but it didn't here call the police have pending report with police for missing or stolen items just suspicious one refused to check the security when is capable have them 450$ would never recomend folks like these clearly not southern hospitality at all cannot wait for the police to get access to your footage as they have taken an inventory of property before it was towed to your lot read more

I called after my car broke down on the side of the interstate. I was told it would be several hours before they could come. I understand helping customers in the order calls are received, but unfortunate that they could not accommodate towing someone stranded on the highway in 96 degree heat for several hours. Passed a truck on 65 South on 65 South bear Franklin around 3:30 on 4/2/2021, while towing a black pickup truck. The truck was swerving between lanes, driving in the middle of two lanes for a while eradicably speeding up and slowing down from 50-70. We moved over and tried to speed past him and realized the driver was on the phone while also receiving road head. I tried calling the office and the guy in the other end blew it off without even asking for more details and just stated they would tell management. read more

Had my vehicle towed to this location after an accident where my windshield was severely damaged. Unfortunately my vehicle had to remain at the towing yard for 2 weeks waiting for the claims adjuster. I thought that since my windshield was damaged that it would have been covered or place under a shelter. And it rained a great deal while my vehicle was there. The insurance company totaled out my vehicle because of the water damage since it was left out in the rain. The agent would not allow my vehicle to be repaired and I had to go buy another vehicle. While this one was already paid for. I wished that I had just brought it back to my house because only the windshield needed to be replaced read more

Surrendered my car in a bankruptcy and they picked up the car before I had a chance to get my belongings out of the car. Called multiple times to make sure my stuff was there and I was told yes it would be a $75 fee . I drove an hour to go get it I have. $8000 snap-on scan tool in there driver claims it wasn't in there and inventoried just a car seat and a pair of boots but they don't even have that . So be careful if you have anything of value in your car because it will grow legs and they will act stupid and act like they don't know where your stuff is . I will be filing a civil suit against them a police report has been filed and snap-on has notified all dealers. read more

I can't think of a single thing wrong with the service. The day after a snowstorm, I went over some black ice and drove into a ravine. The cop called for a towing company and these guys responded so fast. I was really happy I didn't have to wait too long in the freezing cold. The employee was also very diligent with not adding any damage to the car and handling it carefully. He towed the car out of the ravine quickly and he got my car and I to the business safely. Definitely lacking customer service at a minimum. My contact with Harpeth Towing left me more with the impression of "Money Over The Customer...On Their Time". Today, Chrysler Dodge Jeep in Franklin contacted them for me (they are towing company THEY use) to have my vehicle towed from Nashville to them for a 3 stage restoration process. After they contacted them, I was very soon notified by the driver that he was enroute from Murfreesboro with a 35 minute ETA. One hour and about 20 minutes later I contacted the company to see what the problem was as he had not arrived. I was told he had locked his keys in his wrecker. Odd since he was already rolling to me why would he have stopped to lock them in until he reached ME. I was told they had sent someone to him and got the keys out...BUT, they had given him another run, that when finished he would be back on the way to me again. Another run? "I" am his run. I explained diplomatically that it would've been nice to have been called and told these things rather than have me just wait. No apology. I told him (unhappily) I would continue to wait. At nearly the two and a half hour mark, I notified the dealership to cancel the run, that Harpeth would not be towing my vehicle. I know that I made that call, someone would surely have been cursed out. Nothing stood to be gained. Normally, I would have also pulled doing business with the dealership on this job, as it stands to be an extensive process. However, personnel there is in management and the Son-In-Law of my girlfriend, the ONLY thing that saved that from happening. I am huge on customer service. In that I was treated the way I was, I will not patronize Harpeth in the future. I'm a 40 year retired member of law enforcement and dealt with wrecker services all the time. This is undoubtedly the worst experience I've had. If you choose to use this company anyway, I would ask you to get an ETA of the wrecker driver and hold them to it within 15 mins. If they are not there then, cancel it. If they will not give you an ETA, move on to another service as you are likely to be sailing on the same ship that I did. Legally, you cannot be charged unless a hook is put to the vehicle. Good Luck...you're likely to need it. read more

My car stalled on the interstate ten minutes from home on Sunday. I called AAA for tow with ride for 3 passengers and was told Harpeth Towing would be there in 20-75 minutes. Harpeth Towing called to confirm my car had front wheel drive and said 75 minutes. I called AAA after 75 minutes and was told they were on their way and would be there in 30 minutes. I called AAA after another 30 minutes and was told they were on their way. When truck finally arrived they only had room for two passengers so I had to walk 35 minutes to next exit and wait for ride. Harpeth Towing seems to have been providing inaccurate information to AAA rather than admitting how busy they were so AAA could assign the tow to a company that could have been there quicker. read more

Via AAA, Harpeth was called out a couple of Sundays ago to come pick up my dad's old pick up truck. It was parked on an abandoned tennis court that was maybe 10 yards or less from the driveway. Tony B. shows up and already seemed unsure of himself for some reason since he had to drive on about 10 yards of grass to get to a big, flat slap of concrete (tennis court). For the record, it hasn't rained in weeks and it was VERY dry and the surface was VERY hard. He then went on to say he has only been on the job for a little over a year and I knew I was trouble. I told him I've been towed in a LOT of more precarious positions than THIS. Interesting. Long story short, he ends up calling his dispatcher and who knows what he whined about, but someone called me from their office (I believe it was Jon actually), and said they had to cancel the order b/c basically... if they have to drive ANY distance OFF a road or driveway, they can't tow an auto/truck. WOW. So who DOES have the kahoonas in Franklin to actually, ya know... drive off a driveway a few yards?... Heithcock Towing. Spoke to Shannon. We had a good laugh... he comes out in about 45 minutes with BIGGER truck for the record... picks up the truck and drives off NO PROBLEM. I even used my Firestone Platinum membership to pay for it. It was raining hard with little visibility. I accidentally scuffed my tire on a curb and was left with a flat. I googled the closest towing service and Harpeth popped up first. I called and the woman who answered was friendly and understanding. She told me the tow truck would be there within 30-45 minutes. The tow truck showed up in less than 15 minutes and the driver was friendly, respectful and very careful with my vehicle. These guys towed my friends 30-foot RV tore the whole front end off of the front of it causing thousands of dollars worth of damage then dropped it in a driveway with trees on either side where he himself cannot get his tow truck out and now he's claiming that we're holding him against his will and he's calling the police lol this company is crazy read more

Over a year ago my car crashed and I needed a tow. I had to rifle through the glove box to get my insurance info and left the contents spilled in the passenger seat. The car was transported from Wilson Pike around 4:45PM to Rhea Little's shop about half a mile away several minutes later. In that time, a money clip given to me by my recently deceased father containing $100 cash went missing. I went to Harpeth Towing's office on Alpha Drive and spoke to an assistant manager who took my name and information and promised me he would contact me. He never did and nothing was ever recovered. These people are scumbags and thieves and will cover up and protect each other however they can. Do not use their business. read more

I never actually used the service but they were looking for a car up for repo and instead of looking for the right car tried to repo my sister's car. My sister drives a teal Chevy Malibu and the car was looking for was a black Nissan and he tried to take my sister's car anyway. He made my sister fall outside after I dropped her off after she lost her baby and had a c-section and when I called his boss he lied and said she ran out side and attacked him. Wow, I just called asking if the driver was close by as I had a time frame of 3-5pm and the lady that answered was incredibly rude, said the driver wouldn't be here until closer to 6 which won't work as the service station I am having to towed to closes at 6. She responded with have a nice day and hung up on me. I am very upset right now as this puts everything a day behind and had I received a call letting me know the time frame had changed I would have gone with another company. In response to Jon C.'s attempt to dispute my review, there are a few facts that you seemed to overlook. My review had nothing to do with WHY the vehicle was repossessed nor did I argue that payment was behind. (Clearly you overlooked the first paragraph or reading comprehension just isn't your strong suit) The one and only issue is that my vehicle was returned to me damaged. Plain and simple. I've yet to be contacted directly by anyone regarding this, yet your company can respond to reviews online? Your company also DID IN FACT have the keys to the vehicle, they were given to the tow truck driver by my wife the day the vehicle was repossessed. The entire interaction was also recorded by my wife, and your driver can clearly be heard thanking her for the keys. Your company's overuse of the term "disgruntled former employee" is nothing more than a desperate attempt to avoid addressing the issue which is simply the damage to my vehicle. A vehicle that runs just fine does not magically blow an engine in 4 days if it was just sitting on a tow truck as you claim, nor does the oil drain itself from the vehicle. Instead of throwing insults like a petulant child, why don't you address the real issue. read more

My vehicle wouldn't start, AAA sent this company finally got it to the dealership and he shut off his truck, knowing he couldn't restart it. 2 hours later, someone came out, started his truck so he could offload my vehicle. I hope to never have to deal with Harpeth again and I wish that I could review them at a negative 5. It is challenging to even write this review without use of profanity after what I had to deal with today. Oh yeah, and I wouldn't be surprised if the previous reviews weren't written by the employees themselves. The 'service' I had today had to hands down has been the most AWFUL service I've ever endured with a towing company. Please allow me to paint the picture for you: around 10:15 AM I attempt to start my car and it wouldn't turn over. I try a few more times and realize that it's just not going to happen. I then call AAA who advised me that Harpeth would be the ones in route to take care of me within an hr. Six minutes later I receive a call from a young lady from Harpeth confirming that she had received the order from AAA to tow my car and repeating that it would take about and hour to get to me. Ok, cool I can wait. Time passes and actually passes the one hour time frame. can you believe that no one even bothered to contact me and update me on what's going on? And did I mention that it is hot outside? Yeah like 82 degrees (but felt like 90-100) and I did not have access to just go in and cool off. I call Harpeth back directly and spoke with Kris and asked her calmly if someone was in route to tow me since it was now beyond an hour. She advised me that the driver was in Spring Hill (20 mins from my location) but on his way to me. This was at 11:36 AM. She apologized and told me how crazy things were and although I was now a little annoyed I said ok and patiently waited more. Time passes and now It now it is around 12:15 and the heat seemed to get a little more aggressive. Still no call from Harpeth who should have been towed me home nor AAA letting me know what on earth is going on. At this point I'd had enough and called AAA and spoke with a supervisor. I begged the sup to PLEASE have another company send out a driver. While I was on the phone with AAA, my significant other called back to Harpeth and spoke with Kris again to check the status of our tow truck.This time Kris was very rude and nonchalant about our situation. She said that our call is not an emergency, complained about how the phones are ringing off the hook and in addition to that said that we had to wait ANOTHER hour! When were we going to know that?? AAA apologized to me because they were not aware that I had been waiting that long due to Harpeth not following the processes. I was advised by an AAA rep that when a towing company has an additional hour wait time, they are to notify thEm so that other arrangements can be made. Instead, Harpeths employees had been going into the system and had changed their ETA 3 times and without even notifying myself or AAA. The rep told me how serious they take these actions and I HOPE they don't use this company any longer. Steer clear of this company. That's the best advice that I can give after having to deal with this nightmare today. read more

This service was called by my insurance carrier to tow my car. When the driver called he asked where my car was I told him in the parking lot and he informed me there was a thousand cars in the lot (not true), I left word with my insurance company that I had to work and would come (from the office building across the street) when the tow truck arrived. Well the driver kept arguing with me about how many cars were in the parking lot. I told him I have a blue convertible Saab and I'm pretty sure there weren't a thousand of them in the lot. I finally said "Excuse me sir butI thought I would show you the car when I arrived." Well, when I got there 3 minutes later he was smiiling saying he had an emergency call and had to leave. I called the company when I got back to the office and was told by the dispatcher that I said I would get there when I got there. He lied and the dispatcher lied too, saying he had called several times. My call log on my phone proves that wasn't true. So he left not because he had an emergency but because he was trying to inconvenience me. I work in an office with 25 people in the area and they heard the conversation and knew that the driver lied and they have stated they will NOT BE USING A SERVICE WHERE THE EMPLOYEES GO OUT OF THEIR WAY TO INCONVENIENCE THE CUSTOMER! Keep up the good work Harpeth, I can guarantee you no one in this office (we have over 200 employee total) will be using your service. I'm pretty sure you feel you do not need the business but you never know. read more
