It looks beautiful and they let me work with them on specific porch details we flushed out along the way... which was key for me. He walked me through all of the steps and did not pressure us into anything.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We evaluated multiple other roofing companies but their prices were 10% higher on average than Genuine Texas Exteriors. I felt confident with Michael so we decided to move forward. The only hesitation was that we have solar panels and they contract out the solar panel removal and reinstallation. Pros: Competitive pricing Quick installation (roughly 2 weeks to start the job) Friendly service The roof looks great and seems to be done well. No leaks so far that we can tell and it's been about 6 months. Cons: The outsourced solar panel company damaged one of our gutters. Michael did compensate us for the damage but only after I brought it up and asked for a resolution. The clean up was not as thorough as expected. We continue to find roofing nails in our backyard. Highly recommend doing multiple sweeps after they leave if you have dogs. Michael used spray paint on the metal flashing to make it blend with the shingles. Unfortunately he did not tape off the area and so he got black spray paint on the stucco of our light yellow/orange house. Michael was able to quickly schedule his install team, so I wasn't waiting weeks like a few of my neighbors for the install to begin. I had received three different quotes for a new roof. So, when I needed my roof replaced in 2024 I asked him for his recommendation. So glad I did. By using Genuine Texas Exteriors I was able to save time in vetting and sitting through long lengthy sale pitches with other companies. My 5 star review is based on the following: 1) Integrity. The product, quality and craftsmanship they advertise was exactly what they delivered. Everything they told me that would be done and the time frame that it would be done in was accomplished. 2) Communication. Samantha Cochrane, my Project Coordinator, asked me questions and listened to what I wanted to get accomplished with the roof. She also communicated with me every step of the way what was coming next and what needed to be done next. 3) Quality. Genuine Texas Exteriors, being an certified installer for Malarkey Roofing Group, I was able to get a quality product with a lot of additional upgrades for free. 4) Installation. Approximately 3200 square feet of roof surface, that also had many variations of pitch, was completed in one day. The crew was very friendly, very efficient and very concerned with making sure they left the property better than when they came. While walking the perimeter for their cleanup they also took extra time to blow off the leaves from my back porch and make sure my driveway was taken care of also. In the following days after installation I did not find a single nail or any scrap pieces of roofing material. 5) Professionalism.
