The technician arrived and advised me to replace some bolts which should fix the pro lem. If not then purchasing a new unit would be the next step. We did as advised and it still didn't work- forcing us to buy a new washing machine. After purchasing and installing the new unit- we discovered the bolts he advised us to replace were in fact the shipping bolts. I would hope that a technician coming to assess a piece of equipment, given the model number/year of the machine in advance would be able to identify what SHIPPING BOLTS were. After explaining this to the manager they refused to refund the $50 fee for the error on his technicians part. Your better off going on YouTube to find a solution rather than calling their inexperienced technicians. The manager blamed us for the mistake in the end which only made the situation worse.

I arranged for 3 quotes and the first company came and found all kinds of issues and safety hazards that were quoted around $17k to fix. A second company gave me a quote via text and then Julian from Harper's had given me an estimate over the phone but agreed to come out in person to take a look double checking that first estimate of work we got from the other guys. When Julian saw the main concern with our box, he quickly and simply stripped a wire and fixed it while explaining to my husband what was happening. Then he did a walk through and suggested things we need to do to make our home safe. My husband instantly feels comfortable with Julian and crew and we are excited to book them for the install. I am closing out my "project" search here on Yelp and wanted to give them credit for scoring our business. I liked that he was pretty transparent from the get go on all the variables that could affect the price of the job, i.e. height of the ceiling, weight of the light fixture, and more. Not only was he available the next day and super speedy in his response, Doug did a fantastic and thorough job installing my new chandelier. You can tell he takes a lot of pride in his work and wants to ensure it's perfect. He even measured the newly installed light several times to be sure it was even from every angle. I think it's probably a good quality to be a perfectionist when it comes to installing electrical devices, don't you? He even discarded the box the new chandelier came in and happily moved the old one to my garage. The whole process only took an hour and he was so courteous and professional, too. I'll need some more work done soon and will definitely be calling Windy Hill.

It was Saturday morning on Memorial Holiday weekend and I went to Yelp. Several places were "closed" and I happened upon Windy Hill; they were open. I called...and Doug answered! I explained my situation and I heard a sigh, followed by, "Unfortunately I'm booked up for today and through next Tuesday." I asked if he knew anyone else. He said not off the top of his head since it was the holiday weekend. He then asked what my problem was. I explained and, after a pause, he asked where I lived. I said Cedar Park. Another pause. He said give him a couple of hours and he'll try to come round later. Doug called back two hours later, saying he was done with his appointments, and asked if I still needed help. I did. I'm a landlord, only visiting for the weekend, and couldn't leave the house like this - the tenants couldn't get in or out. Doug said he'd be there in 20 mins. He was. He quickly diagnosed the problem (amateur-hour on my part!!) and fixed it within an hour. He could have gouged me on the pricing, due to my circumstances, but I felt his price was reasonable. I was/am very grateful to Doug - he put himself out to help a fellow person in distress, and this is the kind of service I love to see.
