Unfortunately recently there has been a revolving door of new cadre of dentists and the quality of care and the office experience has significantly declined. One dentist redid a bonding but it looked so terrible I to go elsewhere to get it redone. The office management kept spamming me to make an appointment but then the only availability five months out. They also recently started pushing more unnecessary services, which is expected but still irritating. I will give them credit for not lying about having cavities, which has happened at other dental practices. It is hard to find a good dentist in this area and until a year ago I loved my experiences with this practice. But sadly this is no longer the case and I can't recommend this dental practice.

I have been going to this dental office my entire life (28 years) i had a lapse in care due to…read moreloosing insurance and when i got new insurance i went to resume my care of getting some cavities filled. Once i returned i happened to be pregnant and had gotten a letter from my OB stating that the dental work was perfectly safe and actually recommended because of the risk of preterm labor leaving dental decay worsening. Dr. Jackson REFUSED to do any dental work unless i was in actual pain. Despite the letter and my own concerns about the MANY cavities that need to be filled Dr. Jackson was rude and disrespectful to my situation, leaving me in a worse position than i came in. The hygienist and receptionist were nice and actually treat people well but Dr. Jackson is rude, arrogant and not taking any of the patients concerns into consideration. Edit: (additions) I was told that "you have many problems and have had these cavities for a long time now, waiting a couple more months won't hurt" Literally any simple google search and the ADA website states that dental work during pregnancy is not only safe, it is recommended and that pre formed cavities can, and will, get worse and can lead to preterm labor. Dr Jackson was rude and arrogant throughout the entire appointment. Prior to this i have had a couple other negative interactions with Dr. Jackson. He also messed up a few of my fillings, leading to staining on my front teeth and refused to take accountability, when other dentists have told me the work was sloppy and not done correctly which is why there is staining. I brush twice a day like i have been told and floss, some people just have bad teeth and need help. Dr. Jackson continues to judge and look down on his patients.

So I paid the out of pocket of $350 and did the cleaning. Two months later they said the insurance actually won't cover it and I owe another $550. Typically there is more transparency if you're taking a gamble with the insurance company and you may have to pay more. The insurance company denied the claim because there was no evidence of the cleaning needed....so why was it presented to me as critical? It's beyond frustrating to put your trust in a new medical professional and then feel like you're oversold for them to make a profit from either the insurance company or the patient individually.
