Despite the competition with others nearby, it's busy day and night and while I'm not a big fan of fish and chips, they do serve very nice mushy peas, and I am told that the chips are very good. It's very reasonably priced and you don't have to wait long for your order. It's a little far from the beach to enjoy a real seaside feast but it's only a short stroll from two local parks.

The regular fish and chips kind of food is pretty average,I used to get the chip and onion gravy which was nice. The chippy is run by a married couple with the wife as front of house and husband doing the more exotic food cooking in the back.They have decorated with a green and white theme.It has always been clean and tidy when i have gone in there. Just brought a "Mixed Meat Chow Mein". It was well prepared, presented and very tasty, in-line with the chippy's regular supply. The ratio of meat / noodle & veg. however was disproportionate (not enough meat!!). I would have preferred to pay £4.80, rather than £5.90 with this consideration in mind. Hopefully, honest regular customer feedback might help management reassess this particular dish with regard to the ingredient's proportions. I do recommend this chippy to friends, but feel I have to include my own experiences which I believe qualify the recommendation.
