Some pieces were comic book like paintings. Others looked gothic. Even a few seemed a little disturbing. But, it was nice because it was a quick look around, and then you're on your way. No one working at the Amazon site stopped us to ask us what we were doing there. I think they see a lot of people come by just to appreciate the artwork on their business' walls. This isn't a place that is often advertised as something people should see, but I think it should be on everyone's itinerary when visiting Houston. The other bonus is that it's rarely ever crowded. On the weekends, this part of town is in brunch mode but it's a quiet place and perfect for the casual tourist, the ever loving art fan, or just someone looking to diversify their social media feed. I'm not sure who keeps up with the park but when I was there there were several tiles falling off and on the ground. I know some people are just shitty people and like to pick at things and take what they feel they are entitled to so I don't think its all the grounds keepers fault.

I didn't see a designated parking area and so I parked on the right side, it's located on a packed street with houses on the left side. I had fun at this place!

I read that the graffiti keeps changing with artists using it as an open gallery and lots of walls in and around have art on them, but the area needs to become something more clean ( a lottt more clean and inviting) and more... how do I put it, lets just say I would not venture there alone. Located in EaDo along Polk St, the "We Love Houston" sign is as iconic as it is touristy. The only thing required is a camera and some halfway decent lighting. Daytime is ideal for obvious reasons, but I think the mid-afternoon point is a good time where the light isn't too harsh and the transition to sun down makes for a cool effect. The sign is more than just the words, "We Love Houston" on it. With the right angle, the city's skyline is perfectly lined up with the letters and this is why it becomes the most ideal photo-op. EaDo is already the destination for graffiti art touring, this is really the ultimate bonus. The landmark is located right next to 8th Wonder Brewery (#1) in the backyard. India is finding a way for both society and animals to not only coexist and survive, but thrive together. In the last three decades, the population has doubled in India, but that is also true for many animals. Remarkably, the population of elephants, rhinos, lions and tigers has also doubled. The elephants in this migration are made of lantana camara. Lantana camara is an invasive weed. A creative use of something invasive to create community unity, teach others about elephants and clear the weeds to make more room for the elephants to roam while making something so impressive and educational. I regret not going sooner. The weather was great, a little cooler. Ok no it was still hot but felt ok. There were many vendors and for a free concert and dancing outside, discovery green crosses off a lot of boxes. Check them out if you have never been. There was plenty of seating whether you want to be near the stage or at the tables, they have benches and plenty of green space. Great for kids and ok to bring pets. I parked on the street for no charge since I waited until after 6pm. Check out their schedule of events. Can't go wrong.

I most appreciated the logistics of the space -- ample parking, well-maintained bathrooms, working A/C, clear indicators of where all the booths were located, and even clear annoucements letting us know when the mechanical bull was ready to be challenged! The subtle interior design was a mix of an industrial concrete playgrounds meets adult Nickelodeon with fun, frenzy galore and highlighting community artists generously. I am so happy I finally got around to visiting and look forward to returning to attend one of their community workshop classes!

I want to say it was some sort of doll show or art show I can't remember. It was years ago. Probably 35 years ago if I had to be exact. We're here we are again. On a cold winter day me and my girlfriend decided to to come check out the orange show. I'm glad we did. It's a very unique place. Lots of cool looking art. One of a kind. You gotta love Houston for stuff like this. Kind of gives you just that nostalgia feeling. I can't remember how long ago this was made but it's pretty old. I believe this is some sort of historical home now. Or a free exhibit for the community I can't remember actually but if you never been here before I highly recommend you come by and stop by and see it. Houston history.
