I was at Elmhust hospital in Queens first and they did not want to operate on me because it was too much of a high risk surgery and they sent me home and hoped for the best. Dr Rochman performed surgery on me at St. Joseph Hospital in Bethpage Long Island, NY, he operated on me three times to save my life and he never gave up on me, even when the hospital decided I should go to hospice, he still insisted I can be saved and he did save my life. Everybody at St. Joseph's who knew about my case will say that Dr. Rochman saved your life and he would not give up on you. They say Dr. Rockman did what other surgeons were scared of doing, he operated on me and even when the recovery was very difficult he knew he could save me and he did it. He operated on me a total of six times, he preformed a jejunostomy proximal, jejunostomy distance, illeonostomy and colostomy, I had four tubes attached to my abdominal are all at once , I was relaly very sick, one by one He closed the ostomies and the las one was the colostomy that took little over a year to be closed. Dr. Rochman didn't even charge for the last two surgeries. This person is the best and kindest and caring human that God has placed on this earth, right now my eye are tearing for the gratitude to him. About a year and a half ago, I was recommended by a friend to go see Dr. Luis Fandos at the New York Pain Consultants. I like his approach to things because he listens with an open mind and is able to merge conventional medicine with holistic approaches. He put me on a regimen that included an inflammation reducing diet along with exercise and some special stretches. I can say that without a doubt the pain is gone. I chose the practice b/c my FIL has been seeing Dr. Waqaas A. Quraishi for ESIs for many years. During our first consultation, he spoke only to my husband while ignoring me. During that visit, I told him there was only one pain med I couldn't take because it made me so ill I couldn't eat, and it made me suicidal. After the first injection, I went to my CVS and found that he had prescribed that exact med. I called the office and was told there is no note about it in the file. He changed it to Gabapentin but was doling them out 14 at a time for me to take at bedtime. After the second injection, I called and left messages for Kathleen, his chirpy assistant who said, " Here's my direct line, call me anytime" for three days in a row. Crickets. On the fourth day, I called the receptionist and told her that if it was not taken care of immediately, I would show up in the waiting room and make a scene. Twenty minutes later, I got a call that it was done. When I found a new pain management doctor yesterday, he immediately diagnosed bursitis in my hip and offered to do the procedure then and there. I asked him about refilling my Gabapentin, he said, "Sure. Three times a day, right?" I was stunned that I could take it during the day as needed.
