The staff consistently go the extra mile to make sure you're comfortable and well taken care of. Whether it's helping you find your way around, taking extra time to explain your situation, or simply checking in to see how you're doing, everyone is incredibly kind, accommodating, and supportive. Although this building is a bit distant and located right next to a large body of water, it's worth the trip. This facility is huge, clean, and filled with the most incredible staff. Everyone you encounter here is willing and able to help with any questions & concerns you may have. Although the facility is 6 1/12 years old, it's filled with the latest technology to assist with various cancer care treatments. The clinicians here are knowledgeable and will rest assure that they do anything they can for you loved one with cancer. I was here recently to make a purchase from the gift shop on the ground floor. I have had the worst traumatic experience with this rigid oncologist at MSK. I am being treated…read morefor a breast cancer recurrence at MSK and was taking estrogen blockers to lower the risk of a recurrence. They are universally experienced as brutal by most. You need an oncologist who will work with you, has a flexible attitude, is open to your ideas. Dr. Abuhadra is not open to your ideas, not flexible, very very rigid. Her favorite often used phrase in always shooting down my ideas was "not regulation based." Dr. Abuhadra will smother you with false charm, even hug you (!), make false claims of "working together." But don't be taken in as she is incredibly, unnecessarily RIGID. Your ideas, researched or not, will be shot down as they don't meet the black and white censor of her attitude. Any ideas I learned of, found in enabling me to tolerate the estrogen blockers, were shot down by this person. Yeah, she talks a good game, but the brutal reality is SHOCKING. Your ideas are subject to her totalitarian desire to please the powers that be, not to care for you. At first I thought, this charming woman can't possibly be so uncaring, rigid. But yes she was, over and over and over. I have an appointment to see a new oncologist outside of MSK and I have no idea how people can give Abuhadra the tiniest vote of approval.
