I do not say this lightly, as many galleries are staffed with ridiculous, pretentious employees who treat me like I'm an alien life form if I ask anything at all, even if it's just directions to the nearest restroom. The staff here are always helpful, approachable and knowledgable about the art they show, particularly gallery directors Rachel and Renee, and it is evident that they maintain intimate relationships with their impressive roster of superstar photographers, many of whom have been with the gallery since it started. The new space is enormous, well-lit and truly a showcase for anyone lucky enough to have a show on its walls. Bravo. Some personal favorites to see works of here include Richard Renaldi and Matthew Pillsbury. Run, don't walk.

Make an appointment to go, ring the buzzer at the entrance to what looks like a private mansion, and enter past two doors to see interesting, well-curated exhibitions that are bound to make you think. Head upstairs for more art in two well-lit, spacious rooms. They also invite great thinkers like Baudrillard and Badiou to give lectures in one of their upstairs rooms, most of which are greatly oversubscribed. I was here for a Badiou lecture recently, and although the gallery staff had some unnecessary trouble setting up (who puts a video camera at eye level in the middle of the chairs?), the lecture turned out to be amazing - erudite, fun, and stimulating. People (everyone from students to elderly Europeans) sat on the floor, stood in the corners, and generally overwhelmed the room. Jack Tilton, who you can find running around the gallery on any given day, has created one of the loveliest and most enjoyable art spaces I've ever seen outside of Chelsea. How can you not like a place that'll bring Badiou, Baudrillard, and Zizek to the public for free?

I viewed their "Horrorpilation" series. I didn't even know that was a real word, but yes! it is! And the subject matter here was perfect . . . creepy, unsettling, otherworldly. The gallery is wide, open. And honestly, it's lit better than any gallery I've ever seen. So often galleries have glaring lights that make it difficult to view or take photos of works. This setup was perfect. The wall colors were also amazing. Moody, dark, luscious. Perfect accompaniment to the artworks. The colors, the artwork, the lighting . . . this was so well thought out. I know The Hole is one of my new go-to galleries.

These are some of the exhibitions that were formerly on display: Mantua Nangala & Yukultji Napangati: The artists' abstract works of art represent a description of the the' homeland and indigenous life. The appearance of these portraits kind of reminds me of a persian rug, but it's still pretty neat. Matthew Krishanu: Falling Into Place: The setting of these paintings is in South Asia. There is a variety of banyan trees and religious figures. Jaiik Lee: Still In Flux: The vessels are painted in a variety of porcelain colors. The physical appearance of these jars are identical to hot air balloons and the vessel at Hudson Yards. Soull & Dynasty Ogun: KODE: Yes I Do: As you enter this parlor, immerse yourself in a unique clothing line, furniture, and a table aligned with glittering jewelry. Each exhibit is assigned a QR code. Simply scan the code to acquire more information about these exhibitions. The first floor and second are currently shucks & aww where functional objects are infused with humor and visual wit, where context and function meet. Where the second floor presents and represents the mundane to be extraordinary. And the show stopper- the golden rain drops, each suspended making a fantasy look. The 3rd floor had three different artist presented coherently together, probably what I liked best about the gallery, the whole room was collective. Can't wait to see what the next installations will look like in this beautiful space.

The fee was only revealed at the final step after I had already invested significant time completing the submission. This created the impression of a bait-and-switch or drip pricing structure, where material cost information was not clearly presented upfront, resulting in applicants proceeding through a lengthy submission process without full awareness of the financial requirement. I spent a significant amount of time completing the application under the assumption that all key participation requirements, including fees, would be clearly disclosed at the outset. This lack of upfront transparency led to unnecessary time expenditure and confusion regarding the true cost of participation. I am requesting improved disclosure practices so that all mandatory fees are clearly and prominently stated at the beginning of the application process before users are required to invest time or submit materials. I am also requesting deletion of my submitted materials and personal information from their system and confirmation that this has been completed.
