    This Clairemont Mesa version of George's Camera is North Park's version on steroids! I have been a customer of the North Park George's Camera shop for a good number of years but became familiar with Clairemont Mesa's George's Camera because I signed up for two photography classes over the last two months, BOTH of which I absolutely LOVED! Until April of this year, I never had a need to visit this shop. I always enjoyed the crew at North Park and have bought items from them for my camera and other accessories. But I can tell my readers that if you want to see more options than what the North Park shop offers, Then get out to the Clairemont Mesa store. Aside from the large offering of new cameras, lenses, multiple sizes and brands of camera bags (I've bought two from George's, as I love the Tenba brand), straps, a large rental display, among other many accessories too many to count! But today was Photography 202 class. I had attended the 2-hour Photography 101 in April and found it to be an outstanding course. This class mainly teaches you about your DSLR or mirrorless camera from the raw basics. It serves as a stellar foundational class to what you'll get in Photography 202, in which you'll spend a good deal of time shooting photos from your learning experience in this 3-hour course. These classes do come with a fee, but they are totally worth it if you wish to learn your camera or make photography a hobby. For me, I mainly use my Canon M-50 for YouTube videos that I create, but decided that it was time to learn the photo side of things since it takes such good photos. Well, I must thank our above-board excellent instructor, Larry McDaniel, for giving those of us who attended the 202 class today an amazing and totally worthwhile learning experience! I'll need other photography accessories and surely more classes in the days ahead. Be assured! I know exactly where I'll be going find my gear and to take my photography classes!! Recommend: VERY HIGH

    A small shop that sells electronic components!…read more When I was looking for "electronics stores" THIS is what I was looking for, not BestBuy. Upon walking in for my first time, the staff greeted me from behind the register. After looking at all the supplies, modules, and parts that were for sale, I felt like a kid in a candy shop! I've never seen a store quite like this and I was very excited. The shelves looked like my Amazon purchase history, although I had to restrain myself a bit to avoid upsetting the wife with my shopping spree. I was originally looking for multimeter fuse, sadly they didn't have the size I needed. The staff was extremely friendly and even gave me recommendations on where else I could go to find the fuse. The prices of everything else were extremely fair and would be comparable to being the same, or less than prices you would find online. Willy's is now my go-to for anything electric that I'm doing!

Checked out their website, then gave them a call about cleaning up my Mac before my vacation. I put it off to the last minute and wasn't sure they could help. Luckily, they could help me, and the rush fee was $100. I love that fact they picked up the phone and it wasn't some dead doornail employee who could care less about my computer issue. Chris, the owner, actually answered the phone. He said to bring it down. I came in that same day and he told me they would: clean it up, install new OS, remove junk, and speed it up overall. He quoted me end of the week, but it was ready sooner, so happy about because it would be ready for vacation. Total came out to about $430 with the rush fee. It's been about 6 weeks now and my computer is running amazing, so fast! They also have refurbished Macs for sale, which I'll be back for when my current computer stops working. Instead, I found the TV I wanted, received great service, and decided to purchase in-store and buy the Best Buy Protection plan for my $4,500+ TV. Fast forward 18 months, and the screen developed some unusual wear. It didn't affect the picture, but it was noticeable on dark scenes. I figured I'd see what Best Buy had to say. From start to finish, the experience was incredible: Justin in Geek Squad genuinely cared about helping me and made the process easy. Carla, the Geek Squad technician, was knowledgeable, professional, and confirmed the issue was covered. Within hours, my claim was approved. I then worked with Stephen from the Audio/Video team, who went above and beyond to find the replacement TV I wanted, even though it wasn't in stock. Ryan, the Assistant Store Manager, also took the time to answer my questions and made sure everything was taken care of. Great teams are built from the top, down and it shows. In the end, I received the newer model of my TV and even got about $500 back in store credit because of the price difference. I honestly couldn't be more impressed. This experience has truly changed my opinion of buying big-ticket electronics in-store. I'll absolutely be purchasing them from Best Buy going forward, and I'll always add the Protection plan. Outstanding customer service all around, thank you to the entire Best Buy Mission Valley team!

I had an absolutely nightmarish experience regarding the delivery, and installation/haul-away of a refrigerator. I had originally scheduled the delivery of a new fridge on a Monday between 11-3, not a big deal seeing as the fridge was purchased on a Friday. Well, needless to say that didn't work out at all. Why you ask? Well, it starts with BestBuy contracting w/local non-affiliated delivery companies. Delivery drivers and companies that have zero fcuks to give. So much so that they fail to call regarding arrival, follow delivery instructions, or barely make an effort to attempt to make contact with a human being. Then they bail. Forget trying to get ahold of a human when you call customer service b/c it doesn't exist. Everything gets routed thru a queue, a chat agent, or an automated text bot. When you finally get a response it's nothing more than a bunch of canned excuses and a reschedule for delivery 2x days later, including another delivery window, this time it's 3-7. Come on. Well, now it's Wednesday and now I'm all about bubble stalking the delivery driver thru BestBuy's delivery web tracker, a small win if you can call it that. This time the driver actually calls and arrives on time. But that's where the good ends. The delivery clowns ask to enter the building and come and eye fcuk the old fridge. At first the main guy balks at the size of the current fridge and has size concerns about removing it and putting the new one in and has to call dispatch or whoever his taskmaster is. Now I'm starting to get a case of the ass. He comes back in and says he can't remove the old fridge. WTF?! Ok, I'll remove it and they can take it. Nope. All they can do is leave the new one. Again, WTF?! I paid for delivery/installation/haul away. They call dispatch again, I'm getting madder. They now say Geek Squad has to come and finish the installation and haul the old fridge away. Umm... a total lie/fabrication. Then they just bail. Well, now it's all about trying to contact customer service again for someone else to come out and un-ass their grand fcuk up. Unbelievable!!! Now I have to wait until Friday where some asshat from BestBuy will show up between 7-7 and fix this clusterfcuk of a gigantic mess. Long story short, don't shop at BestBuy!!! The company plainly doesn't care about customer service anymore. Terrible value for your money. Save it and go to a smaller retailer or a mom and pop shop. P.S. I ended up swapping out the old/new fridge myself, including connecting the water for the dispenser/ice maker. Shocking.
