After moving back here in 2010, it took many years to find a dry cleaner that met my needs. FINALLY I found Georgetown Cleaners on Williams Drive in Georgetown. They are not only friendly and welcoming, but are efficient and affordable. Other dry cleaners, the big names in particular, are so much more expensive!! And why? They perform the same exact services, why such a higher cost? Georgetown Cleaners is the BEST. You should give them a try.. You won't be disappointed. I took 3 polo shirts and 7 pairs of pants to have laundered and pressed. Asked for my shirts to be folded because I am going on a trip. After the sticker shock off nearly $90, I got home and my "folded" shirts were slung over a hanger and we're even straight. Two have a crease across the front where they were hung crooked. What a disappointment. I used to take stuff here when I was working and they were reasonable and did a pretty good job. Will never go back again. Way too expensive and the end product was horrible. read more

The past two times I've picked up my clothes have come back "dry cleaned" smelling awful - like mildew and sweat - very disgusting. I've spent thousands of dollars here and I'm switching ASAP. Yuck! read more

In late June, I took my comforter in for wash and dry service. I also took in some men's shirts the next week for ironing. When we went to get the items we were told the shirts were ready but not the comforter. The girl ran to the back and returned with a comforter in an untagged bag. She couldn't confirm if it was ours. We took the shirts. The entire month of July I have been calling this business constantly with no answer to check on the status of my comforter. Today I finally get an answer from the the business and the employee who answered the phone, sounded like she was in a hurry. She was sassy, rude and kept interrupting me while I was trying to talk and told me that our comforter had been ready for over a month . I asked her why didn't she call us and tell us, she said we don't call customers and tell them when their orders are ready it is on the receipt when they bring their items in . It is true. They do give you a date on your receipt when you take the items in, however in this instance, our item was not ready when they told us it would be. I asked her how much is the cost for our comforter, she responded so fast I didn't understand what she said. Up until now I have always received very nice respectable service from this place but after today, we will no longer be using this particular cleaners for any of our items. read more

Many problems! Clothes were to be ready last Tuesday per my receipt so went Wednesday morning to get them. We were told they would be ready after 3 pm so I said ok and went back at 3:30. Now told not ready, and they are closed Thursday and Friday. Now today, Monday, drove back and still not ready. Don't go here if you need anything done timely read more

Up until this very moment, I would have given them three or four stars. They have increasingly grown more careless with their work. I gave them one last chance, and took clothes to them that I need for tomorrow. When I went by today, they were locked up with no sign on the door. When I tried to call, the number kept simply hanging up. I can safely say that, when I finally get my clothes from them, I will be done with them. read more

I have never had any problems with Georgetown Cleaners and have always had great service. My mother-in-law has owned a cleaners for 30 years so I am picky about cleaners and so far Georgetown Cleaners is the best in town. To illustrate the great service, I dropped off my shirts on a Thursday as I was leaving on Monday morning @ 6am for a business trip. Saturday about 5:30pm my wife mentioned my dry cleaning. I went to the shop immediately, but they were already closed. I went home and decided to call and leave a message on the off chance someone listened to it before Monday. I called at 7:30pm on a Saturday and Kevin answered the phone. I explained the situation (my forgetfulness...) and he said to come to the store and he would get me squared away. 10 minutes later I had my shirts and Georgetown Cleaners had a very loyal customer. read more

I've been a customer for a long time and they do an okay job. Today I dropped off my clothes and they were thrown on the floor. I asked Liza to please pick them up and she said "She would get to them when she could get to them." I waited for a few minutes to see if she would pick them up off the floor. The drive through door was open and there was a yard maintenance worker with his blower cleaning and I asked her again to please pick them up. She did not so I got out of my car and picked them up and placed them on the counter. I thought this was very unprofessional of her and perhaps I should try another cleaners. I will call to complain to the owner. read more

Very disappointing. My clothes were not available when they said & tried to push it off until the next day... That wasn't acceptable, as I needed my clothes for business the next morning. I requested my clothes back & it took them 20 minutes to find. The 2 shirts they had pressed, they stained & pressed massive wrinkles into them. I am so disappointed with their work, that I won't be back. read more
