I had a great "new patient" experience at Indy Smiles! I had purchased a Groupon for an exam,…read morex-rays, and the Zoom whitening procedure. The staff, both in the front office and during my procedures, were all courteous and friendly. They explained everything before they did it and educated me on products and treatment procedures without ever pressuring me to purchase anything. I didn't realize that the Groupon I had purchased didn't include a cleaning...but they were able to squeeze me in with the hygienist and provide that service as well! Since I don't have dental insurance and was paying out-of-pocket, they told me the cost of each thing up front. (Cleaning: $81 and Flouride: $18) At the end of my appointment, Dr. Llewellyn introduced himself to me and looked over my x-rays. He described himself as a "conservative" dentist and didn't recommend any major dental work. I'll continue to use Indy Smiles in the future and would recommend it to anyone needing dental services in Indy!

I absolutely appreciated the phone call that someone canceled. Dr. Nam was extremely personable, with a relaxed but educational demeanor. As someone who isn't a fan of the density, I appreciated the offering of music or Netflix as a distraction method from the procedure. One thing that was different than my previous dentist is that Dr. Nam didn't do my actual filling. She administered the numbing agents and then another person came in, placed and set the filling, and then Dr. Nam checked this. In my other experiences, the dentist always did the full procedure, so this struck me as slightly odd. Other than that, office is clean, staff is friendly, and both appointments took me nearly on time (within a 5-10 minute window) which I think is pretty good!
