Even…read morethough there are oral surgeons where I live and it was much farther for me to go to Haverhill, it was well worth the time and effort. I have had to have two teeth extracted. The first was while I was receiving chemotherapy and no one else wanted to touch a tooth that absolutely had to come out on someone in the middle of a lengthy chemo protocol. Not only did he do a fabulous job, but it healed well with no infection. Recently I broke another tooth in such a way, it could not be repaired. Once again, he was able to extract the tooth easily, painlessly, and quickly. Plus, he was able to fit me in very quickly. He and his staff are friendly, fun, personable, and highly skilled. They take their time with the local anesthesia so there is absolutely no pain. They explain everything, and they are very adept at what they do. I am terrified of dentists but they did a great job of reassuring someone who has a panic attack just walking in the door. Edited to add: I was recently sent a message by a reader who reported that he "wasn't buying my review" of Dr. Yadgood because I live in CA. He found it impossible to believe that I would have traveled from CA to MA for dental work. I was a lifelong resident of New England and lived on the North Shore of Massachusetts and just over the line in So. NH for the last 60 years. We relocated to California in September of 2014. I stand by this review and the quality of Dr. Yadgood's professional skill. Both of the procedures he performed on me were while we were living in Newburyport, MA.

My daughter went home and later that afternoon I got nervous regarding the amount of bleeding and they told us to come back and saw us immediately to look at her. She was fine and we went home and she healed without any issues whatsoever. Within days she was back to normal, she experienced minimal pain and had a very short recovery. I was referred by our family dentist to have my son's wisdom teeth looked at. We showed up and was…read moregiven a ton of paperwork to fill out and then waited forever to be seen. The dental assistant told us they are going to do a full mouth x ray. I asked if it was covered by my insurance since we were not sure if we were going to move forward with the procedure. She left and came back and said the consult and the x rays were both covered by my insurance. They quoted a very high amount after the "insurance discounts" that was over $3K. We did not move forward with them. I then received an invoice for $132 for the initial exam that I was told was covered. I called and they said it wasn't. I explained that I specifically asked if it was and was told it was and if it wasn't I wouldn't have had it done. They didn't care. I received another invoice that states if it is not paid, my account will be turned over for collection. This is unethical and I wouldn't trust this office. They billed $435 to our insurance provider, and the dentist saw my son for about 5 minutes and we owe $132. I would not recommend this office to anyone.

I figured I better get it fixed right, so after getting basic dental, I waited the six months and sought out someone to get it fixed. They took Delta Dental and were close so that is where I went. The wait was very short, less than five minutes on each visit. I found them very courteous and caring. My first appointment, they took full x-rays and cleaned my teeth. Dr. Michele Kalil did most of the work, aside from the x-rays themselves. She advised a crown, which was done over two other appointments. I found Dr. Kalil to be very pleasant and gentle (by Dentist standards). The staff was very friendly, exactly the opposite of Katie G. But Katie was seen in 2011 and a lot can change in 8+ years. I doubt their costs are much different than others in the area. I will be going back for cleanings. I highly recommend them.

Each time I waited 30+ minutes before I was seen. Most of the technicians are pompous and impolite. They told me I had a cavity, never showed me any x-rays, did the "cavity" and now that tooth bothers me more then it ever has. To add onto the experience I went to them specifically to get Invisilign. Dr. Kalil told me they could do everything I was looking for. My last month of Invisilign I was confused with the results I had and expressed to them that I was under another impression that my teeth would look different. They told me after 8 months of Invisilign that they couldn't do what I wanted without getting actual braces. I spent 1,500 on Invisilign just for my teeth to look almost the same as before. When I told them I wasn't pleased with the results and I felt I was taken advantage of they said, "You're just a perfectionist and sensitive. You're teeth looked good before we started invisilign." I feel as though I have been cheated by Windham Dental and wouldn't go back to them if you paid me.
