I was referred by our family dentist to have my son's wisdom teeth looked at. We showed up and was given a ton of paperwork to fill out and then waited forever to be seen. The dental assistant told us they are going to do a full mouth x ray. I asked if it was covered by my insurance since we were not sure if we were going to move forward with the procedure. She left and came back and said the consult and the x rays were both covered by my insurance. They quoted a very high amount after the "insurance discounts" that was over $3K. We did not move forward with them. I then received an invoice for $132 for the initial exam that I was told was covered. I called and they said it wasn't. I explained that I specifically asked if it was and was told it was and if it wasn't I wouldn't have had it done. They didn't care. I received another invoice that states if it is not paid, my account will be turned over for collection. This is unethical and I wouldn't trust this office. They billed $435 to our insurance provider, and the dentist saw my son for about 5 minutes and we owe $132. I would not recommend this office to anyone. read more

I am a thirteen year old former patient of doctor Malik. The way that he treated me AND my mother was appalling. We walked in for my oral surgery(of course our wait time was never less than 45 minutes) finally when we were taken back we waited for another fifteen minutes. The surgery did go well but two weeks later we went in for a check in because one of my stitches got infected and they never told my mom and I to come in if they did. So we wait ANOTHER 15 minutes just to be seen. Doctor Malik enters abruptly without a word. He holds my chin and lifts my head up roughly so I opened my mouth. He takes his finger and POKES my infection(which immediately makes me start crying because I was in so much pain) my mom tells him that it's hurting me and he ignores her. Without telling me he takes pliers and rips the stitch out of my mouth without warning. I start crying even more because one I wasn't warned, two I was already pissed off at him poking my stitch and three not communicating to the patient. After that my mom said: "you're hurting my daughter, cant you tell shes crying" He replies back in a very rude tone "I'm sorry you feel that way" EXCUSE ME?? Even more he starts mansplaining to my very intelligent mother what an infection is. My mom waited for him to finish mansplaining and replied back that she knew what an infection was and she didn't like how he was treating her daughter. He storms out and the nurse comes over to give me a gauze wrap to help the bleeding from the stitches. I say to the nurse" I don't like how he just treated my mom" She looks at me and ignores me. Safe to say we walked out and never came back. While the surgery did go well the bedside manner was the worst treatment I've ever experienced. I don't recommend this oral surgeon at all. I was charged way above average for my tooth extraction which I thought I was okay with because I thought they were professional and reputable recommended by friends but now I know they're just after peoples money. Both me and my fiancé went for a specific tooth we wanted checked out , during my fiancé's appointment we waited in the room 20 minutes for the doctor he came in and gave us a paper with options and answered a few of our questions. My fiancé is always willing to pay for what isn't covered by the insurance when he's leaving and they didn't ask for a thing on our way out. Months later he's now getting a bill for $285 for a "detailed evaluation" and it's complete bullshit, we sat there waiting for him and to find out their ridiculous prices and options and now my fiancé had to pay $285 for nothing! We will certainly be going elsewhere for my fiancé's surgery and other future oral surgeries we need. Congratulations granite state you lost what could have been a very loyal customer! read more

I cracked a molar and my dentist referred me here. I couldn't be happier with the outcome. The extraction and implant was difficult (not very straight-forward) due to the location of the tooth and root (according to my dentist and Dr Malik). It's a busy office though, so I had to wait a couple days for the initial consult appointment and then a couple more days for the extraction. I'm glad there was the initial consult. This procedure was more difficult than when I had my wisdom teeth removed by a military dentist years ago. The staff is amazing. They took the time to explain what was going on. In fact, as uncomfortable surgery (especially oral) can be, I miss the staff. (PS - Good luck Erica!). I can understand some of the comments about Dr Malik sometime being short, but realize that this is serious surgery. He's a nice guy and took the time to explain to me what was going to happen. read more

I did NOT have any operations done at this business place; but at my initial appointment I waited for over twenty minutes past the scheduled time. While I was waiting, a man came out of the exam room area screaming about how the doctor is always late, and randomly decided not to do his scheduled operation. This isn't exactly something that makes me want to have an operation done at this office. Today I went back to fill out some paper work and the secretary was on FaceTime with someone from outside of the office. This is probably a patient confidentiality violation, but needless to say I was not happy with what I saw, especially considering that she likely has free access to any patient records and was putting mine and other patients medical confidentiality in jeopardy. read more

They explain everything during the initial visit including the procedure to be done, post operative care, and coordination of benefits with insurance company. They are caring, compassionate, and gentle when it comes to removal of wisdom teeth. There were no surprise costs or additional procedures needed. Follow up was quick and painless. This Dentist is an A## Hole, I went thru hoops just for the appointment and then I arrive the next day, fill out his paper work and go sit in the Dentist Chair and wait, Finally the Rich Lazy Oral Surgeon comes in and makes fun of me and Ridiculed my Medication's, Now this guy did Nothing but Roast me for 10 Minutes, He ended up Drafting a Football size contract and said to come back in a day or 2. I left and got some Novocaine on line and ended up Successfully Removing the Tooth myself. This Dentist has some Big Balls he billed my Insurance company $260.00 and then sent me a bill for the remaining $50.00, I use his bills for Toilet Paper or I throw them out. Please don't go to this Surgeon, if his office comes up at your own dentist, For God Sakes request someone else. read more

My daughter had all 4 wisdom teeth out over Thanksgiving break, Dr. Malik and the whole staff was so great! Answered all our questions and put my daughters anxiety at ease. The procedure went well and my daughter had no swelling and only had to take ibuprofen/Tylenol for the discomfort. Her surgery was Monday morning and she was eating by the afternoon. We were very pleased with this office and highly recommend them. read more

HE DAMAGED MY NERVES AND SAID I WOULD GET USE TO LIVING WITH IT! I was referred to Dr Salman for wisdom teeth removal. They told me evaluation visit should have been covered by insurance, got a $100 bill for the visit saying I was not covered. At the same visit they talked me into getting a CT scan done to see my nerves locations so during the surgery there would be less chance of nerve damage. $375 out of pocket! Ended up with significant nerve damage anyway and can't go after him because I signed a form that doesn't allow me to. He told me I would get use to it or he could refer me for more surgery to fix the damage. Get use to nerve damage? Like it's a completely normal thing that happens after his surgeries? Yikes! Four months after the visit I get another bill from the surgery for $104 with no explanation of why I owe more money. They clearly don't know how to work with insurances if they keep having to bill the patients for their miscalculated estimates. As for professionalism, it's a serious, quiet atmosphere, nothing is explained well and I definitely feel like they just want to nickel and dime you. Save your wallets and do your research people. I was referred from Haas Dental, they will be hearing about my experience in hopes that they stop referring to this sketchy place. read more

I HATE the dentist and get anxiety just thinking about it but they were very knowledgeable and have a beautiful, relaxing, and clean office. I had Dr. Malik over winter break to get my wisdom teeth removed. He performed a great surgery and the staff was helpful but I had an awful experience. If you are someone who is afraid of needles and has never been put under for a surgery before, he is not a man that will comfort you. His bedside manner is horrible. He barged into the room without reintroducing himself, immediately grabbed my arm to put the IV in, I told him I was feeling very nervous and as he's poking around with the needle I let out a slight shriek. He then told me as the IV is already in my arm "There will be no screaming in my office, I will take this IV out right now, you're 19 and surgery will obviously hurt." I was so taken back by this reply and went into and walked out of the surgery crying. Overall, my mouth healed fine but he has awful bedside manner. Beware! I would give no stars if it were possible. This was the worst experience I have ever had from a provider. When I called the office to book the appointment, the person was very helpful and friendly. We arrived for the appointment and waited 45 minutes. I approached the receptionist as no one was providing us with an update. We were finally brought into an office and waited another 15 minutes. The dental helper took my daughter's blood pressure and removed the cuff from my daughter but she never shut off the blood pressure machine so my daughter and i were entertained for the next 15 minutes with the rising and falling of the cuff. I left the room to approach the receptionist and said we were going to leave and she immediately said "Oh, the dentist will be right in". He was...10 minutes later. When he came in, he was rushed and said at least 4 times that the wisdom teeth extraction could result in permanent nerve damage in my daughter's jaw. Now, I now he needs to outline the risk but something tells me this situation happened and now his insurance co. prompts him to say it multiple times. Office staff came in several times to interrupt the appointment and the dentist sent them off. He was with us probably 10 minutes. When we left - super unimpressed - the receptionist said I had to let her know about the surgery by the next day (we had held time in the high hopes he would be worthy of pulling wisdom teeth). I said "ok- I'll let you know". I walked out of the office checked in with my daughter who is 18; asked her what she thought and she said, "yeah, no He poked my mouth with the tool when he was looking at my teeth". If an 18 year old knows, be warned. Then to add insult to injury I got a bill for $174 which I paid and let them know I would be posting my experience - they wanted me to stay to be able to bill not because they have a higher calling to help people - for this dentist - who overbooks himself; its about money. I should have listened to my inner self and didn't. Learn from our mistake and find a provider who cares! read more

I was really pleased with my experience at Granite State Oral Surgery. All of the staff was very welcoming and made me feel comfortable at all times. Dr. Malik was very nice and helped me understand the procedure I was getting done. Him and his staff did an excellent job on my wisdom teeth removal and I experienced no pain during the surgery. During post-op when I was feeling pain, I called the office, and the secretary offered a few tips on how to ease the pain. They really care about the well being of the patients, and made wisdom teeth removal a little more bearable. read more

My son had his 4 wisdom teeth removed last week. I called for a consult and they were able to fit me in that afternoon and appt for extraction was only 2 days after that. No time to get to worked up about it. WIth the exception of having to wait too long in the waiting room (consult and extraction appt) I would go here again. We found the staff very nice. read more

I had 4 wisdom teeth removed at this office and couldn't of been more pleased with the care and attention I received. Aside from the beautifully designed office, The staff was friendly and welcoming, they truly make you feel 110% comfortable and ease any nerves you had walking in! They know what there going there dont get me wrong but the place was just all around terrible. They call me to reschedule my appointment from 915 in the morning to 815. Which was fine, i get there, fill out the info i needed, and it then took them well over an hour just to see the main doctor. I sat in the dental chair and waited and waited and waited. For him to come in, talk for 5 minutes about my teeth, then charge me 150 bucks for 10 minutes of his time after hes already taken up an hour and a half by this point, of mine. I got my teeth taken out and he tell me the best he can give me is Tylenol and ibuprofen for wisdom teeth removal. He tells me because of the heroin epidemic thats the best he can do when what he could have done is 5mg and 325mg of tylenol. I felt like he completely treated me different because i was open and honest about my marijuana use because of sleep issues. So if you go there, good luck. Your gonna need it. read more
