The teachers are incredible and loving. The kids are being taught to be kind and inclusive. There is rarely a dull moment for the kids at busy bees - at pickup my kid often asks me to please come back a little later! They have ballet, Zumba, karate, yoga, Spanish class, music class. Fridays are special pizza days, and they get to do show and tell. Right now, they're taking care of caterpillars, and we have to peak in the planter every morning to see if their flowers have started to grow yet. There's also a monthly Parent's Night Out where your kids will get dinner, snacks, playtime, and a movie while you get a date night. My son is also in the infants room. The teachers are so kind and loving to him. He has rarely ever cried at drop off and I get constant updates with pictures and videos in the app. They're always on the move with reading, playtime, drawing, outside time, snack time. Each kid is met where they're at and are still involved in the activities - from kids who can't sit yet to early walkers. I love walking down the stairs towards his room and I can hear him and his teacher having full blown 'conversations' before pickup. We are thrilled with Busy Bee's and would recommend it to anyone looking for quality daycare!

As he will be graduating this year, it very bittersweat for us. Whenever, he would talk about school he keeps telling me that he doesn't want to leave Busybees and will miss his teachers and friends. This daycare has given my son home outside of home and has given my family the best thing - the thought that you kid is in good hands while you are away. The way they treat children, the way they approach their education, health is top notch. They have sooo many great activities, they are so dilligent and caring. If you want to have the best for your child, you should definitely check out this daycare!

The staff is wonderful and has worked so hard to make the school and the programs better and better with each passing year. They are kind and clear and I've come to really enjoy seeing their smiling faces in the morning. The teachers my two sons have had have all been amazing, unique and passionate and when my children are with them, my mind is at ease. My older son - who has recently rejoined the school for "Summer Camp" with some of his buddies - did the kindergarten program last year as a Farmer with Mr. Juan and he went into his current school so well prepared in both reading and math that he was able to focus on the other huge changes that come with switching schools. I feel so lucky that my children have been able to start their educational journeys at this amazing place. Thank you!

I love Goddard's use of the Tadpoles app where I get daily pictures and updates about sleep and activities like the babies going for a ride outside in the buggy, playing with bubbles, reading circle etc. I couldn't imagine better teachers, there are two for the six infants and there's a shift change midday. They're all extremely capable and work a lot to help develop motor skills (i.e. encourage tummy time, sitting, crawling). They care so much about the babies and clearly love their job. It's such a relief to have a safe and loving place to drop our guy off at everyday! Great care is expensive, but it's worth it for my family. Claim a spot early, we signed up about six months in advance!

The main issue I've had with the school is its management's unwillingness to be proactive,…read morecompetent, and transparent that led me to disenroll my child. In the Spring, my son caught COVID from an outbreak that spread to multiple children in the classroom and subsequently infected our entire family. The school did not inform all the parents of the school of the COVID outbreak. There are common spaces where classrooms gather and come into close contact. I asked the school to inform all the parents of the COVID outbreak since these classrooms are not isolated, but they refused. I requested a meeting with the Executive Director (ED) of the central management office to understand why the school won't inform families of positive cases, especially outbreaks. I explained how greater transparency would keep the school community safe and that families can make their own choice of how much appropriate risk they are willing to take and keep their child home. The ED made very clear that she will NOT inform families of positive cases. I asked why and she could not provide direct, clear responses. I asked what COVID guidance they actually followed, but again she could not articulate nor reference documentation showing their guidelines. I showed her the MCPS dashboard and suggested if the school could try having a weekly dashboard, but she quickly rejected the idea. She was very abrasive, defensive, and evasive. She clearly seemed annoyed parents were asking for clarification on the school's COVID plan. When my son caught COVID, the school provided an action plan stating to quarantine for 5 days. A few days into our quarantine, the school contacted us to take him out of quarantine and get a PCR test result. When I asked why this was necessary as we were sick, didn't want to infect others, and explained that CDC states the positive rapid test results are reliable, they could not provide a sensible explanation and then retracted the request. They also admitted later that they sent the wrong action plan form. Furthermore, weeks earlier, I found a toddler wandering alone into the parking lot. It turned out that the school staff had brought out the wrong child for the parent that had been waiting at pickup so the child walked around confused looking for his parent. I was very alarmed and shocked by this incident. I spoke to the school asking for preventive measures to be put in place and suggested making signs with the child's name and classroom to help identify children at pick up which they eventually implemented. However, another parent informed me that this incident wasn't the first time which was concerning because the school should have rectified this issue at its first occurrence. A few months prior, there was a Hand Foot and Mouth (HFM) outbreak that spread to several classrooms which my son caught. The school only notified the families of the first case and didn't subsequently inform us that HFM had spread to multiple classrooms. The admin staff/teacher vehemently opposed informing families of the outbreak, but eventually accepted when I urged that informing families will ultimately keep us safer and help contain the spread. After having been at this school for several years and happy with my child's teacher, it was disappointing to disenroll my child from the culmination of these events. I wished the school's management would be forward leaning, thoughtful, and more skilled in addressing health and safety issues. Asking for transparency and competency shouldn't have to be so challenging.
