We stopped in after eating nearby at 511 Rose. There's a wall full of jerky (which I grabbed some raspberry habanero or similar one) and a lot of other items throughout the shop. We also grabbed some candle whose wax doubles as lotion. My oldest kid really enjoys the novelty of it and it smells good. The shop is dog friendly too so they offer a few treats for the pups. The shop doesn't stop there. When I say no meat, they also offer vegan and vegetarian jerky options. Coconut strips too! Jams, candles, vintage clothing. They have it all. The woman working also seemed wildly excited about these new lotion candles they sell now too. You light the candle and use the melted wax as a moisturizer. Bananas. I ended up walking away with some gluten free venison jerky for less than $12. Not a bad deal. My family and I stopped in this town and stumbled upon this gift shop. Upon entering, we were greeted by Ruby the friendly pup! Her and the owner shares this wonderful gift shop that has a variety of souvenirs and snacks such as peanuts and jerky. The jerky ranges from regular to exotic proteins such as Alligator, Elk, Wild Boar, Venison, Buffalo, etc. Purchased jerkies: Original Wild Boar, Teriyaki Buffalo and Original Venison. All three of them were so delicious! My favorite is the Wild Boar which happens to have a sweet and peppery taste. Each bag came with roughly 2 large pieces so it's a yummy light snack when hiking up the snowy Guanella Pass Road. Thank you for the wonderful jerky suggestions! The owner was also able to provide great places to visit on a snowy day. Will definitely reccomend friends to make a stop here. read more

Friendly mom and pop store. We are big jerky fanatics especially the jerky in the dry side. We were ecstatic to discover this hidden gem. We tried the deep fried peanut with shells. Different but not a fan. We bought some jerky to take home. It would be even better if the jerky were made locally instead of sourcing from New Mexico and Oklahoma. read more

The store owners couldn't have been nicer and I'm looking forward to visiting the store again on my next trip to Georgetown. I read on another review after I left that you could try some and I wish I had know that or been told that beforehand. With so many exotic meats and flavorings it's hard to choose without tasting. It's a great place to pick up some made in Colorado jerky for a gift. They had some nice candles and things to look through. Owner was very welcoming and informative. Learned that they have been here for two years and are doing very well. We bought the hickory alligator jerky just so we could say we've had alligator. A little salty, very dry and tough but overall pretty good. Also tried the ghost pepper smoked beef strips. More on the soft and tender side. Had a nice kick to it but not enough to over power the taste. Really good stuff. Will be back to try the others. read more
