My 1 star rating is based only on my experience with specific candies which I purchased 6/7/2026. This store had opened one hour earlier than normal to accommodate our tour group. I bought 2 containers of Peanut Brittle and 2 containers of Homemade Coconut Crisps for $43.80. I gave away 3 containers of brittle as gifts and kept 1 box of Coconut Crisps. Unfortunately, almost all of the candies were thrown away because they were so hard that they were almost impossible to eat. One person said he tried to use a hammer to make the pieces much smaller. I tried to soften up the crisps in the microwave but then they became very sticky and too difficult to eat in that form too. So, it is probably best to buy something other than brittle at this store. read more

Whoa! This is a major great place! Everything home made using premium ingredients. Lots of ice cream flavors. My particular favorites are black walnut & black cherry. Black walnut is hard to find but they have it! The Black cherry has decent size chunks of cherry & is so yummy. I'm originally from Michigan & Mackinaw Island is known for their fudge & while I won't go so far as to say Georgetown Valley Candy's fudge is equivalent, it's pretty good & location is a couple thousand miles closer. It's a small location but there are so many fun treats. There's popcorn, chocolate, and ice cream. There was a section in the back where it looks like they're making chocolate. I got the peanut butter cups and they were delicious. It was a nice amount and balance between chocolate and peanut butter. I also got a single scoop of pistachio ice cream and it was huge. Man o Man is this place over the top. We went in for the ice cream, but there is a lot more to it than that. Hand made candies, cool things to decorate your house, and then the ICE CREAM. Their idea of a single scoop on a sugar cone is like a whole pint of ice cream. We are not just talki'n vanilla, chocolate and strawberry, I selected a pralines and cream and my wife selected a butter pecan. Because our out-of-town visitors hadn't ventured into the mountains of Colorado, my husband and I decided a day trip was in order. Our first top - Georgetown! Filled with the cutest shops, delicious restaurants and a killer view, Georgetown definitely gives off the quaint mountain town vibe and happens to be one of my favorites! We started out shopping on Main Street, and stumbled upon Georgetown Valley Candy Company, realizing we needed a sweet treat. SPACE: First to greet us was a little dining area, with vintage tables and chairs available to enjoy sweet treats. The walls surrounding the dining area are filled with trinkets, treasures and other cute souvenirs available for purchase. As we moved inward, we noticed a massive case full of handmade cookies, candy, fudge and caramel corn which legit made my mouth drool. As we moved around the extensive selection of goodies, we easily entertained ourselves with the large collection of kid's toys, stuffed animals, games and more that filled the space. Although decent in size, the space itself feels a bit cramped, but makes for a fun experience. SUSTENANCE: oh my god! I can't even begin with how rich and delicious everything tasted! We opted for a can of the Caramel Corn mixed with almonds for a sweet and salty bite to take home - which was outstanding. The five of us opted to all try at least something from the case (fresh caramel, white chocolate covered Oreo, peanut turtle, boozy chocolate and more!), all of which tasted amazing. Perfectly made and gorgeous in presentation! Also offered - ice cream! Everything you could want can be found here and you must indulge! STAFF: The 3 staff members who assisted us in our orders were downright awesome. They helped in giving us their recommendations, providing samples of just about anything and packaged our order up beautifully. SPECIALS: Due to the upcoming holiday season, almost all the delicious treats were on sale! UHHH-MAZING!!! We visited Georgetown, CO for the first time and came across the candy company. This store was so nostalgic, warm and inviting! The fudge and ice cream were so good! They had these candy almonds that were so yummy as well! Besides the atmosphere and the quality of foods, the service was top-notch! Took the railroad and decided to walk around town. Such a quaint store. Filled with Knick knacks and yummy goodies. The teens loved looking at everything. There were squishies, keychains, stuffed animals, candy, ice cream and chocolate among other things. Wandered around and then couldn't help myself. Had to get them some cute charms for luck and some chocolate for me. We tried the orange chocolate sticks and I had an eclair. He didn't like the orange sticks as too much orange gel candy in it but I ate them all. The eclair was delicious. We will visit again if we come up as it's a cute store. Maybe try some ice cream next time. We were still frozen from the rail ride so too cold this time. read more

When we finally got up to the registers, I told the clerk that I'd like to buy some candies over by the door. She told me to wait until she could serve ice cream to people behind me in line.
