Cute restaurant, bakery, and coffee shop. The restaurant was closing when we walked in but the coffee shop and bakery were still in full swing. They were so nice to let us try their freeze dry candy, which is very unique. Hard to describe as I've never had anything like that before. Super friendly service. Fresh ingredients and very welcoming hospitality: we ate here for lunch and dinner. Had the chicken salad and grilled cheese for lunch. Very good. Dinner- had the spaghetti and meatballs, meatloaf with mashed potatoes and grilled cheese again. Very delicious. Can tell it's all made from starch. The portions are just right- not huge but really, the amount of food one should be eating. read more

Many a skier finds themselves driving back on I 70 asking themselves, "where will I eat?" The signs whizz by and compete to catch your eye. You pull up your phone and stratify a mental list of restaurants with quantitative measurements. Your head swims and you collapse... You wake up back at home, hungrier than ever. You begin to gnaw at the stubs of your fingernails again... Let's cut to the chase. Just go to Mountain Mamas'! I, Ricky Sausage, and Sausage Brochacho and Cornelius Sausage stroll into Mountain Mamas' after a long day of skiing. We are immediately transported to the home of our collective grandmother. It is Christmas time here and we know that some good ol' home cooking awaits us. We are greeted coolly and invited to sit. We order our food and our drinks are brought out promptly. Speed! Sausage Brochacho has ordered the drip coffee. In between slurps, he ponders, "I just love coffee after skiing. It raised my spirit to the moon." His eyes glance heavenward and you can tell a portion of his soul has permanently ascended... In a good way! Cornelius has ordered the iced tea. As he guzzles, he offers, "these are fantastic marshmallow-shapee ice cubes." I have ordered the fluffy latte. The description of ingredients and creation process captivated me. I'm not a sweets guy, so I went out on a limb. I'm so glad I did... This latte was like drinking liquid clouds from coffee mountain in the midst of a cinnamon drizzle. We are in a faraway land - grandma's house, sipping hot beverages after playing in the snow... But wait! The food is here! Sausage Brochacho has ordered the chicken gnocchi soup. He smiles with soup dribbling out of his mouth. "The soup is hearty. The chicken is savory - I can tell he (or she) was a happy chicken. He (or she) didn't know the end was coming." Cornelius has ordered the chicken salad sandwich. "The chicken salad is good... I love the toppings and the croissant was fantastic. I never grew up eating chicken salad..." He wistfully stares into the past. Poor young Cornelius... I have also ordered the chicken salad sandwich. For some reason, I often attribute chicken/tuna/etc salad sandwiches to simplicity. This sandwich added a rich complexity with the addition of onions and tomatoes on a delicious croissant. And a little slice of grapefruit for a spritz on tartness..? Don't mind if I do! I must remark on the incredible bathroom. It felt like an enchanted forest where any frog could walk up and talk to you. The log lady portrait was a cherry on top to transport you to another land. I became the log lady lost in another world. Mountain Mamas' was a random pick within the happenstance of dropping into Georgetown. We were delighted by this wonderful surprise. By the end, we felt at home with the staff bringing out some coffee and iced tea to go. We could guzzle all the way home! Part of Sausage Brochacho's soul is now missing and Cornelius is partially trapped in the past, but it's all for the best. We WILL be coming back on future I 70 trips. This staff here couldn't have been friendlier. I walked in carrying my baby while my husband waited outside with the dog. I ordered a few baked goods and the waitress insisted on helping carry them out to our table and getting us waters. She also offered us a dog treat. A bit later another staff member brought out water for the dog. Then I needed to warm up some milk for a bottle, and they were happy to assist. So friendly and happy to help! We had a pumpkin muffin which was delicious as well as an apple cider donut. And sat at a patio table right on the river. Can't beat it. They also were very into Halloween decor! read more

Mountain Mamas' is quintessential small mountain town Colorado. The spot itself was clean and inviting, and the women working there were friendly without being fake. It's a charming converted old wooden house (bed and breakfast?) with a bakery and kitchen with seating inside. It's definitely made to feel more cozy than fancy. The food was unpretentious but also made with care. There's a sunny little nook with a table by the window on the west side that was perfect to soak in the rays on a cold morning. Views from there of the town and mountains were nice, if not epic. Again, it's cozy. Had the biscuits and gravy with an egg (they gave me two!) that was perfectly over easy with a runny yolk. Tall fluffy biscuits in a nice gravy. Americano was tasty and I stole a bite of my gf's quiche and drink of fancier coffee and both were delicious. Pretty sure they gave me a refill without charging. Would definitely try some of their other items next time I'm in Georgetown. We were there probably around 9:00 on a weekend and were seated fine, but it's a tiny place and they kept warning us of "the rush" to come, so seating may be hit or miss inside. If the weather permits, they have some outdoor seating in an eclectic little backyard type area. The treehouse by the creek was fun to sip coffee in, although it had no table. Was a nice place for a couple, but I could also see bringing my kids as well, so long as letting them run around outside was an option.... (Again, it's cozy.) read more

The ladies in the teeny kitchen never cease to impress. Been here a few times post-hiking and had both the BLT and the chicken salad sandwiches. The place is small and can be a tight squeeze with a few groups at a time but you can take food to go and enjoy lunch at a bistro table in the surrounding area. I happened upon Mountain Mamas' on a road trip back to Denver from Frisco, and WOW was I happy I waited to do brunch. Their servers are all wonderful, their food is incredible, very reasonably priced, and obviously made with heart, their "Fluffy Latte" is easily one of the finest lattes I've ever had, and the to-go donut I took for the road was worth writing home about. 10 out of 10, what an absolute gem! read more

My family and I were stopping into Georgetown, one of our favorite charming towns. I haven't been since I found out I have a gluten intolerance, so I was worried not being able to find things I could eat, let alone something TASTY to eat. Walking into Mountain Mama's, the ladies working were so helpful and told me everything they had that was specialty gluten free. I got their breakfast sandwich with GF bread and it was so delicious, the eggs were cooked to perfection. Their Chai hit the spot, and they also had oat milk available! Everyone in my family said their food and coffee was excellent. The staff was so friendly, I felt like I was at home, eating food all made from scratch! You can taste the dedication and passion in the food served with friendly smiles. Definitely recommend to anyone, especially those that struggle to find good gluten free food! read more

My girlfriend and I came in for coffee and ended up eating a killer sausage breakfast sandwich on a croissant. Then we found out one of the women who works there makes the soups from scratch, even the stalk! So we got the ham and leeks and the tomatoe basil. Omg....so...freaking GOOD! We were looking for lunch, and it wasn't clear from their website or sign whether this place served complete meals, but they do and they're great! Well, maybe more of a brunch focus, but everything we had was good. And lots of fresh pastries to choose from too. Great folks and good prices. We had visited this location when it was a different business, and everything about it is still great: historic building, huge outdoor area with tons of space & character and a treehouse for kids to play. There's even a lil shop in the back for gifts and knickknacks. The decor is fab and makes me feel like I'm taken back to a retro time. We tried a variety of delicious soups and coffee. The sundae itself was great: served in a smaller cup, but filled generously and overflowing with all the good stuff. What really stood out, though, was the staff. A young boy (around 10), a thoughtful teenage girl (about 17), and a friendly young woman in her 20s all provided exceptional customer service. Each of them was respectful, attentive, and remarkably kind. I also felt that they picked up on my neurodivergence and adjusted their communication in a considerate, supportive way -- something I deeply appreciate and don't take for granted. Their warmth and awareness made the experience that much better. Those three team members deserve credit for creating such a welcoming, customer-focused environment. They turned a simple sundae stop into a genuinely uplifting moment.
