Very disappointed. Went to get some Federal .22LR and .380 can this morning, and they were completely out. When the cashier was asked when the ammo might come in, all I got was a shrug and "I don't know". The workers seemed to be more concerned about gossiping about their morning than providing information. Also, I do not believe I received my cash discount that used to be available all the time. Since this company has been bought out or taken over by GLOCK it seems as though it is just another typical corporate business. I do not get the small town welcoming feeling when I walk in the door. By the way, they were late opening the gate this morning as well. I now have doubts about buying my ammo from this store any longer, and I hear the same from many of my friends and family members. read more

Most of the ammo that's listed on the website isn't available. They are very inconsistent in keeping inventory. I used to buy quite a bit from them, its seems to have gone downhill in terms of availability. read more

Came here for Ammo only. Great prices! Customer service: I was helped by Ms. Shiela. Pretty little lady who knows her stuff. She taught me about the mechanics of a buckshot and what to look for when buying for in-home defense or outside. I rarely ever see women in gun shops, so it was a nice experience! Well, she was so sweet that I wanted to take her home with me. If you get the pleasure to see her, you'll be lucky. She'll get you what you need. Location: the parking lot is small in front, but I think there's more space in the back. The store is pretty small, but they really pack their shelves. I saw a lot of varieties of bullets packaged with different amounts of bullets in each. You won't have to choose just one quantity with one price, which is what I experience at the ranges (buy before you go and save!) Would I recommend? Yep! There's a confederate flag on the door, but don't be deterred. I felt no ill will from Ms. Shiela whatsoever (and there's more behind the confederate flag than just racism) Will I be back? I recommend this place for ammunition. Academy Sports was all out of what I needed so it was recommended that I head up the way about 15 minutes to Georgia Arms. I went in on Saturday to get some 9mm ammo and shot gun shells for home defense and some range practice. This was my first time coming here and initially I was a little nervous because the logo for this company contains the retro Georgia flag which has the rebel flag included. I thought maybe I wouldn't be treated well. I was wrong. Let me tell you something, I was treated with respect and not made to feel out of place at all. Don't get me wrong, this is not a foo-foo-fee-fee hold your hand kind of place lol BUT I was pointed in the right direction and also given good advice about the best ammo for my home defense needs. I almost missed my blessing for misjudging based on politics. The ammo store is SMALL. As soon as you walk in there's a man right behind the table. Tell him what you're looking for (or be able to speak to the type of fire arm you have at least). He will literally point to the corner it's in. Read the signs/labels. It's TIGHT so use your manners and everyone will be fine. They also have an online store if you don't feel like fussing with people or spaces. This place makes their own ammunition and the prices are good. I went out and shot at the range immediately after and was pleased. Georgia Arms took a really long time to deliver the order I made months and months ago. However, I have to give them praise for the following: * The actually kept my order in queue. * The order delivered was charged at the original price offered back on 5/25/2009. * They have no qualms about California delivery. * The ammo looks good to me. * Delivered in an ammo can overboxed in a sturdy carton via UPS. The only thing I could really ask for in the future is notification of order shipment. In case you are wondering I ordered some of the Georgia Arms Canned Heat in .357 SIG, 125gr, Full Metal Jacket, 1000 rounds. I've read other reviews , all you need to do is ask them, i was looking for some 38 special that would not kick like a mule in a 442 Smith and Wesson air weight revolver. They recommended a particular round that would fill my need. I have shot some of it and it was a game changer for this light weight revolver.. so give them a chance. For years I've been buying Wad Cutters and they are consistent and of good quality though shipment could be slow, like months at times. Recently I placed an order for TMJ, they were listed in stock, a phone call verified they were in stock, and the order was placed. A week later with no tracking number forthcoming a call unearthed the bullets were and had been out of stock. They should have told me last week. They need to work on this problem. read more

I must say I enjoy plinking their canned heat 185G. I love it a lot! I shot about 100 rounds and my 1911 wasn't cruddy. The bang was nice and smooth no hick ups at all. Georgia Arms, what can I say. They feel the crunch just like everyone else. But, they did not lose their integrity. They did not charge until shipment was ready and they let me know it was on the way. They also only charged the price agreed on even if shipment was delayed due to shortage and demand. I ordered 500 rounds of .45 Long Colt Cowboy Load from Georgia Arms on May 11th. Today, less that three weeks later, the order was delivered. The ammo was loose packed in a metal ammo can and looked great. Since it's so hard to come by I haven't fired any rounds yet to check quality, but visually it looks perfect. These days, actually getting 500 rounds of anything delivered in under 6 months (the current wait for .223 from another vendor) is amazing. One other thing to add... Chris R had in his review the only other thing he could have asked for was notification of the shipment. I'm guessing Georgia Arms read that - I got that notification. Overall, five stars. I have purchased direct from the retial location and at local gun shows. The quality has always been top knotch and I have yet to experience a miss fire on any calibur purchased. While the demand right now seem to be outragious they appear to be handleing it. Anyone not understanding the pressure they are under with the high demand needs to go back to Walmart and stay out of thers way. My last 10 purchases including the gunshow on 2-10-13 were very pleseant, while stock was low and some were out they still did a great job. read more
