This is my 2nd attempt. -food was fine, not great, not bad -service left a lot to be desired, like a lot a lot -waitress was really nice though! -drinks sat at the bar for at least 10 minutes before they were brought on both orders (3rd order never even came but didn't even care by then), don't know flowood customs, but I would have just went and got them myself, but I was worried about getting castrated -I know for a fact this gb location is and has been consistently better than the Hattiesburg and Brookhaven locations, but this was just my experience, sorry, just trying to be transparent read more

Very very rude hostess. I came in and they told us there would be a 10-20 minute wait. The restaurant was empty and they said the wait was because of short staff. I am handicap and on a knee scooter with a cast on my leg and asked if we could just wait at an empty table until there was a server ready and she said no that couldn't be done. There were only very uncomfortable wooden benches in the front in which I would have had my leg sticking out in the doorway if I sat in the only empty seat. We just left. Management is terrible. I ordered to go and when I got home to open my meal it looked HORRIBLE. very unpresentable and dry! On top of that the manager was extremely unprofessional and would not give me a refund. Instead he chose to argue saying that "I should've checked the food before I left". This was my first visit to Georgia Blue. The food totally lived up to the hype created by some of my friends. Special shoutout to our host, SHANE, who was one of the best waiters (he was also the assistant manager at the location) I have ever come across! He was funny, he knew everything about everything on the menu, and was giving a lot of suggestions on what to pick from the menu. Solid lunch or dinner spot in Flowood! I go here for dinner sometimes when I am in Flowood. Solid bar and I really like the menu. A great grilled chicken dinner; I get that pretty much every time I go. Friendly bar tenders and a good beer/cocktail selection. I definitely recommend this location for dinner if you are staying at the Hampton Inn or Home2 in Flowood; very easy access! read more

I'd give this place 6 stars if I could.... Just spent a week in Jackson for work and stayed right by Georgia Blue. The food here is top notch (over the course of our stay we had both lunch and dinner here) but what sets it apart is the service and the vibe. Shane is my nominee for "Best bartender in Mississippi"...made us feel like we were old friends from the first time we walked in and took great care of us both nights we were there. Their regulars are a friendly, engaging bunch (Hi Uncle Steve and Tammy!) and they even had live music on Thursday evening. Great patio, too. Go here. You will leave happy you did. Trust me. We ate here last week while visiting family. The waitress accidentally launched ranch dressing all over me and my 3 year old son. It was all over my clothes and in my son's hair, but we understand accidents happen. They provided wipes to clean up the mess they made, which was fine, even though it left huge stains. The food was about what you'd expect; decent, but unremarkable. When it was time for the check, the waitress added auto-gratuity. I was pretty shocked, considering she'd ruined my clothes and made my son look like Cameron Diaz in There's Something about Mary. It is what it is. Just know that they don't give a damn about you, only the tip. We would have tipped well anyway, considering the difficulties of covid-19 and our appreciation of service industry workers. First time in! Mary Grace provided great customer service. The restaurant was clean and we were greeted upon entering. Tried the fried turnip greens/cheese balls. Not bad at all. We ate ALL of them lol. We both ordered salads and tbey were fresh and tasty. I would recommend this place ro others. read more

We asked for a booth and were led to these brick booths with a round table that was wobbly and much too short for the seats. I'm 5'1" and the table hit me at my belly button sitting down. It took a good 10 minutes for drinks, then another 40 for food. It was okay, but none was fabulous. There are many other GREAT places in Flowood without having to settle for sub par, which is what Georgia Blue is offering. We'd prefer the Brookhaven location to this one. read more

I have to reiterate an experience another reviewer just posted. My wife got the crawfish crapes and she's not one to complain. After she was 3/4 done I tried them and found them absolutely empty inside. So basically you're getting small empty rolled up crapes with a ladle full of sauce over the top for $14. I know restaurants are struggling but if you think the way to catch up in the short run is by skimping out on portions and basically ripping people off and you're not going to lose customers in the process then I think you're going to be sadly mistaken. Our first time eating here, I was super excited to try it! The food was good, I wish I could rate the food separate. The experience however was awful! I had to as 3 times for lemon for our tea. His attitude was horrible...I requested no tomatoes on one of the dishes, he wasn't sure it could be done. I let him know I didn't want the meal if it had tomatoes, he said he would ask and let me know. He passed our table several times and never mentioned it, I finally asked what did they say about the tomatoes, and very smug like he replied well I didn't come back did I? Ummm okayy...rude much! I was miserable with this waitor the entire time. So as a first timer over all restaurant impression...I won't be hurrying back here that's for sure. This location recently opened in place of a failed restaurant. Went with the family to try it because I'd heard good things about its other location. Quite a long wait, but no surprise since people around here act like restaurants are on the verge of extinction. The presentation and atmosphere was nice, although my meal was served on a cutting board which meant food kept falling off. Annoying. The service itself was okay. Two of our orders were wrong. Also, the servers need a bit more training in cleanliness. My boyfriend saw another server's tie dip into the tea while he carried it. He simply removed his tie and continued to serve it to guests. YUCK! The food was mediocre, at best. We all had specialty burgers. None of them had flavor. My daughter had fries with her burger and she said they were really mushy. My boyfriend and I had homemade chips (I was supposed to have sweet potato fries, but that was one of the mistakes made with out order). These were bland. To me they actually tasted like they had been burned. The rating remains at two stars. We were not impressed by the fare, but said we'd give it one more try and see I'd their entrees are any better. For now, they get two stars. ********** My daughter and I went back this week to give GB a second try. We got the exact same table (in the back, right in front of the bathroom). She had a blue cheese burger and I had the Mahi sandwich. My sandwich was the most flavorless thing I'd ever had. I am not sure their cooks know how to season food before cooking. I love the food here. All of it is great.... However, I tried the new jambalaya last night. Did not like it and I love jambalaya. It's soupy with steamed plain white rice in the middle. The sauce tastes like sweet Alfredo sauce maybe better suited for pasta. Also, maybe use country pleasin' andouille. I love the turnip bites, the other pasta, shrimp and grits, mahi tacos and sandwich and everything else. Just a little constructive criticism from a real jambalaya lover: regular jambalaya would be a bigger hit. read more

We have enjoyed eating here in the past. Tonight was not a good experience. Entered and was heading to bar, restaurant was nearly empty. We were told oh no you can't go to bar, she is slammed, though we could see many empty tables in bar area. So sat in the restaurant. The tables and chairs are simply uncomfortable to me. Our waitress tells us to pull out our phones and pull up the menu. I prefer a real menu that I can see all the menu at one time. She let me know there were no menus any longer after last week. Food was just so so. After the meal she brings a credit card reader to the table. We are expected to choose the tip option while she stands over us. I don't know if Covid protocols or technology has replaced the enjoyment of dining out, but I'm done here. read more

Walked in on a busy Sunday but we were told the bar side is open with no wait. Took that option because me & my date were starving. I really like the design of this restaurant. It gives off a very relaxing vibe. They have a good selection of bottled & on tap beers. The service was excellence. The restaurant is spacious enough for small & big groups. The noise level was very low which surprised me. We started off with the Georgia nachos which are superb. It's jalapeños, red beans, queso dip sour cream & smoked sausages. My taste buds were on another level! The sweet tea was delicious & so was my ice cold Stella. I mean here we are on the appetizer & I'm ready to give this place 4 stars. I had to tell myself. "Self! Too soon. Wait for the GB 3 of a kind & the smoked duck that's ahead of you. " I was in check & ready to wait to fully evaluate this fine establishment. So the main dishes arrived. Things took a turn here. The nachos had so much flavor it was an adjustment for me. I had the smoked duck which is covered in a blueberry reduction & homemade sauce over a bed of rice mixed with sweet potatoes & onion. This was a very sweet meal. The Stella helped but I think a red wine would have balanced it better. I also tried the GB 3 of a kind sliders. The best burger was the jalapeño burger. Very juicy & flavorful. Second was the rodeo burger. Last place was the Georgia Burger which was pretty much a normal bacon cheeseburger. We split a peach cobbler for dessert. This was the only disappointing part of our meal. Neither of us cared much for it. GB does get bonus points for the microwavable to go plates. Very high quality compared to the usual Styrofoam ones. Oh I also got an order of fried crawfish tails & remoulade sauce to go. These were good. For all the things I ordered the check was much lower than I usually rack up.
