The reason insurance didn't pay the first time was because the invoice was incorrect (wrong repair). they resubmitted and it was paid in February. fast forward to now, my son was let go and they advised him yesterday (6 months later) that his mom owed 489.22 and that they were deducting it from his last check. Naturally I called insurance company...all claims paid. I called candy Apple and they refuse to give me a bill so I can pay it since it's my vehicle and not my sons problem. They refused. So I went there to get it in person and they still refused. They called the police. Do not use Candy Apple Customs. They obviously are doing some questionable things with billing.

Communication was a little slow, but then again I told them I wasn't in a hurry. Also had them look at my brakes. I had replaced the brake booster with a brand new one from Ecklers, and it never worked right. They removed it and replaced it with a rebuilt OEM unit. They offered me the other unit if I wanted to try to get my money back, and warned that there is an ongoing problem with low quality new parts, they reccomend remanufactured/rebuilt. With all the updates, the car no longer drives like an "old" car, everything feels tight, and with the upgraded steering, probably better than when it left the factory.
