I see why the reviews are so poor here. Unfortunately I just looked at the practice itself, and there are multiple locations, but the Yelpers really did hit the nail on the head. Staff was very rude, unfriendly. I get it's early, but the first impression in an office is the front desk. It is extremely important that you aren't made to feel like you're impositioning them by showing up for a scheduled appointment. Another suggestion would be to get insurance information before your appointment, which would expedidite things. So I didn't have a physical card, so was asked to emaii them. After 20 minutes, I went back up and asked if they got my email, and she simply nodded her head. Another ten minutes later, she calls me up to say she can't open my email. So more time wasted, and I'm trying to get her back to school and me to work. We saw the assistant, and she couldn't crack a smile if she wanted to. I expected a more warm personality for a child. She just stared at her, then told her to try a cream at night but that it might break her out so to take Doxycycline if she does, but said that was not needed, but later said she needs to take it and with food. I was so confused, like did you want her to take it or not. Then she also recommended a face cream for my daughter, and then later said her face was oily and she didn't need any extra moisture, so I was like, did you want her to use face cream or not, and she said well you can or you don't have to. Well thank you for the really informative session with you. I cannot get this time back, nor my money, but I can sure control on where to not recommend you go, and that is this place. read more

I went there a year ago for acne and skin. I am an African American female in her 40's. They did nothing to help. Barely even talk with me and just prescribed me a pill. They were rude and spoke to me like I was dumb. I figured it was hormone related. My face never cleared up and got worse. I went to another dermatologist, Steele Dermatology, who I still see. She determined it was hormones and prescribed me a cream and pill. My skin cleared up and is glowing. I continue to see her every 2 months. read more

God bless Dr. Gross! I recently moved to GA and was so anxious about finding a good dermatologist. I was diagnosed in 2009 with melanoma, and have to get a skin check biannually because of it. My former derm in Virginia had looked at 1 spot in particular twice. He didn't think it looked questionable. Dr. Gross immediately pointed it out and I am so glad he did. Turned out to be my 2nd melanoma. I am so thankful to Dr. Gross - he knows what to look for and he has made me feel at ease from day 1. Now I really can't move again.. read more

I arrived to my appointment 10 minutes late due to an accident near my home. I checked in and was told that it would be just a moment. After an hour passed, I asked how much longer and they said It would be any moment. I waited another 15 minutes and finally just left. While the physicians assistants are great here, it comes at a cost of your time. read more

I was late to an appointment by 8 minutes which lead to me waiting in the lobby for more than an hour with them stating that it was because of me being late; However I have arrived at this place in advance and still have had to wait. Front office assistant was very rude and unfriendly. Same with my doctor. She only talked to me for about 2 minutes and was no help. She acted like I was dumb and talked down to me like I was a child. She couldn't even help me with my problem and referred to someone else. I had an appointment at 10:20 today. I arrived 10 minutes early and signed in. At least 5 people came and went and I still wasn't called, even though the waiting room was empty except for me. When I asked the TWO people at the front, who could see me sitting there, why I wasn't called they checked in the back. I got called"hon" with no apology. I spoke to the "office manager" who was a rude as the front desk. I will never go back and I highly recommend they get some customer service training because they are horrible. read more

From the time you walk in, the secretary looks you up and down and makes a snarl face. Not only is she rude, but has a really bad attitude. For some reason, she thinks getting free Botox makes her $10 per hour, uneducated job feel ok. The Office Manager is just as bad.....I would avoid this place and find somewhere with a better staff. read more

This dermatology office is top notch! Dr. Gross and his entire team truly care about your well-being. I dont know where my daughter would be today without everyone's help. Kayla ( nurse) pushed and pushed to get my daughter approved with my insurance company so she could simply get the med she needed. Thanks to this entire team for everything! I made an account expressly so I could write this review. I made an appointment with this office after hearing wonderful things. It turned into such a nightmare! I initially saw the PA who was nice, but overdid the liquid nitrogen on a wart removal which left a massive scar. Couple months later, I have a follow up appointment with Dr. Gross. He was knowledgable and nice, and that's where the positive things ends. I was offered to have the ugly scar lasered at the med spa free of charge. This was in September. I still have yet to actually have the procedure done as it was canceled and the front office never returned my calls about getting it rescheduled. The front office is rude, unwelcoming, and unhelpful. Calling them is like the biggest inconvenience to them. Dr. Gross was also real quick to jump to accutane for my mild acne which is not okay with me as a first line of treatment. All in all, once I finally have my scar lasered, I will not return nor recommend this office to even my worst enemy. If I had known having a tiny wart removed and having my acne looked at would have resulted in such a horrible, unprofessional, and stressful chain of events, I would have traveled to a remote jungle and made a poultice with some new found ingredients. It certainly would have been less frustrating and taken less time. read more

Scheduled twice with Dr Gross. They gave me the PA every time even though I specifically requested Dr Gross. I'm sensing they get you to see Dr Gross 1 time then stick you with the PA and his team after they suck you in. I'm finding a new doctor! read more

Loved everything about them. The provider was very knowledgeable with excellent bedside manner. We highly recommemed their services.

Dr Gross is great. He can handle all your medical needs for the old dermis and he is happy to do whatever cosmetic stuff you need as well. My mom got her eyebrows tatooed in there and she loves them. read more

After figuring out which building it was in at northside and getting my 10 month old daughter in the stroller, I was NINE minutes late and was not seen at the Cumming location. The rude front desk lady tells me the doctor is already onto the next appointment because they are trying to "stay on schedule" and is doing surgery "because I was late" and she says I can't be seen today and that I was "supposed to get there 20 minutes early to fill out paper work" and that I was technically "20 minutes late". I say "I'm 9 minutes late how in the world is she already mid surgery? And I was NEVER told to come in 20 minutes early and my confirmation message said nothing about that" (I show her the message). She still insists that I was told to come in 20 minutes early and argues with me saying EVERYONE is told 20 minutes. She brings her manager who politely says "The doctor you are supposed to see is doing surgery, it has nothing to do with you being 9 minutes late. this just came up so I had to pull her in to do it". At this point I am beyond myself. The front desk lady blamed it on me yet this other woman admits that it had nothing to do with me being late. Then they tell me I have to wait an hour to even be seen by someone. No way was my young daughter going to sit for an hour in addition to our hour drive over there. I left. Never go to Georgia dermatology center. Extremely rude, dishonest, careless employees. read more

I had gone to Dr. Gross who came highly recommended from a friend. I had him look at a spot on my face and he quickly glanced at it and said it was nothing. During my appointment I was in there for no time at all and felt that he really didn't look well at it. I thought his diagnoses was good because he was so highly thought of in the community. I went to see my esthetician who didn't like the was y the spot looked and recommended I get a second opinion. Good thing I listened because I have Basal Cell Carcinoma. I was turned away from the Cumming office because I arrived less than 10 minutes late for my 4-year old's appointment for an evaluation of an injury to his face. This was our first visit, and I accidentally went to the wrong building on the Northside campus. When I arrived and signed in, the receptionist told me that I may not be able to be seen, since I was not on time. Had I been 20 or 30 minutes late, or even 15 for that matter, I would have understood. But I was less than 10 minutes late. She returned from speaking to the provider, an said they refused to see my son and told me I would have to reschedule. I had driven all the way from Canton with my son for this appointment. I'm sure if the doctor had been running behind I would have been expected to wait, but that is obviously a one-way street. I can't believe no consideration is given to patients, especially new pediatric patients that are unfamiliar with the office. Obviously patients' time is not valued at this practice, and therefore patients themselves must not be valued. I am surprised that there was no more empathy or consideration given to my situation--even a conversation or discussion about the circumstances under which my arrival was delayed. I believe Dr. Gross to be a good dermatologist. and he did correctly diagnose my problem. Unfortunately, he did not use good judgment in referring me to a plastic surgeon. He referred me to the plastic surgeon who works within Georgia Dermatology instead of referring me to a specialist in the field of surgery that would have been in my best interest. Once he saw the results of the surgery, Dr. Gross denied referring me to Dr. Lincenberg (even though it is on record that he did), and he was no longer interested. I have since learned that there are plastic surgeons here in Cumming, GA who specialize in the field of surgery I required. I trusted Dr. Gross' referral. In the future, before I place myself in the hands of another plastic surgeon, I would go to the GA Medical Board and look up the lawsuits of the plastic surgeon referred and check the plastic surgeons reviews. Had I done that, I would not have gone with Dr. Gross' referral. I will now require several surgeries to repair the problem. With the information I now have, I question why Dr. Gross would have referred me to the plastic surgeon he did? Dr. Gross has expanded his practice that includes a plastic surgeon within his facility, a great spa and creams. I prefer a dermatologist who looks after my best interest. read more
