I consider myself fairly "experienced" when it comes to cosmetic enhancement, as I have been getting Botox, Juvederm, etc, for the last 10 years now. My experience at Magnolia Medspa was unlike anything I have ever had. I was so incredibly pleased with my Botox results, but more importantly, I was blown away by how meticulous my injector is. Nichole is so experienced and I learned so much from her just in a short 30 minute appointment. In addition, the front desk coordinator, Kristina, is so friendly and makes sure you are comfortable/taken care of while at your visit. Even though its close to a one hour drive for me to get there, I look forward to getting all of my services done at Magnolia Medspa moving forward! I decided to come here after my dermatologist moved and I needed to get Botox. I have had botox injections before - but the esthetician barely used any at my visit and only injected a couple of places. I could still fully move my forehead for days and weeks afterwards - like NOTHING had been injected. I felt completely RIPPED OFF! They told me to come back if I need a "touch up" - sorry but I have NEVER had to have any touch ups at my regular dermatologists office. I wonder if they are short changing people on amount products they use here?? That was an odd comment...Also I developed a large knot on my forehead at one of the injection sites. My sister came here for some maintenance before her wedding. The needles are too big and my sister bruised almost immediately when getting Botox in her crows feet (she goes once every 3 months and knows how to not bruise). This place changed my life. I went in a few weeks ago to get a hydra facial done to help with my cystic acne. Katie was my Aesthetician and she was absolutely amazing. The knowledge this girl has is insane and she helped me feel less insecure about my acne and acne scars while she was showing me how to properly care for my face. She even sat down and talked with me and created a whole skin care routine for me to follow morning and night and really cared about what i had to say. I love Environs products and ordered some in July 2019. They charged my credit card immediately. After many, many emails I received my product in May 2020 - a full ten months later! I got excuse after excuse after excuse. Then I got an apology and was told because I had to wait so long she would include a gift with my order. Kennedy proceeded to respond to our complaint with defense of her and, believe it or not, even more appalling rudeness. His bedside manner is SUBPAR, and his temper is unprofessional. I am only giving two stars because the Esthetician was very nice, and the place was nicely decorated. I only am writing this review because I expressed my dissatisfaction directly with the owner, and all she did was apologize, and then sadly threw her own employee (the Esthetician) under the bus. I went in for a Hydrafacial, and told them it was my first time going to get this type of service. I usually go to hotel spas, and was going to a med spa for the first time. My skin had a reaction to one of the serums, so I paid extra for an LED light mask to help calm my skin down before I left. This took extra time. Some time into my facial, the girl who worked the front desk came into the room and asked what was taking so long. What shocked me was the rude tone she used speaking to the Esthetician. The Esthetician explained that my face was extremely reddened and she was going to take time to calm my skin down before I left. At that point I felt extremely uncomfortable. When it was time to pay, the owner was standing at the front desk. Her entire demeanor came off condescending to me, when the Esthetician was still explaining why my treatment took longer than usual. The way the staff spoke to this Esthetician was rude, and I asked to speak to the owner to voice my complaint as to why I felt rushed out, uncomfortable, and embarrassed for the Esthetician. She came back to the front, and then proceeded to tell me that it was poor communication on the Esthetician's part, and someone was waiting after me, and it's very hard on them when something takes longer than expected. Being that I was spending over $200 for a service, I was shocked at how all of this became my problem, and how rude the staff was to the Esthetician. I told the owner I didn't want to ever return, and she didn't seem to care. Nor did she offer to do anything to rectify the situation. The poor Esthetician took longer because she was trying to have me leave happy, and yet the owner couldn't care less. There are plenty of spas where I live in Buckhead, and I wouldn't recommend anyone waste their time traveling to this one. They do not care about the client experience, or if you leave happy or not. But they will gladly take your money! (I left the Esthetician a tip, and genuinely feel bad for her that she works there.) read more

Excited to see my favorite Esthetician, I walked in to my Monday 9am appt. Checked in at the front desk for my appt. with Kallysta. The receptionist walked me down to the treatment room and then decided to reveal that my appointment was with Barb. I have no idea who Barb is and the ONLY reason I continued to visit this med spa is because of the excellent service I've always received from Kallysta, despite the cold, unfriendly nature of the other staff members. I asked why no one told me before this moment (the appt was booked 6 weeks ago!). The receptionist asked if I received a confirmation call and I said "indeed I did, but there was no mention anything would be different from my numerous, previous appointments for hydrafacial, oxygen facial, and derma planing with Kallysta. The receptionist never even apologized, just suggested I meet Barb. I said, no thank you and mentioned that this was not a good way to practice a business. Now that Kallysta is no longer employed with this group, I would never step foot in Magnolia MedSpa. The owner, her daughter and many other staff members I've encountered have been rude and act like they are doing you a favor by letting you walk in the door. The owner will, very obviously, check you out from head to toe every single time she sees you. She once commented on my diamond and asked if it was an upgrade or I've always had it. Odd question for a "stranger" to ask (she always acts like its the first time she's ever met you). Three other times, I have walked in for my appointment only to find that I had been bumped from the nice facial room to a closet-sized, brightly lit, medical treatment room (which also does not have all the equipment so you may not be able to get the service you originally booked)! On all these occasions, Kallysta apologized profusely; however, from other staff members, no apologies or substitute accommodations were made, just questions about what I didn't like about the room. The med spa has one (that I know of) pseudo-star client (reality tv) and when she comes in for a service, you will be bumped (no matter how long ago you scheduled your regular appt). I would say, "customer service" is not a topic that gets covered much at this place. read more

I am so incredibly happy with my experience at Magnolia Medspa! I had my first Hydrafacial and absolutely loved it. My face feels so fresh and rejuvenated. It is way better than any other facial I have ever had. The machine they use actually feels like it is sucking the dead skin off of your face, but wasn't irritating or painful at all, slightly relaxing and I came out glowing! The Esthetician Barbara was such a pleasure and you can tell she knows so much about skin care as she has been doing this for 15 years. She customized my treatment to exactly what my skin needed since I have dry cheeks and an oily T-zone. The staff is so friendly and welcoming! Victoria the owner was so sweet and made sure that I was comfortable. She answered all of my questions! I never felt pressured to buy anything, but I really liked the Vital C serum and the tinted daily moisturizer with SPF 45 that Barbara used on me so I picked that up. After my first visit at Magnolia Medspa, I am confident that I will be a returning customer regularly and will probably never waste money on a facial or skin care treatments anywhere else! Not only does the staff treat you like family, but you do not get a medical, sterile feeling like some medspas. The whole ambiance is welcoming, relaxing and beautiful. All of the staff is extremely knowledgable and helpful. I received the Hydrafacial and dermaplaning (added on after evaluation of my skin), and Barbara, the aesthetician, talked me through every single step and catered the facial to my specific skin type. She took notes about what we used on my skin throughout the procedure so we can make adjustments as needed in the future. She made a list of products that she thought I would benefit from and never pressured me to buy anything, but rather provided me with the information for my education. I did end up loving one of the daily moisturizers and was able to conveniently purchase it at checkout. I have had many facials throughout my life and have never really felt any true benefit, other than it being relaxing and fun. I have never experienced a true natural, glowing, fresh feeling after a facial UNTIL Magnolia Medspa. I am beyond thrilled with the results and will definitely be back. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this spa! I walked in anticipating a sterile environment. That was not the case AT ALL. The decor is lovely and you can tell they made a point to add personalized touches to each room. I personally loved the chandeliers! Each team member was super welcoming and made me feel comfortable. I have to admit that I was anxious, because I was receiving laser for the first time. Barbara guided me through every step of the process and even tested it on my arm to help me understand what was going to happen. I was prepared for absolute torture! Boy, was I wrong! The laser was more of an annoying feel than a painful one. The entire process took only 20 minutes. They told me to expect irritation, but gave me some cream to help calm my skin. Despite my sensitive skin, I didn't have any irritation! Woohoo!!! I'm going back for my second treatment later this month and am actually excited to have it done. Haha! I also got a hydrofacial while I was there---such a cool process. I'm a first timer, but my skin felt super smooth afterward. Barbara knew I was headed to drinks afterward, so put some moisturizing tint on my skin. I added a little powder and voila! I was ready for a fun night with a girlfriend!
