They have just extended their dinner table from 12 to 18 people. The basic idea is that you sit around a large community table and talk while you enjoy the food prepared by the hosts. The food is a fusion of southern and Costa Richan flavors. The venue for the experience is the Goat Farm which is off of Howard Mill next to the train tracks in the Goat Farm, which is a community of creative people. The food served is Molecular Gastronomy. The vegetables are local (they have a garden out back). and you get it with a fixed pairing of wine. The menu the night we went consisted of: -Cocktails + canapes -Roasted backyard squash, tomato marmalade, charred heirloom cucumber, parmesan ice cream, black olive powder -Slow cooked hen with leg confit agnolotti, backyard mustard greens, preserved lemon chantilly, roasted onion broth -Fried pineapple pie, vanilla semifreddo, ancho spiced macadamia, cajeta enronada, smoked salt -Candy + cordial The food is nothing short of awesome and the pairing with wine is excellent. In addition you get to meet a number of new people. They arrange these dinners Fridays and Saturdays. I strongly recommend all of your sign up for trying their food.
