IN communication with my daughter I am told a guy came out, climbed the roof and then sat in his truck for over an hour. I went over and viewed camera footage. He climbed the rood but never took a single shingle up there. There were no torn shingles thrown down. Basically nothing was done. I demanded a refund. It took me over a month and lots of pressure (BBB) for Alberto to give me a partial refund. He said his "guy" came clean and admitted to not doing anything. So why a partial refund?

The only reason my husband does not do it himself, is bc of how high it is and we don't have the protection tools in case of fall. We tried to be understanding, bc other ppl truly have their homes in worse shape than us from that storm. And understand that they really do need more work than what we do. Some ppl literally lost their place to live! And we know they need more help than us. But the worst part for me as a mother is this... COMMUNICATION bt the customer and the company SUCKS!!!!!! No communication once so ever! I am home alone with my two babies and I walk around a corner to a man on a ladder by the bedroom window! As a mother...hell no. Not ok. Call my husband. He had no clue anything about it. But this is how it was in July. And may. Maybe two messages was sent in any kind of communication since March. Oh...and one of those messages was about payment. We had a roof leak in the middle of the night. We placed a cooler chest in our attic to catch the…read morewater until we could make calls to roofers in the morning. We called Platinum because we had used them in the past for a different leak. It was a Saturday, so I was uncertain what kind of response, if any, I might get when I called. Luckily for us, Platinum uses an answering service. The answering service asked if it was an emergency; we said, "no", since the cooler in the attic was containing all of the rain. The answering service forwarded the information to Platinum who sent someone to our home before noon. The Platinum representative climbed on our roof to discover several of our shingles had blown off due to the severe weather (and questionable installation technique of the original roofer--NOT Platinum). Since rain was not due for the rest of the weekend, our work was scheduled for late Monday afternoon after the roofer completed another previously scheduled job. By Monday morning, the forecast was for rain by early afternoon which almost caused the postponement of our repair and another attic cooler full of water. However, Platinum called was able to send a roofer who did the repair around lunchtime before any rain had fallen. By the way, We called another roofing company (a company that advertises on The Weather Channel) on Saturday morning and left a message with their answering service. We still haven't heard from them.
