I will admit I was slightly skeptical reading all the great reviews. I wasn't sure the pizza would be that great. I had the prima pepperoni and WOW. The ingredients were fresh and it was sooo cheesy. Who runs this place? I know the employees are running it into the ground!!! First of all I called in an order and the cashier took my order and was rude and dismissive and unhelpful. When we get there they had no lights on just that open sign . It was really dark I guess they wanted everyone to think they were closed. I used the online menu and it said that it had been updated 3 mo.ago. If that's the case why were all the prices wrong. I ordered an antipasto salad and that was pitiful.on line it was $8 but now $12 but not worth $5. There was toilet paper in the r.r or paper towels and water down hand cleanser. I order 2 fountain drinks but they were out of ice. I told the pizza maker and she came out and slammed everything around drops the ice lid rite on the dirty floor and puts back on the ice. When she gets back to the kitchen I heard her being really loud and still slamming things around. I felt like I was in a bad movie!!!! Needless to say don't waste your money or time here!! Great little pizza joint in small town America. I ordered the pepperoni and it didn't disappoint. Every slice was loaded with lots of pepperoni and the cheese was melty and stringy. The crust is really good but it could have been toastier. I will definitely stop again. read more

Coming back from the coast & a visit to McAllen, we found Georgio's purely by luck and let me say this was truly our lucky day. We live in San Antonio and it's difficult to find pizza this good! Add to this the submarine sandwiches and our entire party was so satisfied. The service was great, the ambiance was welcoming, even for the littles ones. Where from San Antonio and been coming here for over 5 years when we come stet at our RV here in George West. This restaurant has always been good, but it seems like every year it's been declining in service, these two young girls working are not friendly at all, come to the counter and she didn't greet us, didn't say anything, I had to initiate order. Their ice machine hasn't been working for weeks. I need ice for my drink! Had to go to the gas station to get ice. We might consider not coming here anymore if they don't fix the ice machine. read more

The highlights were the cleanliness and the fast service (we were also the only family dining). Areas of improvement are staff members attitude and friendliness. As well as the way they make their thin crust pizza. Maybe it was our mistake ordering the thin because there wasn't enough bread to soak up all the grease but please don't let it be yours. Also the Fresh Fried Chips were not fresh and left much to be desired. I usually roll on through Georgewest but decided to stop and get a quick bite, the food at Georgio' was exquisite!! By far the best Stromboli's I've ever had!! Pizza was just as delicious and cheesy and they make it look in The Ninja Turtles haha! And the wings were the perfect addition to the whole mix!! Came from out of town on the way back to Austin Texas and it's a great find! My family and I had their buffalo wings, garlic cheese bread, and gelato. All of it was perfect. The wings were crispy, and the sauce very good, not too vinegary. The ranch with them tasted homemade. The garlic bread was the right amount of crispy and soft and the marinara was warm and tasty. Also seems homemade. The gelato was some of the best I've had. I'm not kidding. The flavors are so close to what they describe it's ridiculous. Especially the pistachio. Stopped in Georgewest to get a bite to eat on our way back home from Laredo. This place was awesome. We had their Philly sub sandwich which was superb. Very good Italian option when you are tired of Mexican food or fast food as they are most of the options here. Really good pizza and pretty good wings. Calzone was crunchy on the outside, perfect on the inside. Super friendly staff and very clean dining area. Called in an order today. Very nice on the phone. Order was late being completed and was wrong. Also was charged more than menu price and the cashier couldn't explain why. She told me my order being wrong wasn't her fault or her responsibility. Very rude. Especially since she gave me her name when i ordered, and she did in fact mess up the order.
